To all you lovely fellow Canadians and confused Americans who took a look. ;p
May your day be bright and joyous no matter your nationality.

Happy turkey day!
And we get to do it all again when our American friends get together for their version of the holiday. It's nice to have staggered celebrations!

I agree! More holidays, more celebrations equals more smiles, me thinks. Besides, a small bonus that my birthday lands usually a day or two off of American Thanksgiving, and I celebrate that one as well because my husband is American. Small world.
Now that's a birthday/holiday overlap that works very well together... Christmas x Birthday, not so much, at least when it comes to getting the infamous present that counts for both. Big feast and family and presents sounds awesome!
Happy thanksgiving! I hope you got sufficiently turkey-stuffed! We went to my brother's place with about a dozen other people potluck-style, and of course my brother's friends are all crazy good cooks so we came home pretty much bursting at the seams. I think I'm going to be eating like a bird for the rest of the week.
