Is it just me or is it hard to want to reply whenever your favorite stories haven't replied back yet? It's frustrating. When they come in I'm excited enough that I can do several replies back to back. If my favorite people don't get to me today I have to struggle with the rest :/

Mini rant over.
Yeah, when you've got your focus in one place, switching tracks can be hard.

The only good way I've found to limit that is to be really stingy about taking on threads! It's a bummer when you have a million ideas, but it pays off later when you're not feeling some of them.

^ This.

After having several frustrating RP experiences in the past, I am incredibly picky about who I choose to do threads with. I even have a list of RP Partner Expectations on my profile to make sure people don't contact me for plotting unless they meet those expectations. Even then, I go to their profiles, observe their cast of characters, get a feel for who they are, and all of this goes into deciding whether I should start a thread with them.

Is it tedious and nitpicky? Probably...but I would rather have a good, long-term RP experience with someone who is a good fit and posts at a speed similar to me than have a bunch of dropped threads due to poor planning and a general inability to commit to the game/thread/session.
