Today was the first SFL game played on Halloween, which was actually far more exciting than one would initially realize. It was a game between divisional rivals the Wichita Airplanes, coached by Clint Black. Not the country artist, of course, some other guy who has no idea what music is, and the Topeka Capitals coached by Kirk Hammet, of course he isn't the same Kirk Hammet that plays for Metallica. Man, what's with all of these coaches sharing names with famous musicians? Anyways, this was an extremely crucial game for both teams, as they were tied for first place in their division. Both teams have records of 15-6, so the winner of today's game runs off with the coveted first place spot of the Central Division.
Now, let's move on from all this pointless sports talk and go for the real reason we're here. While most people attend a football game for the football, today was a bit different. After every touchdown, the mascots for both teams fire away candy into the crowds. Considering it's only the third quarter and the score is tied 35-35, that means a huge number of candy has been fired off into the stands. They're approaching the final quarter and they've fired as much candy as every Walmart in the city of Topeka has, which really was quite a bit.
Some kids in the stadium has treated this as a sort of huge trick-or-treat event during the commercial breaks and time in between quarters. Even Clint's family took advantage of the many adults and personnel of the stadium handing out free candy. What a time to be alive in the city of Topeka. Candy was literally flying everywhere and it was a hectic game that rivaled the heavyweights of the NFL. What more could a person want?

"I can't believe this..."
"Oh boss! You look so adorable!"
Copen was wearing paladin armour and not looking rather happy about it. His crimson eyes felt like they were burning with rage. He had a pouty expression on his face as his floating robot pod hovered around him.
"Only once, Lola, then we go home, okay? This is embarrassing and what if those filthy adepts find me like this?"
His robot sidekick floated around him and laughed softly.
"Oh no, boss! We have more to go! Now c'mon! Enjoy yourself!"

"TOUCHDOWN! WICHITA!" Shouted an announcer throughout the stadium's intercoms. With the successful scoring drive of only twelve plays by the Airplanes, breaking the tense tie of the game and bring the score up to 42-35 following the successful field goal. With the touchdown came the raining of sweets; chocolate, gummies, sours, and even hard candies rained down like some miraculous rain from the sweet gods sitting up in the clouds.
Even non-football fans were sitting in the crowds awaiting for the sugary items to rain down. Carrie and her brother, Toby, wandered about the stadium and they ended up noticing a strange robot. The girl's eyes widened happily. "Whoa! That's an amazing costume! You're like some kind of extravagant cosplayerer, I love it!" She stated happily. She had a bag full of candy, one that's nearly as big as she was.

(I just need to mention this one:
WHY EXTRAVAGANT COSPLAYERS)
WHY EXTRAVAGANT COSPLAYERS)
((You should expect that now, Candy ))
Lola would lightly nudge herself on Copen to talk.
"Talk silly boss! Look! This nice person is giving you some candy!"
Copen rolled his crimson eyes as he sighed a bit. He adjusted his costume while the little robot pod floated around him.
"Why... thank you. Do not mind my robot. She gets overly excited on these sorts of things. She wanted to see everyone's costumes and insisted I gather candy on this crazy day."

Meanwhile, a rather energetic sixteen year old was practically bouncing with excitement as she went to get as many sweets as she could. Arizona was notorious for her huge sweet tooth that never seemed to fade. Her friend, Hunter laughed softly as he went along with her. He had always found her energy and excitemen rather enjoyable. Sometimes he swore the girl could power a whole city with the amount of energy that she had. That seemed to ring true for tonight, though most of it may be due to the amount of sweets Arizona had eaten.
"Really, Lowen... thought you left gambling behind you..." Cynthia chuckled, folding her arms over her chest as she viewed the game going on in the stadium below. "I can't believe that you're actually here to enjoy a game over actually betting on what team will be winning."
"Gummy... Cynthie, darling... I'm hurt by your words," Jack replied in jest, bringing his hand to his chest and clutching at his shirt as if Cynthia had actually said something that had hurt him. Though, he removed his hand and gave a smile as he gently nudged the redhead in the seat next to him.
"I actually won the tickets, and before you go pointin' your investigator's finger at me, hear me out -- it was a radio giveaway that I just so happened to call into at the right time," Jack explained.
"The 'right' time, uh huh," Cynthia scoffed. She opened her mouth again to say something further, but the loud announcement of 'TOUCHDOWN, WICHITA!' rang through the stadium, resulting in an eruption of cheers and candies raining down on the audiences again. A couple pieces found their way onto Cynthia's lap, and it looked like Jack had already been gathering up his own from the stray pieces that found their way toward them.
"C'mon, Cynth. You can't be too mad. I know how much you like sweets~" Jack teased, chuckling as he saw Cynthia give him an amused scoff.
