Shadows swept down upon the festive houses, consuming all in an unforgivable darkness. The land began to quake with a shake so terrible, it was like the rumbling of a hungry beast's stomach. People fled as their house fell, a strange and ominous storm of pure purple madness raining on overhead. Out from underneath the terra a large, intimidating household popped out like toast from an eager toaster. Lightning crashed upon its roof, the sound emitted deafening. For whatever reason a courageous fool would dare to approach such a daemonic hellhole, their visit would not be in vain. For a thousand and more treats awaited in gloomy halls, the taste of them so divine that death was not a worry for most.

However, first before even a slither of a chance to receive Heaven in sugary form, one must first get past...

Him.
Tobias (played by Light_Of_Love)

Tobias stood up, having fallen during the quake. It actually really hurt, considering he fell off the sidewalk. There in front of him was a house he was sure he'd never seen before... Hey, cool, more candy! Score! He looked around, puzzled. were there no other trick-or-treaters on the street today, save for the one or two still walking around? I mean, sure, that earthquake was bad, but it couldn't ruin Halloween!

And so, our small wolf boy approached the house, ready to claim its delicious treats for himself.

The Dark Lord of all that existed sensed a presence lurking amongst the ruined street, heading toward his brilliant gate. MT moved swiftly to reach a window situated above his Manor door. However as he may, he could not find the creature of promise, the one who dared to pass by. It was almost as if they had disappeared into the night. Oh well. At least he was more readier than before to smite the unworthy and reward the faithful!
Zachary was very much looking forward to the Halloween celebrations, being a wizard it gave him the perfect excuse to comfortably dress up in long robes without anyone suspecting him of magic.

He had yet again managed to cross the portal of time and dimension and return to this modern day era that he enjoyed very much, full of strange interesting trinkets and charming people.

He was well dressed for the occasion, making his way to the celebrations when darkness struck down forcing him to venture out and find out the cause of this dense darkness with the intention to put an end to it.

Despite his usually cautious if cowardly attitude, the thought of a ruined event and opportunity to learn was encouragement enough to venture out into the dark and find out the cause of all this ruckus, and there he stood, the imposing manor with its door invitingly if creepily half opened already.

He took a deep breath and walked inside for better measure. "Hello, anyone there?" asked old Zachary louder, certain the darkness came from this peculiar property
On this particular night, Hikari had been a little more excited than she typically had been. Her birthday was just celebrated on the 5th, and now Halloween was the icing on the cake of this particular month. It was always so much fun to go out, pull some harmless pranks, and go around gathering treats and other varying things that people decided to hand off.

However, an earthquake seemed to halt her thoughts and excitement for a moment. Furrowing her brow, Hikari looked around while taking a knee and just attempting to keep calm. This was NOT cool for something that should be a night to be celebrated by anyone that was into the holiday.

Luckily, it did not seem like the earthquake lasted all that long.

"Weird..." Hikari murmured to herself, rubbing the back of her neck as she walked down the street. She saw an odd house that looked... well, for a lack of a better term, out of place. What with the overhead clouds and the fact that the placement just seemed weird... well, perhaps it was worth having a look?

Hearing some people call out and noting that there were others like her, curious about the house, Hikari neared the building. So long as she was not the only one, that must have been something that would have benefited them all if there was something extremely weird going on, right?

Pushing past the gates, Hikari approached the manor.

The Dark Lord watched as more creatures approached, most likely curious of his estate. An almost electrical chuckle of maniacal value broke out from its sizzling core as they entered his land. A little too keen for evaluation, MT slipped through the railings of his stairs, landing at the near bottom. With his Super Ultimate Devastatingly Destructive Staff of Pure Evil in hand and legs akin to cords, The Dark Lord followed the winding, confusing path down the hall of Twisty-Turns toward the front door. He was going to see his 'visitors' worth via his SUDDSPE. Afterward, the decision for the Immensely Holy Divine Curing Treats of Pure Goodness would be made and hopefully, his guests would be allowed a taste of Heaven itself.

Soon the trek through the Twisty-Turns were over and The Grand Toaster had found themself face to face with a Knight, a Mage and an Adventurer of some description. He sensed a theme, but partially ignored the overwhelming feeling of not appealing to enough audiences.

"I suppose you are here for the Eve of the Hallow Ones?" Boomed The Darkest Of Them All, the electricity cracking through the air like an untrained whip. In truth, our Lord had appeared upon the faithless night for such occasion, wishing to share a treasure obtained long ago from a blasted Cat that dubbed itself King of the Universe, whatever that meant. MT raised his SUDDSPE high, the Darken Crystal within glowing with unseen power. The Evaluation had begun.
"Uhmm well I am not sure if you would mind that we come take a look inside? It seems to me the cause of this wretched darkness lies within your walls, preventing travellers from a safe passage and journey in this eventful night" pointed out Zachary as a matter of fact, looking down at the little girl

"She is not mine but she seems to be just as curious to take a look too, apparently" mused Zachary weary of the presence in front of them but determined to make the darkness either lessen or contain itself within the property at all costs.
"Uh..." Hikari started, looking from the individual who had dressed as a mage to the sky where a disembodied voice boomed and cracked. Pursing her lips together, she listened to the other individual there make his response before she simply kept her hand on the hilt of her blade. There was a lot of uncertainty here, that was for sure.

"Well, addressing the Hallow's Eve thing, yeah, that's... that would be the plan..." Hikari went ahead to say, adding her own two cents on the inquiry that the disembodied voice made.

"You may enter my domain- not like you already haven't- but after your worth is proven." The Oh So Dark Toaster buzzed with a delight akin to that of a giddy child on Christmas morning. The "SUDDSPE" rattled and jumped and twitched and boomed, the energy inside tapping into that of The Lord's visitors. He was satisfied with the result, he showed himself to them. Unbeknownst to him, he probably would become the laughing stock of a million villages, but ignorance is, as they say, bliss.

"Follow me carefully and tread lightly, for I shall show you all the path to Divinity itself." MT sputtered, pointing his trusty staff toward a small door and began on his way. Through the tiny archway and through the darkness, a light of grand intensity spilled past the clutches of shadows, into view of all. There was no doubt- the Holy Divine Curing Treats of Pure Goodness lie within that room, ready to be shared with all who entered.

"You may take three and only three- I mean, they are pretty decently sized for nowadays standards." He motioned to a pile of what seemed like treats, except it was so damn bright it'd be hard to choose anything.
Zachary strained his eyes heading to pile all the same

"Well, if it's free and I don't have to pay for it.... why not? They seem pretty good" smiled the old man satisfied, stretching the hand and taking out two candies, pocketting them for later, now even his pocket was glowing.

He took the third and turned to Hikari offering one to her as well.

"Would you like to have it?" offered Zachary always mindful of sharing with others.
Hikari had brought a hand up to shield her eyes as she followed along after the others and were presented with this 'divine' pile of treats, or whatever it was called. That 'whatever it was' glowed brightly and seemed more like a pile of glow rocks than a pile of treats. However, one on their own should not have been too bad. All of them clumped together was what made looking at it so intense.

Looking to the old mage, Hikari's brow furrowed with slight confusion. Waving a hand to his offering in declination, she then turned to the... toaster?

"So, uh... when you say 'three'... do you mean three each, or just three in general? How does this work exactly?"

"Three for yourself, and only yourself." The Toaster crackled and popped, a small.... Grin(???) on his face of stainless steel. He stroked his Evil Goatee and waved around his Evil Staff, for he was the epitome of Evil.
"Oh, well in that case..." Hikari said, no longer having that pebble of slight guilt for declining the mage's offer. Squinting down at the pile of glowing sweets, Hikari felt around before pulling treats, one at a time, into her possession till she had three exactly.

Each of the items were still bright and blinding -- surely some magical trick that made them that way. Hikari was hoping that once she was no longer within the vicinity, or come morning, these candies would be back to their normal state of being.
Zachary pocketed the third one too turning to the toaster

"So... what do they do exactly?" Quizzed the old man curious

"You eat them, Worthy One." The Dark Lord sputtered once more, giving a rather cringey thumbs up despite not even having a thumb.
"I think that if you eat all of them at the same time you'll start to glow, so take from that as you will."
"'Worthy One'?" Hikari parroted in question. It was an interesting title to be bestowed, though she was not going to argue it any further if this was how the individual in question wanted to address her. It was just one night of randomness, after all. Besides, it would maybe make for a good memory later on down the line for whenever Hikari was to meet with other friends.

Putting two of the candies in her pocket, Hikari looked to the third. It seemed weird, but...

Eh, what was the worst that could happen?

Taking the treat, Hikari popped it into her mouth to see just exactly how this glowing candy measured up.
Colin Morvach (played anonymously)

Colin was sitting at home with a pistol to the door, his "NO SOLICTORS" sign seeming to be effective, before the ground shook. Immediately loading his rifle, he kicked down the door, clubbed a random passerby with the butt of his rifle, and dashed towards a house rising from the earth.

The Darkest Toaster of them all grinned- how that was anatomically correct for a toaster was questionable enough. The Holy Divine Treats of Pure Goodness were harmless in a sense, unless slight glowing was considered harmful. As MT watched The Worthy in delight, he sensed another presence approaching the house swiftly.
"Pardon me, oh dearest Worthy Ones, for I believe another wishes to join us." It bowed and slipped through the door into the small passage once more. If the others wished to follow, that would entirely be up to them. But as one searching for Worthy participants, our lovable Dark Lord Toaster had to attend to the newcomer.

Colin stood outside the odd building, rifle raised, pistol loaded, scanning.

A... toaster on legs? Emerged, and Colin lunged forwards, far faster than someone his age should have been able to.
"Well at my old age there are few surprises left to find, these glowing sweets however are a surprise for sure, most amusing" grinned Zachary patting the glowing pocket.

"Might come handy in the night for sure" mused Zachary looking at the new arrival with interest
