’Oh, the joys.’
The house at the end of the road had no need of getting dressed up for Halloween. It was already petrifying. Many people feared it and stayed away from it.
It was a classic haunted style house. Black exterior and interior, cobwebs in every corner, guarded with a huge black fence, all the classics.
The outside was extremely beautiful and old, yet gave off a crawling feeling in your skin, making it riddled with goosebumps. It was extremely detailed from every thick column holding it up, to every gargoyle carved into the doors. The door held a huge chapper in the shape of a skull. Oh, how the kids loved that. The interior held every dark colour and shade you could imagine, mainly black and very dark grey. The sofas were complete leather, the fire was always burning with a very odd glow, people sometimes saying it was blue or green. But, those were only rumours, as no one that went in that house had ever come out.
Now, another Halloween.
The owner of this wretched house was a beatific yet deadly teenager. Literally, deadly.
Eilidh Struthers. Often cursed with the middle name as ‘Hell’, as many people think she is from such a horrible place. She is actually dead. Appears dead too. But, she’s no ghost. She’s completely solid, meaning you could touch her.
And meaning she could harm you.
The house sat there, ready for trick-or-treaters to fall into the trap and discover what awaited them.
Hopefully death, as they will soon pray, the moment they step into that house and the door slams behind them.
There’s no way out.
On this particular Halloween, Eilidh had decided to put in some such of effort, by placing a sign at the gates of her house. She wanted to attract kids to come to her house this year, there wasn’t much last year as the rumours had started to spread from the last ten years of Eilidh ‘kidnapping’ the children that approached her house. Or maybe she didn’t, but they were never seen again. The piece of wood stuck on the gate read; ”Trick or Treaters welcome, much candy awaits.”
She wanted to feel excited, but that was another perk of being dead. She didn’t feel anything. She never smiled, she never cried, she didn’t have to. But, she couldn’t be killed either, so that was some sort of perk, right? You can’t kill a dead girl walking!!
The corpse placed herself on one of her many couches in her living room, placing her extremely skinny and white hand on the arm. Most of it was covered in lace, as she was wearing a lace dress with a blood red belt and blood red flats. It suited her, to be honest, but can clothes suit a corpse?!
No matter, Eilidh had ignored that thought many times before. She would do so again.
She simply say there, staring out of the tinted black window, awaiting what horrors would approach her frightening house.

Ceshokiesh had been chased away from almost every house, he knew he was too old by most people's standards to participate in the childish fun of trick or treating but he didn't care...where he came from was much more free. "...I wish I wasn't so tall" he complained to himself before hearing whispered rumors of a creepy house parents were afraid to take their children to. "IDEA!!" He yelped excitedly and went towards the direction the rumors said.
As he got close to the obviously eerie house he swallowed thickly "Ok, possibly a bad idea...is this really worth it?" He questioned himself and what very little sanity he had "Aw whatever! I've seen worse at home...Queen red is rather scary" he decided to take the risk for his dire sweet cravings...the temptation of candy was too strong.
As he got closer and closer to the door he started getting jumpy, even his own tail managed to scare him once before he stops just at the doorway and his hair frizzes, his ears looking like purple cotton balls among his maroon colored hair and his tail puffing up to three times its normal size "W-woah...bad juju feeling..." He muttered before noticing the teenage girl on the couch "Oh hello!" He said surprised. "Oh um...I mean...Trick or treat!!" He offered up his slightly odd Cheshire cat grin holding his puffed up tail nervously.
He had a bad feeling about actually entering but if enticed by candy or something shiny...or maybe a spider dangling from the ceiling just close enough to make him pounce he wouldn't think twice~

"YAAAAY!~"
Tonight was a big and exciting night an excited little girl was waiting for a month to celebrate. Luna begged Isabelle day after day to get her a costume, and finally the woman couldn't take it anymore, getting her one. The 6 year old jumped up and down, giggling with her big sister as they walked out of the store. Her father,of course, being the childish one he is and buying a costume for himself.
Yeah, her family is weird. He probably got a damn sailor moon dress for Halloween.
Anyway,on the spooky night of Halloween,Luna jumped out of the house in her costume. The costume was a little bear, ears and all. The little girl was proud that she picked it out herself, despite the fact her sister was laughing about her tail every five minutes.
"Oh,shut up! You have a real tail at times Sissy!" she would always respond with a scoff, and her sister would then remain silent.
Luna was jumping up and down, giggling as she held her father's hand and skipping along the sidewalk. As they reached the very, very dark ends of the street, there was a big and spooky house at the end of the street. She had heard of the house before, despite her mother telling her about it. Isabelle said kids went missing at that big house each year,or so that's what the rumors had said. Ed said it was just a story and that Mommy was being spooky, but her mother aurgued it was true. The six year old girl didn't know what to believe anymore.
Shrugging,Luna tugged on her father a sleeve, still jumping up and down with excitement. "Daddy,Daddy lets go to that one!" She exclaimed, giggling as the six hear old pointed to the welcoming sign at the front of the gate. Luna was too focused on candy rather than what would happen when she went to that damn gate.
Gotta think about candy first,man.

The corpse had watched the cat-like creature approach her house with dread.
She prayed that the house would be reasonably kind to him.
She then noticed the little girl on the street ahead.
God, no, please no.
Eilidh’s eyes stung very slightly but she was distracted from the previous creature she had watched and her head turned slowly to peer at him.
“Ah, welcome.” She said slowly and quietly.
“Did you mean that question literally? I’ve never gotten the point of that phrase.” She continued, but she gestured to the bowl of sweeties beside her.
“Please take some and pray take a seat.” She said, gesturing to the sofa across from her as she spoke again.
“I don’t usually get people at Halloween let alone any other time. Please, inform me how your night has been.”

Figuring it'd be a good chance to let their children go out and get some candy, Edward suggested for the group to go trick or treating. It's nice and cool, a perfect night for obtaining loads and loads of candy, to make it even better, this was one of his favorite holidays. Going out and meeting people, collecting candy, and the spookiness made it one of his favorite nights. Generally, he'd hand out homemade candy to kids in the neighborhood, but tonight was different. He wanted to go out with his daughters out on the town.
While he wasn't wearing a sailor moon outfit or anything, he was definitely quite extravagant. He wore a costume based around the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce. If it wasn't for the different hair color, you could easily mistaken Edward for the man. Though, he wasn't nearly as cool as #87 unfortunately. Samaria even went with the family dressed as Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist. They were obviously quite extravagant in their designs. Crystal was a bit more simplistic, as she had a costume based off the praying mantis.
Following the tug of his daughter, he went towards the supposedly spooky house. His wife wasn't above telling them scary stories, so this just had to be one of those terrifying tales, right? At least that's what Edward thought.
"Hang on, sweetie. I'm not as young as I used to be." The man joked, smiling at the little girl.

"...candy!" Ceshokiesh squeaked choking up a bit, he didn't know who this girl was but he knew he liked her already, he practically skipped through the door plopping down just by the candy. He barely registered that he was being talked to because he was so distracted with the candy.
After he ate a few pieces however he began to purr obviously in a blissfully unaware state of mind "Until you people sent me away, too old...psh!" He muttered something that sounded a lot like jibberish to most but by his tone it could be said he might have been paying a compliment "I admit, this place is kinda creepy...but..." He shrugged "I think that makes it much more fun~" he swayed from side to side happily not really wanting to leave even if he risked overstaying his welcome...

Luna glanced up at her father with an annoyed look, raising an eyebrow. "Daddy, you're 23. You're not old." She replied sweetly,a fake halo could probably be seen by Azure if the godess was there. The little girl giggled and skipped to the house, waiting for them at the gate.
Eilidh had been watching the father and daughter from her window as the creature had been stuffing their face with candy.
She then turned to him as they spoke again.
“Ah, thank you. This is how it usually looks, actually.” She admitted, her red eye farting around her room. She then fiddled with her eyepatch and moved her position, crossing her leg and leaning deeper into the couch.
“How many houses have you been to, that have not thrown you out, of course. Pray tell.” She asked him, keeeping an eye on the pair outside as she spoke to the cat thing.

Ceshokiesh blinked sulking a bit as he heard the question on how many had not rejected him "Your the first..." He said noticing he felt someone else approaching. He wondered how long he would be allowed to stay and he also realized something was different about his host "You seem lonely, and you talk like this one vampire I knew who had been around a long time..." He paused from eating candy realizing he probably sounded insane, nobody believed in vampires "Um..." He thought for a moment "Your different aren't you?" He asked curiously then waited for an answer.
Eilidh's attention was brought back to the stranger as they talked. She tilted her head as they spoke about a vampire.
She couldn't help but chuckle lightly. Not too far off, my good sir. She thought to herself.
She raised an eyebrow at his question.
"I can be different on many occasions." She said. "Elaborate, please. I am different, yes, but became I am only me? I'm one of a kind? I'm strange? Creepy? Not human...?" She hesitated on the last option, letting an eerie smile linger on her lips as she stared at her guest, leaning towards him slightly.
"What do you mean, kiddo?" She whispered, her voice layered with venom as she lingered on her words and used a playful nickname.

Ceshokiesh again grinned, his mouth stretching far beyond normal as he heard the venom on the young woman's tone "With all that venom do you bite often?" He prodded her with his mocking tone and words "I can obviously tell you aren't human but niether am I...so please do soothe my itchy curiosity as to what precisely you truly are~" he looked at her obviously a bit mad in the head
...Or maybe the madness was deeper...tainting his very blood. "I am Ceshokiesh...you may call me Cheshur or Chessie if you please..." It is clear above all else he either is completely unphased by this or possibly even feels more comfortable with it... perhaps it reminded him of home? "Do you have a name you'd be willing to share?" He asks taking another candy and eating it as he waits for answers.

((Hope it's alright that I jumped in!))
Meanwhile, a rather small two year old with phoenix wings toddled up to the place. She had a little bag that already contained some goodies, though the sign for free candy had caught Charlotte's eye. She beamed and toddled up to the place, though she did stall and frowned a bit when she saw how spooky it seemed. Her mother, Phoenixheart, was right beside her and the child held her hand tightly as she approached. She just wanted the candy, nothing more, nothing less, though she had to admit that the decor sent shivers up her spine. Besides, Charlotte was a naturally shy girl around strangers.
Noticing her daughter's reaction, Phoenixheart smiled softly and said "We don't have to go here if you don't want to, Charlotte." The two year old half-phoenix simply shook her head and responded, "No. Wanna go." Phoenixheart laughed softly, "Alright, if you say so."

All Hallow's Eve, and there were big plans later that evening after having gotten off from working at the boutique for her and some friends. Viola had gotten dressed before leaving, and she was just now affixing her mask upon her face as she walked down the pavement toward her destination. However, there was an itch in the back of her mind that was telling her to make some stops.
Trick-or-treating was a kid's thing, no? Be that as it may, it was always nice to see if there were any others out there that would humour the young adult as she went around and playfully saying 'trick or treat' to those that she met.
Ah, there was a house that seemed fit for the occasion! All the black made it a little difficult to make out in the night, but... it at least seemed like whoever owned it was in some kind of spirit of it all! And it even looked like there were others that were making their way toward the house to engage in the holiday!
Approaching the house whilst adjusting her sequined dress, Viola looked to the others, waving as she approached with a smile.
"Happy Halloween, everyone!"

Eilidh sighed at the jumpy creature and tilted her head to the window, noticing another person walking up the road to her house. That made her sigh again. She turned back to the cat thing and closed her eyes.
“I would prefer that my species remained unknown, but my name is Eilidh, not known by many either.” She said quietly, but the house was practically silent, making it echo around.

Charlotte continued to approach the house with her mother, the lure of candy like a most deadly trap to her. She always did have a sweet tooth and found it hard to resist offers of candy. She was a lot like her mother in that aspect, though Phoenixheart was wise in who she accepted the offers of candy from. However, with the other houses, Charlotte had been quick to just get the candy and then get away from the house as she didn't much like interacting with strangers for too long. This house was no different. She just wanted to get her candy and get out.
