Arun-Ja (played by Arcol)

"Elves are quite common from where I hail," the elderly Argonian rasped, "More so than men, I would believe."

Keomith shook his head. "I apologize, the only drinks we have are aged juice and water, due to someone's poor resource management and lack of information about taverns."

He looked down at his armor, giving off a small grin. "Thank you, but it isn't mine. It's merely a tool lent to me by a religious militia to aid me for the time being."

"You mentioned something about a crew. Where are you from? And who are you?"

Meanwhile, Half-Robin watched as someone else entered the tavern without even acknowledging anyone else as they sat down at one of the tables. Curious, and a bit annoyed at the lack of politeness, she approached the stranger. "Excuse me," she tapped the stranger's shoulder.
Vara Mayne (played by FreeJayFly)

Listening to Robin and taking another puff from her cigarette, Vara watched for the time being, she reached up with her free hand and pushed some locks of hair from impeding her vision. Listening to the conversation between both Robin and Sue, the brunette stayed silent for the time being.

"Oh, well, we aren't open yet. We're just setting everything up, like tables and drinks and stuff, and Adokas said something about 'meeting the neighbors.' Uhh, sorry about the whole...arrow...thing..."

"Ah... really?" Vara asked, taking a moment to flick some of the ash from her cigarette. She allowed for the silence to linger before taking another drag and blowing some smoke out up into the air.

"Don't worry about the arrow thing. I have to deal with narrow misses with another archer friend of mine whenever we're out doing assignments together..." Vara replied, shrugging off the mishap. "As for the bar not being open and the whole of setting up... need assistance? I don't really know where the next bar is from here, and I'd rather not get lost."
Runolf Vang (played by Pantrane)

No mead, this could get rough. "I guess I'll have something bitter then", Runolf said mostly to himself. One of the staff was nearby and most likely overheard him. He had a few coins of silver and gold on him. They may have been pressed differently than the local coinage, but the metals were all the same.

"The name's Runolf", he told the giant. "Son of the continent of ice and the land of the sun." These were generic terms for the two very different homelands of his parents, the offspring of an explorer and trader.

"I was sailing with my crew... A storm... Then I ended up here", there was worry in his voice as he though of his shipmates. His breathing was quick. Sailing such low and open vessels was dangerous fanfare.

Robin turned away from the new guest and towards Vara, giggling a bit. "Guessing you have pretty quick reflexes, right?" Her ears perked up as soon she heard Vara's sort-of application. "You want to work here?"

Keomith turned to Sue, who was currently polishing both her arm cannon and the serving table, "Something bitter for the lad here." And Sue got to work, squeezing half a lemon in to a tall glass and sliding it across the table. "Runolf, huh? I'm known as Keomith Frightfrightener of the Anakalavi tribe, priest, exorcist, paladin." He extended his hand to shake it, and paid close attention to every word Runfolf said in his tale. After all, as a father, his job was to hear and understand the troubles of all. "I'm sorry to hear that." He held up his emblem once again, engraved with a right hand gauntlet, the symbol of Torm, god of courage and self-sacrifice, and silently prayed for Runolf.
Vara Mayne (played by FreeJayFly)

"Uh... something like that, I guess..." Vara replied. "Just passing the time till the bar is open for the night, I suppose."

Going back to the 'quick reflexes' comment, Vara then went ahead to reply: "I suppose? I guess I don't really notice at times. I guess my flamenco dancing sometimes helps with some of the routines that I have to practise."

"Oooh, a dancer?" She coyly asked, turning to a dark-skinned and red-haired tiefling, wearing a very gaudy eleven suit and writing down and practicing some sort of musical composition with his yarting. "You heat that, Kail? Maybe it'll go great with your sad songs!"

The tiefling scowled at Robin, raising the back of his arm at her and placing a hand on whatever counts as a bicep in his extremely gaunt body, and then going back to his work.

Robin laughed. "Uhh, yeah, I'll let you know about helping out. I gotta talk to the guy in charge really quick." And she stepped towards the robed half-elf and began to whisper about, most likely, Vara.

Watching Robin, Vara seemed at a loss for a hot second before looking over to who they were sharing new banter with. It was good, at the very least, to see a bar whose staff seemed to have a decent enough dynamic between one another.

"Uhh, yeah, I'll let you know about helping out. I gotta talk to the guy in charge really quick."

"Yeah, sure. No problem..." Vara replied, bringing her cigarette back to her lips and continuing about her own business -- or lack thereof -- for the time being. She watched Robin head on off, waiting for whatever her response would be when she was to return.
Runolf Vang (played by Pantrane)

Runolf shook the large man's hand and said, "It's a pleasure." Turning to his glass, he upended it quickly, feeling quite parched. The lemon added a kick to some other sour juice which Runolf couldn't exactly finger.

"Good, good", he said. His hand slid the glass around the table's surface, swirling the juice into a whirlpool. It started to remind him of the ocean, the storm and then his missing crew. So he stopped and looked up.

"So where am I? What continent is this?" Runolf had been to many a lands in his day. But none like this.
Lwyncelyne looked at the staff curiously.

"So what sort of foods or drinks do you serve at this establishment for a tired and weary elf?" asked Lwyncelyne most amused at the arrivals and their conversations
Runolf Vang (played by Pantrane)

Runolf but into the conversation of an elf and a staff member. "They don't have mead, if that's what you're wishin'." He held up his glass.... "Aged juice, they say." He took a long sip. "It packs a punch, a bit."

He watched to see the female elf's reaction, never seeing such a person before. He had heard rumors of elvish people in the Old Legends...
Lwyncelyne pulled back the cloak to reveal her fine pointy ears and smiled warmly and broadly.

"I guess when one is thirty, anything will do... even water. So where are you from?" asked Lwyncelyne looking at Runolf

"Seems in this establishment there are many people from different walks of life... what is your story for being here?" quizzed Lwyncelyne curiously
Runolf Vang (played by Pantrane)

He shrugged after taking a drink from his glass. Whatever fruit was used for this was fermented and did affect his motor skills, although just slightly. He fought the effects which had only just started to begin.

"I was just sailing... Back to the Western continent... The Far West... We were right on course... Then *his hands clapped together dramatically* *PoP*, he loudly exclaimed... Then I fell, about fifty meters from here... Some storm..."

He looked over at her quizzically, seeing the many differences between her and all other people he had met before his trip.
"Oh my that truly sounds and unusual journey for sure. I hope it has turned out to be a pleasant one" smiled Lwyncelyne tucking some of the loose hair strands behind the pointed ear.

"I was just wandering the dense forestry into a crystals cave and when I came out, I had somewhat lost my way, I saw this elf making his way here so I followed too, I must say there are more than just elves but you all look friendly enough" complimented with a warm glowing smile.
Runolf Vang (played by Pantrane)

"So tell me.." The man paused to take a quick swig, making a face at the taste before continuing with, "Exactly what sorts of crystals were in said caverns?"

He'd been known to trade in crystals from time-to-time with the upper classes being in tune and en vogue with crystals. They weren't just jewelry, but also a way they expressed religion. Lots of coin could be made in the trade of rare crystals. Runolf also believed in the power of their vibration.
"The crystals? They contain Earth's magic of course" smiled Lwyncelyne with a wide grin

"Elves harvest them to enhance our power and our skills too" commented casually taking a blue crystal from around her neck to show it to him.
Runolf Vang (played by Pantrane)

His hands dug into a pocket and pulled out a small piece of glass, surrounded by tin into a round mold. It was a rudimentary magnifying glass that he held over the other crystal. "I've not seen such a crystal", he said while examining it. His own viewing glass was a bit advanced for his era.

There was a buzz to the stone he hadn't felt in any other material.

"This stone calls to me", he said, feeling its energy in his hand. "May I trouble you for a sample? A similar stone if this particular one holds value. It's just... Even for evidence to tell the others..."

The stone would become one of legend, assuming Runolf could find his way back from this tavern lost in space and time. And assuming the elf would part with some of the crystals.
"Absolutely... all yours to keep... call it a Hallow Ween treat from us elves, I have more anyhow. A whole bag's worth" nodded Lwyncelyne releasing the chain and letting him keep the pendant.

"I have a lot more of them and each colour gives its wearer a different power, this blue crystal allows you to relocate objects and plants by pointing at them from where they stand to where they should be, very handy when you happen to be travelling, you know, awkwardly large boulders, too wide trees, too raised roots or too low and dense vines, all of those and some more can be easily moved. All you have to do is put the pendant and point with the finger, close your eyes tightly to focus on the object and then you open the eyes and use the index fingers to indicate the... thing... where to move off to. Close your eyes again and it breaks the spell" smiled Lwyncelyne
Runolf Vang (played by Pantrane)

Several projects immediately came into mind. He could do so much with this. But he would only be able to use it in secret. There was no way he could risk letting it slip into the wrong hands. He had always dreamed of redirecting a river to help create a flood plain.

If he could figure out how, this stone could surely help dam the river with boulders on nearby crags.

"And what was your name again, Madame who gave us the stone?"
"Princess Lwyncelyne of the forest elves" smiled the youth pleased to see he had was happy with the gift
