Down, down the road, around the corner of a small bustling town, there was a newly constructed tavern. It hasn't opened yet, as there's a faint candlelight glowing from within and a dark blue cloth draped over where the sign should be.

Jogging down the cobblestone road towards the tavern, is a half-elf, with blonde silvery hair and a wide smile on his face. He's carrying a box of various objects: Costumes, candy, supplies, tools, and various others.

He swings the door open with his right leg, and enters, and the door slowly shuts firmly, leaving a bit of an aura of mystery.

(Roll a d10 to greet someone from inside the Bar.)

Lwyncelyne had caught sight of the elf and just could not resist coming over to investigate. It had been so long since she had seen another one of her kind, the allure was irresistible

Admittedly a tavern was not quite the place for a high born damsel but Lwyncelyne took courage and entered the building all the same.

She didn't know who she would meet but it surely was something to look forward to all the same, all she had to do was to remain polite.

As a stranger approached the door, the commotion coming from inside the tavern suddenly feel silent, only whispers we're barely audible. The voices inside seemed anxious about something, possibly because there's someone, anyone, that stopped by.

After a few minutes passed, the whispers hush and the door to the tavern opens.

It was a young lad, almost human and no older than 16, with blonde hair with a single streak of silver. He had fair skin, and was outfitted in a red and yellow striped shirt, some blue shorts, a stick, and shoes of the same color scheme as the shirt. The most noticeable thing about him were his eyes; they were purely golden, no pupils or sclera or anything.

The boy finally managed to speak.

"H-Hello... Happy Halloween."

"Same to you lad, I'm lady Lwyncelyne... what's your name?" Quizzed Lwyncelyne curious about the golden eyes

"Oh..! M-My name...?" The lad nervously shakes a bit. "It's... Oh, my name..." He's struggling a bit to calm down, let alone speak.

"Oh, it's Benatan! I'm Benatan."

Lwyncelyne smiled and nodded

"Pleased to meet you... so... trick or treat or both?" Quizzed Lwyncelyne with a warm smile

The Argonian, followed by Daedric familiars, approached the tavern, interested in the food and drink it had in store, as well as rest for him and his weary horse. He dismounted, tying his horse to the post without the tavern before entering, his blood-forge disguise glowing orange. He walked to an unoccupied table near the fire without a word of his intentions.

Benatan nervously searched where he stood for some sort of treats to give to his current guest, realizing that there's the smallest instance of a line forming.

A few seconds pass and a second voice calls out from inside the tavern. "Gods, Benny, the sweets are right here!"

From behind Benatan, an aarakocra, donning bright blue armor and helmet, wielding an arm-canon in one hand and a very tiny bag of sweets in the other.

"Come on, you can go back inside. I'll take care of this."

Benatan obliged, heading back into the candlelit darkness.

"Sorry about that. Benatan's a bit of a 'socially refined person.'" The aarakocra chuckled. "I'm Sue, artificer for Profesor Jameson's Guns and current shopkeeper for the Dynamic Star Bar." She tossed two sweets towards the visitors. "I didn't come up with the name, just so you know. That was Adokas's idea."

"Why thank you, very kind of you" smiled Lwyncelyne accepting the offer with a nod of understanding.

It was clear that she was a stranger in this world and events around it but such would not discourage her from trying to be more friendly.

"Heyo everyone" greeted Lwyncelyne to the room at large pulling back the hood to discover her pointy elven ears.

Finally... time away from all the others and time to actually gather her thoughts for the night. The fact that Vara was able to find a bar with as far away from home as she currently was, she was grateful. Parading around the night was not only stressful for her, but it seemed to have done a number on Choomi as well.

"Yep... remind me never to ask Archer what we should do for Halloween..." Vara muttered under her breath as she adjusted her hoodie and walked into the bar. Choomi had been nestled away in her hoodie pocket, eating a honey candy to recuperate from the transformation that had been active just about all night.

Pulling a carton of cigarettes from the other jacket pocket, Vara rose a hand as soon as she entered. The first thing out of her mouth was: "If you got a designated smoker's area, I need it."

Inside the tavern was a rather large party, all of different races and vocations. Some were chatting with others, others were left to their own devices; all lit by a single candle. Very few noticed Lwyncelybe's greeting, only those alone just waved.

"Smoking area's usually out here," Sue responded as she tossed a candy to Vara. From two tables down, a voice shouted out. "I got it!" It was a cat-person, a tabaxi, dressed in a simple chestnut dress and a golden necklace. She held an arrow in one hand, pointing the tip towards a half-elf dressed in a crimson robe and a witch's hat with a single index finder carrying a very small flame, and a longbow in the other. As she readied to fire, Sue tried to call out to the tabaxi, "Robin, do-"

The tabaxi let loose the flaming arrow, hitting the bag of sweets and zipping outdoors, landing on the cobblestone streets and burning the bag to a crisp. She got up to survey the damage.

"Oops..."

As the candy came flying her way, Vara was more than grateful that her moonlighting (and even 'daylighting') as Swallowtail meant that her reflexes were a lot better than they were several years ago. She had caught the candy, though not before flinching somewhat and having to dip down to catch it before it hit the ground.

"Oh, is it?" Vara asked in regards to the outside seating for smokers. "Alright, thanks for that. And thanks for the Halloween treat."

Before Vara could really even start making her way outside, she saw an interesting character appear and seemed more than happy to take care of seeing Vara to something or other. However, it seemed that this new face was interested in something else -- that something else being firing a flaming arrow at whatever it was and burning whatever got shot out of the establishment.

Vara was silent for a long moment as she just made her way outside and watched as the bag of whatever it was smouldered and burned. Pursing her lips, the brunette took a cigarette from her carton, made her way to the burning bag, and decided not to waste the flames and brought one end of the cigarette to the fire. Once it was lit, she brought it to her lips, taking a drag before blowing the smoke away.

"So, uh... you're... what... my server or host?"

"I apologize for that, give me a minute," Sue sighed, looking for a replacement bag.

"I was trying to light the cigarette, if that's what you were wondering," Robin shouted at Sue.

"Hey, Robin? Don't do that. Don't ever do that. She didn't even have one out!"

Robin turned to Varya. "Oh, well, we aren't open yet. We're just setting everything up, like tables and drinks and stuff, and Adokas said something about 'meeting the neighbors.' Uhh, sorry about the whole...arrow...thing..."

"Well for all it's worth you clearly have good aim" complimented Lwyncelyne politely sitting across from Arun-ja.

"Are you new here too? This place seems chaotic but very cheerful and festive for sure" smiled Lwyncelyne waiting to be given sweets and food

Things had gone off kilter for Runolf... Literally.

He'd been sailing in a longboat farter from the Vannishlands than ever before. Smooth sailing turned into nature's fury as a freak electrical storm turned the ocean into a maelstrom. The ship rocked and listed on it's side until there was an updraft. Something shot out of the water, a ship, advanced! It leapt into the air as if it were made of lights.

The wake of the airship lifted the longboat, Runolf and the other Black Vikings high into the sky. There was a blinding flash. Next thing Runolf knew, he was alone and in a settlement no less. There was writing which looked foreign, but he could read it.

He heard voices in weird tongues, but could understand it. One word stuck out to him. Bar... He had to find out what happened, but first... Mead... Drinks..

He staggered towards the door, still dizzy and with aches in his shoulder. Once he crossed the threshold, he looked for a place to park himself.

Arun-Ja looked over. "More or less, my lady," he spoke with a slight rasp, "I have traveled so far in the past few days, so I decided to take a small break here. And what brings you here?"

As Half-Robin watched and listened, the clanking of armor grew louder and closer. A massive mountain of a man, with gray flesh and donning golden armor.

"Keomith, you're supposed to be in costume!" Robin exclaimed.

"I'm sorry, m'lady, but a paladin's job is to be ready for combat at all times. Especially with all these demons around on this particular day." The goliath calmly responded.

Robin sighed, turning to everyone else. "Don't mind him, he's a self-proclaimed exorcist."

Keomith's eyes watched over the conversing group, hand on his emblem, his holy symbol. His eyes wandered to see another man, stumbling through the streets, surrounded by one or two dark wisps only he could see. Without warning, he headed towards the man, colliding with Robin along the way. "Hey, watch it!" She would shout, but Keomith paid no mind to it.

Presenting his holy symbol, the wisps fled, and Keomith asked the man. "Excuse me, sir, are you well?"

Runolf felt a pressure lift from his temples and shoulders as the invisible wisps left. It was a pressure he'd felt for the longest time. Ever since he stumbled upon some old ruins, on an island called Skorvold, he'd felt as if he were being watched. The release left him even more dazed.

Now totally stunned, he careened around the tavern. He just about bumped into a massive figure. The booming voice asked if he were okay.

"I.. My crew.. I.." He sighed out of frustration. "I need a drink. The lads.. I hope they're safe."

The Black Viking looked over the giant's impressive armor. There was some interesting symbol he wore. Warriors such as these were not fighting for the Vannishlands at this moment in history. They mostly wore light armor such as leather, chain or basic plate.

The heavy armor impressed Runolf enough to distract him. He caught the attention of a server and asked, "Have you any mead? And strong, please."

Looking towards the paladin, he asked, "Quite the armor. Impressive and a gargantuan at that..."

Runolf had no clue where he was, but he was an explorer in heart and by trade. He'd figure this place out.

Aekra stepped into the tavern, at least looking for a drink or something.

Lwyncelyne pointed at the room

"I found an elf, I haven't seen one for centuries" smiled Lwyncelyne excited at the encounter
