On this Halloween evening, a rather young looking phoenix sat outside her home, waiting to see if anyone would pass by for candy. She may have looked nineteen, but in reality, she was close to forty years old. Those wings of hers that rested on her back were also real, though as tonight was a night to dress in costumes, one may just think they were just some sort of extravagant and well made costume pieces. The 'young' phoenix also kept a watchful eye on a very giddy Charlotte((Charlotte is her youngest daughter in case anyone was wondering)). The two year old had already done her trick or treating, though insisted she wasn't tired and wanted to help hand out candy. However, that was mostly an excuse for her to attempt to sneak some more candy onto her stash.

"Charlotte, honey, you're supposed to be giving the candy to the other kids. You already have enough. If we have any left over by the end of tonight, then you can have some more, alright?" Phoenixheart said gently when she noticed what Charlotte was doing. Charlotte pouted a bit but, nodded in understanding and responded "Alwight, mama." before letting out a small, tired yawn.

Kyoya was helping Charlotte hand out the candy, though he ended up eating as much as Charlotte did 'cause he's a totally mature adult that's setting a perfect example for his daughter, or so he thought anyways. People just assumed Kyoya was some extravagant displayed himself due to the unnecessarily realistic looking armor on him. The father absolutely loved Halloween in every aspect. It was a fun night for him to have an excuse to pig out on candy, even if a hyper Kyoya drove his wife nuts. He'd be lucky if he wasn't sleeping outside tonight.

Meanwhile, Serena was out with Edward going from door to door as she made her way back home. Like her father, the kid loved Halloween, and the sweets to go along with it. She enjoyed making candy, distributing it, and of course eating it. She was like her mother in that aspect, candy being her Kryptonite essentially.

"Talk normal. Good Good, but so lame lol..."

He was wearing what appeared to be an old school prisoner's uniform. He flashed a rather fanged grin as he would snicker softly. The Korean Meme lord sniggled softly. However, candy was something he loved. It would make him a bit more... wild. The adept would saunter himself around, having a good haul so far. Asroc and everyone else wanted him out for a while, maybe due to him being super annoying.

He did spot one house. He would head over to it. Maybe pull some 'pranks' himself in return.

Phoenixheart sighed a bit, knowing that since Kyoya was sneaking candy, Charlotte was likely to follow her father's example. Although she's threatened Kyoya a few times with sleeping outside if he snuck candy, she didn't really mean it and she got the feeling he knew she didn't. Despite how crazy he drove her at times, she still loved him. In fact, she kind of enjoyed the crazier moments between them. It kept her on her toes to say the very least. Charlotte had noticed someone approaching and stuck close to her mother. She always was a bit shy around new people.

Meanwhile, Lily was out with Edward as well. She wanted to help keep an eye on her sister and maybe get some candy along the way as well. Like her parents, she also had a major sweet tooth. She took every opportunity she could to get her hands on some sweets.

Tonight was the night that Pixie and Beltrán's kids had been waiting for. The night of being able to go around in costume to go trick or treating around the neighbourhoods in town. Of course, being located in the country, it was certainly hard to do anything that was remotely related to trick-or-treating.

Having parked in a nearby public attraction that had been close to the residential area, Pixie got her two boys ready for the night, straightening out their costumes and giving them their pillowcases for their rounds of the night.

Alonzo had been dressed like a ninja, donned in black with his face covered. No weapons aside from a plastic katana to complement his appearance. His brother, Luthias, was dressed up as one of his favourite characters from a video game that they played a lot; he had an obvious wig that was wild in appearance with a bright green colouration to it, a stained lab coat, a red shirt, and black scrubs.

Taking care and following along after her kids, Pixie was a little upset that her husband could not join them that evening, but so long as the kids were having fun, they could at least talk about it, and Pixie could have planned something for the two of them later.

"Don't run off too far, boys!" Pixie called after the twins as they already had run across the street, Pixie following after them in a somewhat hurried pace.

"Oh wow, mum, look at her wings!" Luthias said, pointing as they reached the first house. Pixie looked up and saw. Those wings on the woman looked stunning, and Pixie smiled to her boys as they excitedly ran toward the house, pillowcases readied. Both of them started saying 'trick-or-treat' before even reaching the door.

Charlotte caught sight of the approaching boys and had shyly hidden her mother. For someone who was so insistent on helping hand out candy, she wasn't doing a very good job. She just couldn't help being so shy.

Phoenixheart smiled reassuringly at Charlotte. "It's alright, Charlotte. Why don't you give these boys some candy?" she suggested. Charlotte quietly nodded and shyly did as suggested, shyly handing the boys some of the candy she was supposed to give out before hiding behind her mother again.

Like her mother, Charlotte also had a pair of phoenix wings that rested on her back and they gave a small nervous flutter as she shyly peeked out at the boys from behind Phoenixheart.

This was a huge night. The Hayes children were permitted to go trick or treating on their own.

Well, sorta.

Kate was the leader of the pack, wearing a Jack-O'-Lantern costume, with a large pocket that was meant to be used as candy storage. She also had a black, long sleeved Tshirt and leggings, and her ordinary footwear. She was in charge of the others. She also had a flashlight.

Gracie had a princess dress on. Her hair was up in a bun, making her hearing aids slightly noticeable. She had a cute costume tiara on, and carried a pillowcase.

Max and Drew had realized the year before that dressing up in twin costumes would likely score them more candy. Thus, Max had a Luigi costume, while Drew proudly sported a Mario getup. They each carry plain tote bags with One-Up mushroom stickers stuck on them.

Kayla is wearing a Minecraft diamond armor outfit, complete with a foam sword. She also carries a Dirt Block styled bag.

All 5 children approach the house, led by Kate. Everyone's excited.

Phoenixheart smiled slightly when she noticed a group of approaching kids who appeared to be siblings. It seemed she wasn't the only one who had a large family. Though, it seemed this family was also larger than hers as she only had four children.

By this point, Charlotte had dozed off while snuggling close to her mother and clinging a bit tightly to her. She never really liked being away from her parents or having them out of her line of sight. She was rather clingy with both of them and Phoenixheart just happened to be closer at the moment.

Being careful not to disturb Charlotte, Phoenixheart readied to hand out the candies to the trick or treaters that were approaching.

Wasting no time, both Luthias and Alonzo opened their pillowcases for the treats to come into their possession. Grins were plastered on their faces. However, it was Luthias that paid a bit more attention to Charlotte when she came more out of hiding. His expression turned to awe as he exclaimed, "oh wow! You got neat wings, too! Did your mum make them!? Our mum made our costumes, maybe she can make us something that cool next year!"

Overhearing, Pixie stood close to her twins, smiling as she listened. She was just happy that it seemed that her boys were having a good time and were not causing any mischief... yet.

The Hayes siblings stop once they're close to the house, waiting for their turn to get candy.

Charlotte had slowly come out of her dozing and shyly hid behind her mother again. However, she did smile shyly as she quietly responded, "T-thank you... wings weal." Phoenixheart smiled slightly, glad that Charlotte was interacting with other kids. Sure it wasn't much, but it was certainly good.

Charlotte had always been rather shy and preferred to stick close to her parents or her siblings at all times, especially when around strangers. Though, that didn't stop her from wanting to talk to other kids. She just had to get over her shyness.

"Madeline, be careful!" Elliot yelled after his five year old daughter, who decided to just bolt down the sidewalk from the excitement of it all, her bag swinging back and fourth and spilling the occasional piece of candy.

Elliot didn't want anything to do with Halloween. He wanted to stay at home, lock the doors, and make it look like he wasn't home so no one would come bother him. Madeline, however, was ecstatic, and Elliot just couldn't say no to her smiling face when she asked to go trick or treating. She was incredibly proud of her costume this year, too: a witch with a black, long-sleeved dress, some black and white striped leggings, a pair of boots, and a pointed witch hat that was a couple sizes too big and had the tendency to slip down her face. She was so excited to show off her costume this year, and Elliot couldn't help but be excited with her, despite his usual aversion to anything that involves leaving the house and dealing with people for a few hours.

Elliot trailed behind his sprinting child, picking her fallen candy off of the ground as he tried to keep up with her. He glanced up and noticed she was running up to someone's house. He sighed and sped up to a light jog after her, wondering how he was going to manage to keep up with his energetic child for the next few hours.

Madeline bolted up to the house and held open her bag at the door. She panted and stared up shyly, before managing to squeak out a near-silent, "Trick or treat." She glanced behind her anxiously, wondering where her papa went, but relaxing when she saw him heading towards the house and she turned back around. She really liked the wings, but felt too shy to tell the family how cool she thought they were.

Elliot caught up shortly and put the candy she dropped back into her bag. "Don't run off anymore, Madeline," He said softly, but with a stern tone to his voice. He looked up at the family handing out the candy and gave them a nod of acknowledgment. The wings sure were interesting.

Kayla dashes forward some more, prompting the others to run after her. In the process, Max's hat falls off, and he has to go get it.

"Wow! Mum, you hear that!? Her wings are real!" Alonzo piped up to his mother after he and his brother heard what Charlotte told them. "Mum, you gotta make us something cool like those wings next Halloween! Please!"

"Yeah, mum! Wings would be so awesome! But I want... I want, like, demon wings! Can you do that, mum!?" Luthias chimed in. The twin boys were getting very excited about the prospect of having realistic looking wings for their costumes... but something was telling their mother that the two would forget before November even ended.

"We'll see what I can do next year, boys," Pixie replied, chuckling softly to their enthusiasm. She then turned her attention back the Phoenixheart and her daughter. "Thanks for the treats. My boys are certainly enjoying themselves. Happy Halloween, and have an enjoyable rest of the evening~ Boys, c'mon, let's go to the next house before we keep holding more people up that want treats."

"Oh! Yeah! Sorry mum!" Luthias said, realising that there had been other people around. He looked back to Charlotte and laughed with glee -- he was more excited about getting more candy, but he seemed mindful enough to say: "it was nice meeting you! Happy Halloween!" whereas Alonzo had heard their mother and was already marching his way to the next house in pursuit of more sugary goodness.

The group of children walk up to Phoenixheart. "Trick or treat!" they all say, completely out of sync. "Those wings are really cool looking!" Kayla says to Phoenixheart and Charlotte.

Despite her shyness, Charlotte managed to squeak out a small "Bye bye" to the boy that had been talking to her. Phoenixheart smiled softly, glad Charlotte spoke a bit to at least one of the kids. It may not have seemed like much, but it was good Charlotte was getting over her shyness just a bit. Phoenixheart happily waved to the two boys and their mother as they left and responded "No problem! You have a happy Halloween and great rest of the evening as well!"

She then turned her attention to the next trick or treaters, the siblings that she had seen approaching earlier and a shy seeming girl with who Phoenixheart assumed to be the girl's father. She smiled and handed out some candy to each of them. She smiled at the compliment that one of the girls in the group of siblings had given her and replied "Thank you." Charlotte had gone silent again and shyly peered out at all of the newcomers.

"Thank you!" the children say out of sync. Drew says "One-up!" as he puts the candy in his bag, a plain tote with some Mario stickers on it.

“Thanks,” Madeline said quietly, and in a quick burst of courage, added an equally quiet, “I like your costumes.”

Elliot stood behind Madeline and fixed her hat, which was starting to slip and fall down over her eyes.

Phoenixheart smiled towards the siblings as they thanked her. "No problem. You five have a happy Halloween." she happily responded.

She then smiled and said "Thank you. I like your costume, too." in response to the shyer girl who wasn't a part of the group of siblings complimenting her and Charlotte's costumes.

The siblings wave goodbye and get moving. "Thanks again!" Gracie says.
