Hi guys,
I got the "barre" a little high, when it comes to a good reading.
I'm looking for a sci-fi work, in the type of a diary, a kind of intimate narrative, about some kind of Alien, or an astronaut going under mutations, or an human experiment in a labo, you get the idea.
and with some quality to the litterature, the level of speech, use of various words to describes precisely what is going on, in clear : an Adult Sci-Fi, movie, or book.
I want to read of course, but if out here there is something akin to a book of this standard in a movie (never in my life I came across a movie better than the book especially for what I'm looing for.) - If you can tell me, and point me on some books you have read or heard of that fit my looking for, please tell me in this post!
See you,
Red

Beowulf's Children by Jerry Pournelle, Larry Niven, and Steven Barnes might entertain you; it's not exactly what fits the bill but there are aliens and there are humans reaping the consequences of what the people before them have done.
I'll see if I can't sniff out more from my old collection--it's been downsized considerably over the last few years with moves, but I know I've read the like!

It's not an epistolary novel, and is a short story, but Zima Blue by Alistair Reynolds found in the book by the same title is really good. Alistair Reynolds is known for writing that genre along with space opera as well as dark hard science fiction. Really good author, but out of what I have read of him, I would suggest the short Zima Blue, it is the last in the book if you do pick it up.
