Hey all, I want to start an rp based off the book Incarceron. I want the plot to happen during the same time as the actual story, but, since the prison is so huge, we'll likely never meet the characters. For those that don't know, Incarceron is a massive prison, big enough to be its own world. There are people sent there from the true world for crimes, and the cell-born. People born of the prison, who often have some mechanical parts to them. But the major plot twist, Incaceron is alive, and a tiny cube hanging off the warden's cane. But the prison will do anything to prevent one's escape.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.

I'll go ahead a make a starter in the fantasy forum. Anyone else who wants to join can jump in. Also changing things from the book to make it more like fantasy, so we can have a thicker plot-line.

Incarceron is a prison so vast that it contains not only cells and corridors, but metal forests, dilapidated cities, and wilderness. It has been sealed for centuries, and only one man has ever escaped. Finn has always been a prisoner here. Although he has no memory of his childhood, he is sure he came from Outside. His link to the Outside, his chance to break free, is Claudia, the warden's daughter, herself determined to escape an arranged marriage. They are up against impossible odds, but one thing looms above all: Incarceron itself is alive. Incarceron is a living prison created by a past king. The king had made it to be a paradise from their collasped world, but in time it created its own agenda, turning itself into a living hell. Metal forests, circuitry animals, black skies, and red Eyes. The Eyes watch the Prisoners closely, waiting for a time to torment its captive audience. Animals that are more machine than meat. Forests that will shred you to bloody bits in seconds. Where Escape is futile, the Stars are sacred.
