The smirk had grown only wider at his conclusions, in most daunting way. But when she was finally in seclusion of her room, slight amusement fell away and the girl sat down on bed, rubbing hands over her face. It had been a long day and it was nowhere done yet...
Few rooms down, shadows in corners of room slightly shivered for half a second, as her spies settled in. If Myron would do something suspicious or leave the room, or even worse - the inn -, she would immediately know. Part of her mind linked to the shadowy existences, she had more ears and eyes than most could comprehend.
With chronicler's precision, Leila entered today's events in her diary, and only then she settled for something alike light sleep. Next morning, she was up before dawn and not long after - ready for the day. Hair braided in thick braid well past her mid-back, different dress - this seemed absolutely black, except in certain light, it turned out to be midnight blue with small sparkles like stars sprinkled on. High neck, slightly flared sleeves and over it, a cloak that went to the ground of thick, but light material. The girl's bag was hidden under it, but really, it was more of an accessory than actual item keeper.
Heavy was her knock on Myron's doors, nearly a bang. He had to get up now if he wanted to have a meal before they departed.

Myron meanwhile almost instantly fell asleep on the bed. It had been late in the night where he came from, and a stressful one at that. Borris stayed awake for quite a while, not trusting the shadows one bit as he tried to stay as far away from them as possible.
The next morning Myron had vanished from his bed. One moment he was there, the other he was gone. Luckily he wasn't far. He had changed his attire though, a sand colored shirt with baggy leather pants and a black jacket with a hood.
Outside the Djala was throwing a bladed boomerang, looking like an edged star. It had a magnificent golden glow to it as well as strange inscriptions. Each time he threw it he jumped three times his size and did a backflip every time he caught it, which was always. Not once did he drop his weapon. He knew this would attract attention, but he didn't seem too worried about that.

Leila's shadow minions, or maybe companions, alerted her of his changed location a moment too late and faint sigh escaped her lips. Turning around on her heel sharply, she walked downstairs in a quick and determined pace, then out of the inn, heading directly to Myron - he had been found while she moved.
"Enough with the exercises, if you want breakfast. We need to be on ship in an hour. And next time, I won't remind you about meals. If you miss it, you miss it," she informed the younger man. It didn't seem she was impressed by said activity, but mentally, the girl took note of his weapon and how he handled it. Apparently a bit more than just an arrogant kid. But she wasn't surprised. Most possessed some self-defense skills. The boomerang was probably somehow magically linked to him, like the rest of his fancy items.
The small town was now much busier than last night. At the docks, there was a ship which looked strange enough - with shiny, solid material sails and thick mast that had signs engraved on it. People carried boxes back and forth of it, and there was strong smells in the air - spices, fishes, something burning and a bunch that were hard to identify.

In the middle of another back flip he pulled out a sausage from his pocket. As he landed he stepped aside, the boomerang flew by, carving through the ground until it finally came to a stop 10 meters further, leaving a stripe in the dirt as it went."I already got something. People are so slow in the morning." He grinned, inclining the morning gives him some sort of boost of his powers.
Soon when the pair would finally be set to go, he took note of the business in town. It was to be expected that a town would be empty at night. But he did not expect it to thrive so well during the day."Huh. Someone brought a box of bugs." He stated as he heard some kind of chittering from within a box."We're not going on the bug boat, are we?

Between her brows, a small line formed, watching the bustle and her 'companion' with distant look in the eyes. "Fine then," she said simply, probably not going to bother with Myron's meals ever again. If this morning she hadn't needed to wake him up, she wouldn't have mentioned it at all, anyways. Despite what the situation might suggest, she was not the eccentric nanny type. Not expecting anyone to appear, the girl hadn't even considered someone seemingly younger than her coming. It did give her a slight advantage, however.
Upon his inquiry, Leila shrugged. "Only ship going between Isle and this port." That was his answer and with this, the young girl turned around, heading back to the inn. She still had a meal to eat. Some gazes followed her, with distrust, dislike or even... Envy and then locked on Myron, probably one of the few people she had interacted with in this city. And on top of that, he was a newcomer.
Leila had a quick meal, paid for everything exactly as much as was stated in a bill, not a copper coin more, and went back outside. Her gaze pierced few of the men staring at her, smirk freezing them, as she walked towards where Shadows told Myron was, if he was not in the immediate sight.

Myron didn't run off anywhere. Though he had no intention of staying close to Leila. He had been at the town plaza, challenging local people for their coin to do various tricks they never though a man of his size would be able to do. Sadly for the losers Myron could do anything he was dared, such as crawling onto a roof, doing push ups whilst doing a handstand and beating a sailor in a friendly brawl. He was plenty of sliver richer before Leila came to get him.
"Come along now, little street clown," she told him in quiet, steady tone, not with exactly insulting note to it, but a bit like how a royalty would speak with some commoner. But Myron would most likely soon see that she never acted truly differently. Leila wore this mannerism like another cloak - concealing her true self and interposing between her and the others.
Looking at the young girl who walked to the ship now, no one would guess she had slept so little during the night. At the plank reaching to the shop, Leila dropped few coins in hand of the sailor who was apparently responsible for tickets. He seemed to be confused, looking at the metal circles in his hand, then looked back at her and she simply rose two fingers, answering man's silent question in same manner. He hurriedly nodded then, understanding dawning, and handed her two papers.
She walked up the plank in same, balanced, beautiful pace as she walked on stable ground and looked back at Myron, brow slightly furrowed. Maybe she was feeling something was out of the place or displeased with something? It was hard to tell. Maybe the girl just didn't like sailing and ships.

"You go ahead and call me a street clown whilst I count my shiny new money." He chuckles as he follows her and shakes his bag of easy earned coin in front of her face until pushed away.
Myron couldn't really do much but look around and follow Leila for the moment. Though he did notice the confusion on the sailor's face. Compared to his own coin, her method of payment was odd. Perhaps this was the loonie's way of paying. Or some kind of arrangement. Whatever the case, it would seem Myron would meet his fanclub soon enough."So are we there yet?" He asks suddenly with a wide stupid grin on his face.

Leila quirked an eyebrow at the question. "We have not even set off yet as you should know or in your magical realm there are no large bodies of waters and no ships?" There was probably inaudible, genuine curiosity deep, deep down there, under sarcasm, because even if she didn't believe him in slightest, the girl had seen too many strange things to absolutely deny the possibility of Myron being of another world. And if it was true, she would indeed be curious about this other realm.
She turned around and walked to the end of ship, dusting off one of the boxes and taking a seat there, apparently deciding this was a good spot to watch the vessel departing and also for taking guard, if that was what the girl was doing. Shadows over the ship quivered as the spies settled in - well, where they weren't already, that is.
It took about half hour more for all the tasks to be finished, and then every sailor got on the ship, the plank was taken off and the ship shook slightly, as if it was having tremors. The mast and sail began glowing softly, then the light moved to different marks, lighting each in different color. And the ship began moving onward. It moved out of the cavern and strong wind hit her hood, throwing it off and blowing wisps in her face. Leila took a deep breath and shut her eyes for few seconds, then slowly let air out, gazing at the white foam trail left behind them.

"One, I believe. I"m not sure how big it is, but people sail for years to reach their destination." Myron followed obediently, but after five minutes of waiting he got bored and brought his steel ball from his strange portal again. Once again the Djala played with the data the orb revealed, going through different pages that popped up.
Only after the boat set sail did the Djala put the steel ball away, amazed by the view of the sea. In his life he had never been to the sea before, only to some lakes, but they did not have the same amazing view this body of water had. When he saw the foam they left behind he couldn't help but open his big yapper once more."That's not very subtle, is it?"

She seemed to pay no attention to the man, and looked nearly melancholic. But only nearly so. The empty look on her face was the default one, after all. After a short while, she pushed strands behind her ear and pulled the hood back up. The wind continued to howl and if someone had a wild imagination, it could feel like it had taken a will of his own and now circled the ship, working to be as much noticed as possible. Maybe it was a revenge for replacing his power in sails with magic?
When Myron inquired, she didn't look back at him, her eyes still locked to something invisible to anyone else in the distance. "It's because we are on the ship." Her hands itched to write, to describe this morning where these seemed to exist just few colors - the grey of sky, different shade of gray for sea, white for the foams and lines of sky-dome above their heads, brown of the ship and few accent colors in magic symbols. The strange man was locked out of this little world to describe, other than the mental note he had seemingly realized they were hiding, even though did not ask why or from who.
However, she had a question of her own, so, in a short while, she turned to face him. "So, considering you supposedly come from a far off dimension, how come you can just reach in it and take out items that you didn't land with? Or you're going to tell me there is inter-realm pocket that can be easily reached from any world?" There was a hint of sarcasm in her voice, but the idea was not completely dismissed.

Myron chuckled at her question."Well, you're not far off with your theory." He took a seat next to her and opened another portal. This one was big enough to fit one's head through."Go on, take a look. What you see is not Creation, but Elsewhere. It's a dimension of nothingness. Most of us Exalted races merely use it to store their dangerous goods in. But not many figured out how to truly take an advantage of it like I do." He grinned proudly.
If Leila were to look through, she'd see various tools, weapons, supplies and clothing float around aimlessly through what looked like an illuminated night's sky. There wasn't much else to take note of. She could breathe just fine, though she might take note of the amount of bombs that Myron had stored.
Meanwhile, back in the darkness from which Myron emerged, the same light was seen again. Though this time only two figures fell out. Once the portal closed, they simply stood there in the darkness."What do you sense?" An evil double voice asked."Progress." Answered the other voice, his rather dapper voice echoing through the room."Are you sure those Dragonblooded and Wyld Monks won't trouble us?" The double voiced man chuckled."Unless they track that mutt of a Lunar to fix the portal, we're in the green. Myron's secrets will soon be of the Dread Knight."
With that the odd duo set forth.

She quirked an eyebrow at him, in unsaid question among the lines 'do you really think I am stupid enough to stick anything in magical hole you could close at any moment and who knows what would happen to my body then?'. However, she did slightly turn her head more so that in case the hole it self revealed something, she would see it. If not, the girl did not feel a very big loss either.
"So, what exactly is keeping you here? You cannot go back to your world without some special items or performed rituals? Or you're just a kid running away from home where your mommy put you under home arrest?" Apparently, Leila had taken note of him saying he had wanted to be far away from wherever he was from. Most likely, the other end of USA. Realm connected magic was nothing foreign to the girl, but since hers was limited to just one, she was not sure there were one with people so similar living in it. It just all seemed too... convenient.
And his answers, excuses were a chance to get the truth out in the light. If this was test to figure how gullible or wise she was, the girl did not want to fail. But if there was some truth in it, at least her connection to it would be done in few days when Myron was embraced by the group of loonies she was employed by. Then again, by now Leila should have known that things hardly ever went as planned or hoped...

If Myron were to lie, Leila would definitely find out. Myron's a horrible liar and can't keep a straight face whenever he does. Still, the things he was telling were indeed hard to believe, but to be fair, Myron could hardly believe that in this realm people had floating machines that could travel at high speed and that no one seemed to worship the Unconquered Sun. Everything about Earth seemed to be so different, yet so similar. He didn't show it, but Myron had a hard time comprehending he's in a different place, and he has no idea how to get home.
"What's keeping me here? I've got no portal to go back. Sure, I can get into Elsewhere, but I can't get through Elsewhere to get to Creation. What I need is my blueprints! I'm not even sure if you have got the same materials we do back in Creation. For all I know I'm stuck here forever. That's why I need an audience with Him." He explained as he pointed up towards the sun."The Unconquered Sun is here as well. He must know a way to get back. I'm one of his most important agents. Surely He won't leave me here. Though I'm not going home empty handed. I want some fun first, and perhaps some blueprints on that steel floating thing you used to get us here." He grinned. Though this world was alien to him, that didn't mean he couldn't mess around in it a bit before talking to the Unconquered Sun.
Meanwhile the duo managed to get out of the cavern, and the sunlight revealed who they were; Abyssals.
The first creature wore a hooded red monk's robe, trimmed with golden fabric into curls and stripes. His rope belt has got a leather bag hanging on it. What was revealed of the man's face was pure bone. He was quite literally a walking skeleton, not even wearing gloves to cover that up."Hmm. The Unconquered Sun is here. Is this still Creation?" The skeleton asked in his standard double voice.
"Not quite sure, old friend. I can't resonate with any Primordeals. My guess is that this is some other dimension. We both know the Djala is capable of building rubbish like that. Couldn't he have gone to a warmer place?" Each time this Abyssal spoke, white smoke escaped his lips. He looked like a true Human though. And not an ugly one either. Except for the patches of blue riddling his skin, as if he has frozen to death at one point. He might as well have. He was extremely pale, though his long blonde hair has been combed extensively and his goattee trimmed only recently. Notable about him was his clothing. All he wore was wool; woolen trimmed leather cape, woolen coat covering his chainmail hauberk, thick mittens, woolen trimmed pants and thick boots. The wool was all white, and his clothing different shades of grey. On his head was a gentleman's hat with a long feather on top of earmuffs, making him look a bit silly."Obviously not." The skeleton replied."Now let's see where he went."
The tall frozen corpse grabbed a staff from underneath his cloak. The thing that made it macabre was the bloated, rotten wolf's head on top of the thing. The creature had its eyes gauged out, but its muzzle was wide open. Sown into the head were seven pairs of Human eyes, also decaying slowly."Pax Vamaz Myron Suphu." The frigid man spoke, and the eyes all stood erect, pointing down the way where Leila took Myron. The pair started walking, following wherever the eyes pointed.

"I don't really believe you can have an audience with giant gas ball and that there is actual, almighty representation of said gas ball, but I am not going to try and stop you." It looked like Leila did not believe in any god-like being existence, her expression nearly bored, but tone sarcastic. Honestly, this one would fall right in the loonie bin with the others. Then again, she mentally remarked that if she told her firm belief and opinion about the Shadows, everyone would stack her in the same pile. Still, she believed in soul, not gods who hadn't given a damn about Earth since the Wars, even if there was one or two, or whole bunch, like old myths suggested.
"Some crazy people still believe in the old Pantheon, maybe there is some Sun cult left to help you. Not that the 'almighty one' hasn't abandoned us for four or five millenniums, even if he existed, so if I am to give you suggestions, then this might as well be the only one: don't put your hope on anyone else, even 'god'."
Maybe she was about to say something else, but the girl sprang to her feet, tensing and looking around the ship, then towards coast. Eyes narrowed, then Leila shook her head slightly and sat back down. It had to be just a feeling that danger had appeared. They were too far from coast and even a whole ship mutiny would not be a big bother for her. Still, she tightened the Shadow security and mentally, remained alert, even though her expression became nonchalant again. Seemed like the chatting part was over.

Myron had listened to her and simply nodded."Well, I don't know if there's been Gods here over the course of history. In Creation we have Gods for everything. We even knew of a God of racist jokes. He mainly joked about Djala though, I 'convinced' him to stop." He grinned."I don't need a cult to have an audience with the Unconquered Sun. What I need is the permission to do so from a person who understands what I need. And currently that's you. You're the only one right now who can get me to Him." He explained, wondering if he should. For a smart guy like him, this wasn't his best move. Now she could force him into working for her permission.
"Ah so?" Leila softly murmured. She looked at him, the dark eyes nearly seeming to gleam under the hood. A bit more, and corner of her mouth would twitch in menacing amusement. Unwillingly, he had given her his weakness, the one thing she could control him with. Of course, apparently she had to keep him out of more personal contact with people (since, if this was understanding of his situation, it was rather easy to obtain, as the girl still didn't believe him - but if Myron did, that's what mattered), but that was not a real problem.
The young woman leaned closer to him, voice still melodic, except that metallic undertone, hinting at cruelty and coldness she possessed. "Well, if you do as I say without much questions and don't bother me with them in general, I just might be nice enough and give you that after I've handed you back to the cultists. Unless you're of some use to me then. But, honestly, I doubt that." With that, Leila leaned back and stood up, walking over to the railings. Could as well mean the conversation was over. For now.

Myron grinned. So this woman thought she could control him now, and insult his usefulness in the progress? She would be sorely disappointed. Myron didn't look like it, but he was smart, and whenever he's quiet, he observes. One can learn a great deal from observing. He observed Leila in particularly very closely.
"Whatever. I'm pretty sure one of the loonies would gladly give their savior, no, their messiah, the opportunity to allow me to speak to the Unconquered Sun, though you seem to forget something. You promised me an audience when we first met. You're breaking contract here." He grinned widely."I have no reason to stay with you. None at all. Someone in town would allow me to speak to Him. I could simply jump off the boat and swim away. We're not too far off shore anyway. I could just leave you here, knowing you failed in your task of delivering me. You wouldn't want that, would you?" The Djala stared her down from underneath his goggles.
You wouldn't want that, would you?" Leila let him finish his little rambling and then turned around, smirk now truly apparent on her face. Whatever the reason, it probably couldn't be anything good. If not the Devil, some demon she could surely be, with that malicious expression. "Hasty, aren't you?" she asked, more or less rhetorically. He seemed to have assumed she was thinking she was thinking of him less now, when she could have certain more control over him. In truth, nothing much had changed in her opinion about the man, she just expressed it slightly more. "But don't forget to look at the full picture."
"The loonies will want to keep you here for the prophecy, they will squeeze a promise out of you and most likely - make you work before the permission is granted as soon as they know what it does. Which I have no reason to keep secret." It could be a threat or just statement of fact, that was hard to tell. "Your other option - some outsider giving it - is practically impossible, since hardly anyone will accept and understand your situation. Islanders are crazy, but not that insane. And they are distrusting of outsiders, but you reek of one."
She came forward again, smirk slightly fading, but still tugging corners of her mouth upward. "And kid, don't try to play my own words back to me. I never said I will. I said 'we can', which is true." Her memory worked better than computer, recording everything she or others had said in the exact way. Always gifted with good memorizing skills, practicing and few particular 'aids' had made her memory perfect.
"Threatening to leave is pointless. I can just as well say you never arrived, in fact, it would be sweet to see their disappointed, long faces." The girl knew sailors and harbor people would hush easily, they feared her far more than the CEO, not to mention he could turn out to be 'the wrong one', no one had seen him arrive after all.
"Also, I wasn't told in what shape I should deliver you." She could, of course, explain she had lot of ways to keep him alive, but unable to move or speak - temporarily or permanently. And they would work even without revealing her powers, just a tad bit of chemicals and Myron would not be able to do more than gaze at her with hardly blinking eyes. If she was in good mood - without pain -, if in bad, suffering to various possible degrees. But revealing too much was never wise. He could now ask her or guess what physical force she was planning to against him, even in challenging or arrogant manner, but the man wouldn't know what was coming for him, until it hit.
"So, simply agreeing to keep your mouth shut and do what I say if I find the need to bother with you is really your easiest and best option right now." Most likely, no matter what 'trick cards' he had up his sleeves, she would calmly and rationally tear each and every one of them to pieces. Besides, what she wanted really wasn't that much, was it? If there would be no danger, she wouldn't even tell him to do anything at all (other than staying quiet). If there was danger... It would be for his own good.

Myron wasn't very impressed. This would just be like throwing a ball towards each other endlessly. Both parties had compelling arguments that they could throw into each other's faces."You know, I can gladly find out how they welcome me on my own without you needing to tell me otherwise." Myron was the newcomer. He knew nothing of this place. This was easily manipulable, he realized."Not to mention, I can easily say my powers only work once I'm with the Unconquered Sun. So in the end you've got nothing on me." He grinned."Besides, we both know you're too intelligent to travel this entire way to bring along 'the wrong person'. I'm pretty sure these loonies do too, or they wouldn't have needed you to await their hero."
Myron purposely did not mention her threat. Perhaps it was best if she underestimated him. She'd be unpleasantly surprised at the abuse this boy could handle. For the rest of the trip, Myron kept away from her, except for Borris, who seemed to run around the ship in boredom and would attempt to beg food from everyone there.
Meanwhile the pair of Abyssal were getting closer and closer to the town, the stitched eyes on the wolf's head pointed in the right direction. The skeleton had a giant tome in his bony hands that he summoned from a similar portal Myron summons so often."Must you always read that, ser Gnashing Bones?" the Skeleton didn't even look at his towering companion."Do you wish me to remain useful?" The frigid man grunted. In truth he was bored senseless, and with Gnashing Bones constantly reading he hadn't much to do but keep his mind on the macabre wolf head.
