Erbrow Seba (played by Sadrain) Topic Starter

Erbrow strolled casually as he listened to Myron, apparently used to the crowds, the noise and the air that seemed to be thick with premonition, as if something was about to happen, any moment now... And despite all these and other oddities, he did not fit in, just like Myron didn't, in some strange way. The pair turned some heads and path opened for them easily.

He seemed a bit lost in thought for a brief moment, pondering something about the said places probably, and then shrugged. "If not now, maybe eventually our path shall lead there," he smiled down to his young fellow. As the dragon spoke, they floated back to the hotel's platform now and the man used chance to ask something that held him still curious. "I do wonder, how did you come here, and when and how are your plans to return to homeland? Or you would choose to stay here, if given the chance? But it must be too soon for such thoughts, I take."

Leila, in the mean time, had gone trough some recent news both sides of the Veil and had grown even more restless. There were rumors about some bad event happening in the small harbor soon after they left and it made her suspicious - that feeling of haunting and now some disaster... Unfortunately, information was too unclear... Nervous fingers played with hem of her left sleeve as she leaned over papers on her table, dark wisps of nothing whirling around. Some questions had to be asked to that shifter - his interest was just too sudden, was it not?

The sailor was too tired (and scared) to say anything. His eyes had long since grown droopy, but this was a part asking for extra caution. The little boat could easily sink to its end, hitting one of the rocks that lay in the disturbed waters as if waiting for the perfect opportunity... And if he didn't notice one in next minute, that would also happen to them.
Myron pondered Erbrow's question. It was indeed early, but so far, to be honest, this realm could not beat the homeliness of Creation. Not by a far shot. Earth was just... weird. And that's saying something, coming from a guy with panda marks on his skin and a monkey on his shoulder.

"Well, I got here by accident. The Unconquered Sun has given me the life long task of finding Old World tech, as well as repairing it to its former glory. Each one of us Solars has got a specific task, and mine is repairing the past into the future." He explained. It was refreshing to be able to speak about his true self for a change without getting Immaculate Monks chasing you down."I've been working months on a portal hidden right underneath the Dragonblooded's noses, in their own mountain even. I had no idea what it was, so what else could I do but test it, right?"

"Normally I'd do it a bit more safe, believe it or not. Most of the Old World tech has the capability of blowing my head right up. But the Dragonblooded were on to me sooner than I thought. They stormed into my make-shift lab I built around the portal with their Immaculate Monks and their bullcrap about me being a demon and all that. I had no where to go! They had me cornered! So what else could I do but jump through the portal? It was my only chance for survival." By this point, he had been explaining with a lot of non-verbal motions.

"I'm not sure what happened to the portal now. They probably destroyed it or something. All my work for nothin'."

Oh, but it wasn't destroyed. Not at all.

Gnashing Bones looked at the water underneath them."Ser, I believe we can freeze the water around here. It's not too rough."

That sounded like music to Baron Coldfire's ears."Sailors! Gather 'round!" He cried out."Our journey ends here, and we do not forget loyalty. It should be rewarded! After all, you knew an opportunity when you saw it." His wide grin was rather unsettling, but he had no plans of deceiving the sailors. The cold corpse took a purse out of the hole his gut used to be, out of sight of everyone of course, and threw it at the captain's feet."You share it with the crew. I think this will be substantial, no?" He grinned. Inside were diamonds, gems, amber pieces and many Jades. Though the Jades wouldn't be worth much to them, the gems definitively would.

The Baron turned around for the nose of the ship and started taking deep breaths. It seemed as if he was covered/sweating liquid nitrogen, but after a while he blew a cold dust onto the sea, which in turn instantly froze. The Baron jumped off and walked the ice.

Gnashing Bones looked at the crew one last time before following his companion, his large tome being the last thing these men saw when he jumped off of the ship.
