"Hey, Doc. I have a question." One of the doctors from the asylum sighs and turns to the cell, not very happy he has to have a conversation with the patient. The girl grinned and said, "Am I totally insane?"
"Yes,Yes you are."
"Damn it."
It was day 31 in the Kanaday Asylum. The place was torn up and a miserable grey color, both inside and outside of the horrible place. Most Windows were broken or had black metal bars covering them from the patients wanting to see the beautiful, but cruel world there was. The name of the place seemed pretty peaceful, but the inside is gloomer than it sounds. You'll hear sounds of tranquilizers on patients, screaming from shock treatments, patients having fits and insane moments. But there was one patient who tried to ignore all of these noises and torture, and that...
Was Alexis Montichello.
She was in that place due to being an insane, infamous murderer around this town. As well as her depression causes her to try to commit suicide heavily every now and then without her noticing. Also, of course, her bipolar disorder taking a bad impact on people. When she went insane when she was pissed, it was deadly. Alexis would grab her weapon and slice you in a heartbeat, laughing as she watched you die. It was pretty horrifying. But, who could blame the 18 year old girl. When she was little, her parents heavily abused her like she was a burden to the family. Even smashing her head into the wall and hitting her right eye on a piece of wood sticking out when she was 4, making her blind in that eye and having an eyepatch. Her personality grew into her parent's because of her abuse and now, she was a murderer.
But, she actually had a good side, just covering it up with a tough act like most people do. When you get to know the girl, she's actually pretty sweet and kind, and helpful around others. Besides when she gets angry, then you get your ass to calm her down.
Alexis Montichello was lonely, and needed a friend to break her tough barrier. Will you help her, or bring her to another insane home?

We can discuss how we want this to go in a pm.^^ Basically this is just explaining who she is, and about the asylum. The actual roleplay, could be a couple of things.
A. Alexis breaks out of the asylum and Y/C sees her, and tries to get to know her, either getting freaked out or understanding her pain.
B. Y/C visits the asylum and sees Alexis, asking people who she is and then finally starting to talk to her. They get interested in her personality and sneak into the place every night to talk with the girl.
C. other,which can be explained in a pm if these ideas don't suit you.

Plausible legends of ancient magic, but current magic is not common.

More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.

Perhaps she escapes and in doing so gets herself hurt...I can see my character Adan Cordel first stepping in to help her injuries (he is a doctor and tries to genuinely help anyone who needs it) then getting to know her and at the very least attempting to help her there too...
