Abby looked boredly out the window as her parents drove down the old country road. They were moving. Again. They never stayed long in one town. Her fathers job always had them moving around. It's not like it bothered Abby. She never really made friends with anyone since she knew they would be moving soon anyway.
Abby sighed as she watched the thick woods pass by in a blur. They were moving into a very old victorian styled house deep in the woods. A good thirty minute drive from her new highschool. Lucky enough for her she was a senior in highschool and it was the middle of the second semester. So she wouldnt have to deal with moving all the time. But by the looks of it, it was a very small town and cloudy all the time. Hardly any sun showed through the trees that surrounded the town and from the moment they entered the town limits, something had felt off about it.
"Abby, dear. Why dont you smile? We will be staying here for a while so you can make some friends and finish out high school," her mother, Janice, said with an encouraging smile as she looked back at her daughter.
Abby let out a sigh and glanced at her mother then father. “Its not like we are staying forever. We always move just when I start becoming comfortable. There’s no point even me going to high school since I can never seem to finish in the first place…” she muttered and looked back out the window.
Janice let out a soft, frustrated sigh and turned back to look out the front window. “Honestly Abigail. Its not such a big deal. Besides your father has promised that this will be a permanent place this time,” she said exasperatedly.
Abby simply shrugged and watched the never ending trees as they passed by them. The rest of the day was filled with unpacking and organizing the little stuff Abby actually had. She had chosen the only room on the third floor since it was a whole floor of separation from her parents and she had a good view of the backyard and the woods beyond. Changing into her shorts and tank top, she slipped into her bed but didn’t get a second of sleep all night. Feeling as though something or someone was watching her.
Getting up early the next morning, she took a hot shower then grabbed a pair of clothes. A pair of black skinny jeans, blue body-hugging tank top, black and purple hoodie, and a pair of purple converse hightops. Then she applied black eyeliner and mascara as well as a pink colored lip gloss to match her pink lips. Grabbing her multi-colored backpack, she hooked it onto her shoulder and grabbed her car keys to her blue with black racing stripes mustang. Finally shoving her purple cased phone in her pocket before descending the two flights of stairs quickly. Her parents would already be at work so she didnt bother getting any breakfast.
Leaving the house, she got in her mustang and backed it up then turned it. It took a good five minutes just to get off their property and out of the old, vine covered iron gates. Pushing the gas pedal down further, she hit eighty as she drove down the empty country road. Slowing as she reached the town's inner limits, five minutes later pulling into the school's parking lot. Wolf High. Getting out of her car after parking on the farthest row from the school, she walked up to the school doors and stood there for a second. Here we go..

(ta-daa! I am here to fulfill your request!)
Roland watched the students wander the halls, mingling about before going to their classes. How did he get stuck with babysitting duty? It was because he didn't have class today, wasn't it? The History teacher sighed, waiting for the girl that had been described to him. He couldn't believe kids that were new to school got someone to take them around. When HE was in high school, he had to figure it all out on his own!
When he spotted Abby, he stood up from his leaning position on the wall and walked over to her. "Ms. Abby? I'm Roland Lyall, a history teacher here. I'm supposed to help you find your classes, locker, and the cafeteria today." He handed her a couple papers. "Here's a map of the school, and your list of classes. I'm only around for today, so better keep a hold of those or else tomorrow you'll have trouble."
He turned and started walking, gesturing to her. "You can see the class number on your schedule. The classrooms are separated by floors. First floor is 100s, second floor is 200s. So any class that has a room number of 200-something will be upstairs. Got it?" He glanced back at her to make sure she was paying attention.

Abby took the papers handed to her and folded them up, shoving them in her halfway opened bag. Barely paying attention to what Mr. Lyall was saying though. She wouldnt be staying very long so it wouldnt matter really. Sticking her I-pod ear buds in her ears, she followed him along and accidently ran into what felt like a wall. "Ow!" she said in more of surprise than actual pain. Looking up at him, she took her ear buds out as she realized he was looking at her.
"Um yea thanks," Abby said boredly. Though her eyes did roam over his body as she realized why it had hurt so much to run into him. He was well-muscled and handsome. His blonde hair just added to his handsomeness. Though she looked back into his eyes and realized he looked rather annoyed. "Oh. Im sorry. Did you actually want me to pay attention?" she asked using a smartass remark.

Roland barely even felt it when she bumped into him, but he looked at her disapprovingly. The smart-ass remark made him narrow his eyes. "Yes, I did. If you don't pay attention now, Ms. Abby, you're going to be off to a very bad start. I'd hate for that iPod of yours to be confiscated on your first day of school." He crossed his arms over his chest, the action causing the short-sleeved button-up shirt he was wearing to lift slightly and reveal a bit of ink on his right arm. Not many teachers had tattoos.
"Now, are you going to do this the easy way, or the hard way, Ms. Abby?" He paused for only a moment after his question, then he turned and started walking again. He sighed, irritated. Just what they needed, another punk that didn't want to make an effort towards their schoolwork.

Abby's eyes instantly darted to his arm as she saw the black ink of a tattoo. A small smirk playing on her lips as she got on his nerves. Then she quickly walked up to him and kept pace with him then reached up and tried to push his sleeve up to see his tattoo. "You have a tattoo? Thats awesome. What of?" she asked, actually sounding intrested.
Abby actually never really had to make an effort towards her school work. She had always been an all A's student and she had never really focused on her school work at all. Many colleges had been sending her requests since grade ten but she decided not to go to college right off the bat, much to her parents dissapproval.

Roland grabbed her by the wrist the moment she touched him, his grip a little tighter than he meant it. He released her almost instantly, pulling his sleeve down a bit. "None of your business, Ms. Abby. If I were you, I'd worry more about being late to class than what kind of tattoo a teacher has." He nudged her gently towards a nearby door. "There's your first class, so get in and give this note to the teacher. It's to tell him you're new. He'll find you a seat and help you get acquainted with the class." He glanced at his watch.
"I'll be waiting out here for you once class is out, to help you to your next classroom." He eyed her carefully. "At least try to pay attention, alright, Ms. Abby?"

Abby slightly winced from his strong grip and jerked her hand back as he let go. Frowning and rubbing her wrist, now in a worse mood than she had started out with this morning. "Fine. It was just a question. You dont gotta break my wrist," she muttered and snatched the note from his hand. "Oh great. I have to deal with you all day.." she muttered and hitched her backpack higher onto her shoulder as she walked to the classroom.
Abby paused at the door and didnt go in yet, glancing at her wrist. The wierdest thing about when he grabbed her wrist wasnt how hard he was gripping but the electric shock that came with it. It wasnt a bad one either, it had been a good shock that had stirred something up deep inside her. Taking a second to calm her racing heartbeat, she opened the door and walked into the room. Ignoring all the unfriendly looks she got from the students in the class. The teacher took her note as she gave it to him and he motioned to a seat in the back. Abby walked down the aisles, to the back of the class and plopped down in the seat with a sigh. She looked out the window at the thick, green forests surrounding the school. She didnt pay attention at all during class and was givin a packet of math homework that she shoved into her backpack along with the new textbook.

Roland waited in the teacher's lounge during her class, mentally chastising himself for losing control as he had. She wasn't joking, he really could have broken her wrist if he had just an ounce less of self-control. He shook his head and took in a deep breath, letting it out. He was a teacher, he had to get used to being touched. After relaxing in the lounge for a while and getting his cool back, he checked the time and got to his feet. Class would be out soon, so he'd better go wait by the door for her.
Thus, when she left the classroom, he was standing there waiting for her. "How did your first class go?" he asked, gesturing for her to follow him as he started walking. "Your locker's right here. One of the papers I gave you has your combination. So you can put your things in your locker from that class, so you don't have to lug everything around the whole day." He watched the other students passing, making sure they were behaving. "By the way.." He leaned over her and poked a finger against a spot on her schedule. "You're in my class. But you're lucky, because we don't have class today. There's some repairs going on in the room, so we're not having class for today."

Abby shrugged and followed him to her locker. "It was boring and annoying," she replied. Once they were at her locker, she whirled the dial back in forth putting in the combination then she just threw in her textbook and shut the door. Looking at the class he pointed at, she realized she would have him last and sighed softly. "So can i just go home today then if i dont have your class?" she asked and glanced at him before looking away again.
Abby wouldve liked to just go home right now. School was only two months long and then she would be completely free of her parents. That was a huge relief to her.

Something in her voice made Roland look at her carefully for a long moment. She really, really did want to go home. He sighed slightly. "No, you can't. You still have other classes before that, Abby. But it's just a couple, so it's no big deal. Come on." He started walking again, glancing over his shoulder to make sure she was following. "Why was class boring? You have a pretty good teacher." He wondered why she hated school so much. It wasn't abnormal, but yet she didn't seem as punk about it as it...almost seemed to sadden her, that she had to be here. He shook his head and just showed her to her next class.
Abby looked at him like he was retarded or something. "Mr. Lyall. It's math. No one likes math except..wierdos," she replied and followed him. She didnt like school because people looked at her like she was a freak. Which i guess she was if she always wore dark clothes and was a silent type. People made fun of her behind her back and she had been beaten up several times before. So she just learned to hate school and the people in it. Teachers were no help either and so she just learned not to trust adults either.
Abby looked at her next classroom and sighed before she walked in. "See ya," she said to Roland as she went into her next class. The next class was just as boring the last and she was quick to leave before anyone else. Right before she made it out the door, one of the football players snickered and stuck his foot out. Abby didnt see it and she was sent falling face down into the hallway and her papers went flying. Balling her hands into fists, she got up and threw her backpack down, whirling around to come face and chest with the guy who tripped her. Without hesitation, she punched him hard in the nose and he was sent stumbling back. "You bitch!!!" he yelled and held his bleeding nose. With a more animalistic growl then human, he leapt at her and tackled her to the ground. People crowded around and yelled "fight! fight! fight!"

Roland chuckled softly. "No one likes it, but we used it all the time, Ms. Abby. It's important. Just go to class, hm?" He waved at her, then went back to the lounge. When her class was over, he was waiting for her again. He was there just in time to witness the beginning of a fight. He rushed in, yanking the jock off of Abby with just a grip on his shirt. "ENOUGH!" The whole area went quiet. He held a hand out to Abby to help her up, and once both were on their feet, he looked between her and the jock firmly.
"What happened? I don't want any lies, either." His eyes narrowed at the football player, then at Abby.
"What happened? I don't want any lies, either." His eyes narrowed at the football player, then at Abby.
Abby was going to have a black eye tommorow and her lower lip was busted and bleeding. She glared at the jock and still had her hands balled into fists. "She punched me for now reason!" the jock growled, holding his sore and bleeding nose. Abby narrowed her eyes at him then looked at Roland. "He tripped me for no reason when i was walking out the door!" she defended herself. The jock sneered at her and Abby started to go for him again with a fist.
Roland put a hand out, stopping Abby. He looked firmly at the jock, then took hold of his collar. "You. Me. Office. Now." He looked at Abby, his voice getting a bit gentler than before, but not much. "And you, to the principle's office. Even if he started it, fighting is off-limits and you know that." He looked to one of the girls nearby. "Jenny, take her to the principle's office, make sure she gets there." The girl nodded and led Abby off while Roland dragged the Jock to his own office.
Once in his office, he tossed the young boy into the chair and glared. "What the hell do you think you're doing?! Getting into fights?! I won't have you risking our entire clan! You will NOT do it again. Leave the new girl alone and get control of your emotions. Or else."

Abby muttered under her breath as she grabbed her backpack and tossed it onto her shoulder. Following Jenny, she shoved her now bloody knuckles into her pocket and walked into the priciple's office in a foul mood. "Take a seat Ms. Shighto," the principle said still sitting at his desk. Abby took a seat and looked at the principle who was fairly handsome for a man his age. Though Abby wouldnt go for him.
It was only a couple minutes before Roland was at the principle's office. "Hello, sir. It was Jack again." He stood by Abby. "I'll keep her after school tomorrow as punishment for starting a fight, sound good?" He smiled at the principle, putting a hand on Abby's shoulder gently. "Now, if that's all taken care of, sir, I'd like to get Ms. Abby to the nurse's office to get patched up."
Abby looked up at Roland in pure shock and anger. "What?! It was only my first fight! Thats not fair!" she exclaimed, jumping up out of her chair and glaring at Roland. The priciple looked at Abby sternly and motioned for her to sit back down but Abby didnt listen to him. "Ms. Shighto. I think it is a very suitable punishment. You are old enough to know better," the princicple scolded. Abby muttered something under her breath about it being a stupid school and crossed her arms over her chest, blood being smeared on her arm as her bloody knuckles lightly ran agianst it. "Mr. Lyall, you may go ahead and take her to the nurse's office," the principle dismissed with a wave of his hand.
Roland lifted a brow at her objections. "Thank you, sir." He took Abby by the arm and gently helped her out of her seat, taking her to the nurse. The nurse fixed her up while he stood there, watching over her. "You know, the normal punishment for a fight is a couple day's suspension, Ms. Abby. Staying after school to help me out a little bit for one day is letting you off really easy."
He sighed. "Why did you even start a fight? He tripped you, so what? Just go tell a teacher. You don't need to throw punches." (Sorry, fire drill made me leave the building. >.<)

Abby only winced slightly as the nurse patched her up as most places were sore. That jock had been rather heavy, but it had been all muscle as she had soon found out which would explain her bloody knuckles. "So? I dont want to have to help you with your stupid teacher stuff...." she muttered.
(sorry keep forgetting enter is the send lol) "Teachers never care thats why," Abby replied snappishly and was glad to get out of the nurses office as the nurse finsihed up. Sliding off the chair, she walked out of the door in a hurry. Not liking the chemical smell but not willing to tell peopel why either.
