Roland paused, then nodded. "Alright. I'll stay." He smiled softly at her. "It's alright, Abby. I just...I have my own demons I have to deal with, you know? That's one of them. It's hard for me to talk about that topic."
He walked off, getting her soup and fetching a movie. He came back and gave the soup to her, then put the movie in and sat down beside her. "...it doesn't scare you, sitting beside a werewolf?" he asked quietly.

Abby nodde in understanding and waited for Roland to get back, crawling under her covers. Leaning against the headboard comfortably, she thanked him and took the soup. Slowly eating on it, she smiled and set it down on the bedside table. "Well i had to get over the intial shock but actually no it doesnt..i mean..i trust you not to hurt me.." she explained quietly. Giving Roland a gentle smile as she looked up at him.
Roland smiled gently at her. "I won't hurt you. You know that. I've tried so hard to keep you safe, you know?" He chuckled softly. "I'm going to do everything I can to keep you safe, Abby. I promise." He leaned back and watched the movie with her, trying to relax.
Abby smiled and sat criss cross, watching the movie then got curious. "Hey Roland? Could i see your wolf side some time?" she asked as she still kept her eyes on the movie. Picking up her bowl and continuing to eat as she watched the movie with him. She was completely relaxed around Roland and was actually feeling much better with him around.
Roland hesitated, then glanced at her. "Um...you kind of already have." He flinched, just slightly, expecting an outburst from her. "I'm the wolf you saw at the park. When you first moved in, and you just suddenly left. I got worried, I went looking for you. That's the best way for me to track someone, so..."
He sighed. "You weren't supposed to spot me. And I can't BELIEVE you followed me, either!" He let out a frustrated sigh this time, but then glanced at her. "...okay. I'll show you it sometime."

Abby wasnt mad, she just laughed softly and looked at him. "That was you huh? Well no duh i followed you in. What can i say? Im a curious and stubborn girl," she said with a grin. "But you should already know that," she added as she looked back at the screen.
Giving him a quick hug as he said she could see sometime. "And to be fair i only caught a glimpse of you," Abby said as she hugged him then pulled away and gave him a grin.

Roland chuckled a bit, relieved she wasn't angry at him. "I do know that. It's frustrating, you know." He blinked as she hugged him, then smiled softly, hugging her back gently. "Yeah, I guess that's true." He let go of her and smiled.
"I'm glad you seem to be at least feeling better emotionally, Abby. I was worried about you. When you just lock yourself up in your room like that...well, it's concerning."

Abby gave a sheepish and apologetic smile. "Sorry. Its kind of a habit. My parents are the greatest so im always locking myself in my room," she explained. Pulling her knees to her chest, laying her arms on her knees, then she put her chin on her arms so it was more comfortable sitting up.
Then she glanced at Roland. "You dont have to worry about me so much you know," she said quietly.

Roland looked at her carefully, not liking when she spoke of her parents. When she said he didn't need to worry about her, he sighed. "That's the problem, Abby. I do. It just kind of comes naturally. It's not like I can stop it, or change it. So...I will worry about you. But that's just because I care, okay? So don't let it bother you, that I worry. I don't mind worrying."

Abby could feel him looking at her whenever she talked about her parents. She really had to stop talking about them or he would probably get curious what they do exactly. That was the last thing she wanted. Then she smile and rolled her eyes as he said that. "Well thank you for caring. Its nice to know," she said with a smile.
Abby passed out halfway through the movie, her head coming to a rest on Roland's shoulder unintentionally.
Abby passed out halfway through the movie, her head coming to a rest on Roland's shoulder unintentionally.
Roland was indeed getting very close to asking. However, since he was trying to get her to rest, and they were watching a movie, the asking had to be done at another time. When her head fell against his shoulder, he simply smiled softly and let her sleep. She needed her sleep to feel better. He just hoped that would work.
Abby was asleep for a good two hours before she jumped awake. Quickly sitting up and taking in her surroundings, she was breathing quickly and looked to be terrified of something. Once she realized she was back in the room however, she slowly calmed down and let out a sigh. Leaning against the headboard as she started coughing. The coughing died away and Abby lightly closed her eyes taking deep calming breaths. She had a nightmare but it had felt all too real.
Roland was startled as she suddenly woke up. He'd been awake, just relaxing, when she sat up so quickly. "Abby! Abby, it's okay." He put his arms around her and held her gently. "It's okay. It was just a dream. It was just a dream, you don't have to worry about it." He smiled softly and pet her head. "It's okay...you're okay. You're safe. I'm here, you're safe." He held her close, gentle and careful.
Abby relaxed into Roland and put her head on his chest, calming down slowly in his hold. Shaking her head slowly as she said she was safe. "Not yet..." she whispered to herself and squeezed her eyes shut.
Abby still stayed in Roland's hold even after she calmed down. "Roland..when my parents come back at the end of the week..i cant still be here..i know i have to stay but i cant when my parents coem back.." she murmured to him.

Roland frowned. "Abby...What's the deal with your parents?" He looked at her carefully, pulling back a little bit so he could do so. "Why do they just leave you like that? That's not really a 'parent' thing to do." He didn't look away from her. "Tell me what's going on with them and you, Abby. I want to know."
Abby looked away from Roland and bit her lower lip gently thinking if she should really tell him. Then she decided she should and had to think of where to start. "Um..my parents..they perfer their job and their relationship over me. I-I was a mistake to say the least..M-my parents..sometimes..get a little rough..with my punishments..T-They use whatever they can..get their hands on...um..I-I think people..would call it..abuse..I-Im not sure..." she whispered and bit her lip. Looking away from Roland, she was frowning and pulled away from Roland.
Roland stared at her for a few long moments, then he gave a shout. "MARIA!" He got to his feet right away, running a hand through his hair. Maria was there in moments. "What is--" He interrupted her. "Watch her. I have to go. Now." He pushed past his sister and ran out of the house. Maria sighed. "Oh goodness...what was that about?" She looked at Abby. "What in the world did you say to him? Whatever it was got him angry enough to need to change." She sat down on the edge of the bed. "Is everything okay, Abby? Did someone do something to you?"
She looked over her shoulder, at the door. "Don't worry about him. He just needs to let off steam. Once he's calmed down, he'll come back." She got up and went to pull the drapes down over the window. "Though I doubt he's controlled enough right not to take off his clothes, so we probably shouldn't look out the window any time soon." She giggled lightly.

Abby then flinched at his shout then watched as he practically leaped up. "H-he asked about me and my parents.." she said quietly and looked at the bed. Then she blushed lightly and couldnt help but smile as well as giggle softly when Maria talked about them not watching. Maria always knew how to lighten up the mood. Abby leaned back on the headboard and ran her fingers through her hair. Coughing several times before she sighed. "Maria can i have some cough medicine?" she asked, looking to Maria.
Maria smiled softly at Abby. "Of course, honey." She went off and fetched the medicine, coming back soon. "Your parents, hm? Are they not nice to you?" She sighed. "That would probably set him off, yep. I think what he gets angry about the easiest is something that he can't change. Something that's already happened." She glanced at the closed, covered window. "He wants to right all the wrongs in the world. At least when it comes to you, it seems. He's really touchy about you, Abby. He hasn't transformed in a while, not out of anger. It must have really made him unhappy to hear your parents aren't being nice to you like they should be."
Maria didn't know the extent of her parents' lack of niceness, but she knew whatever was going on was enough to upset her brother like that.

Abby smiled gently and took the medicine quickly. "My parents...are abusive..i think.." she explained to Maria. Blushing slightly when she heard how touchy and protective he was about her. Then her thoughts got a little foggy as she started to get sleepy. "Maria? Is having scars from something my parents did considered abusive?" she asked quietly and sounded a bit sleepy. She trusted Maria enough to confide in her about the scars on her back. Quietly she explained how she got them. She had went out and got drunk at a party and had to call her dad to come pick her up. Her father had taken her home, yelled at her, then grabbed a fire poker. She didnt tell Maria the details just a quick summary.
