Roland smiled at her after a few moments, his eyes turning to her. "You really do look pretty today, Abby. I know it's not exactly your kind of thing, but it looks really nice on you." He sat up, reaching over to play with one of her curls again. "You always try to be so tough. I think it's good showing your more...gentle, side. Y'know?"
Abby blushed lightly as he called her pretty and she gave him a gentle smile as he started playing with one of her curls again. Looking at his eyes, her eyes looked much more gentle and open now. "Thank you Roland. You dont look so bad yourself," she teased lightly and smiled. Then sighed and looked away as he mentioned her being tough. "In the past i had to be. But after you said i could stay and wouldnt have to worry about my father any longer, it felt like everything that i had been dealing with just disappeared. I feel great and happy now," she said quietly and looked back at Roland with a soft smile letting him play with her curls wanting to lean into it but deciding it might not be a good choice just yet.
Roland smiled softly at her, listening to her speak. "I'm glad, Abby. Because that's what I want for you. I want you to feel great and happy. No one's going to hurt you. I promise." He pulled his hand away and sighed. "I think I should have changed after all...this shirt is too warm for this weather. In a nice, air-conditioned schoolroom it really wasn't this bad." He groaned and finished unbuttoning his shirt completely so that he could take it off and toss it to the side. He was wearing a white, form-fitting wife-beater underneath his shirt, a piece of clothing that really did nothing to hide his muscles, or the scars he had.
Abby blushed as she watched him take off his shirt and she checked out his muscles and even the scars looked good on him. She averted her eyes as soon as she realized she had been staring. Hoping he hadnt seen her, she got up and sighed walking away a few feet so she could cool down. If he kept this up she would wind up making the mistake of blurting out everything she felt for him. It would be pushing it and he would scold her then walk away. They would have to go back to square one again. "Why are men so difficult?.." she whispered to herself as looked up at the sky.
Roland blinked when Abby got up and walked a few steps away. "Abby? Are you okay?" He got up and walked over to her, concerned for her. He looked down at himself, thinking that it was just his scars that upset her. "I can put the shirt back on if you want. I didn't mean to upset you." He touched her shoulder gently.
Abby smiled and laughed softly. "Im fine Roland. Just needed a moment. You didnt upset me. You could never upset me.." she whispered the last part to herself not expecting him to hear. Then she turned to him and smiled, taking his hand off her shoulder and not noticing that she hadnt let go.
Roland had rather good hearing, so he heard the whispered part. He pulled his hand away gently. "You know that's not true, Abby. Of course I can upset you." He stepped away, walking back to the blanket and sitting down on it with a sigh.
Abby felt herself frown as he pulled his hand away and stepped away, blushing when she noticed her heard her. Walking over to the blanket, she sat down in front of him and put her finger under his chin. Lifting his head up to look at her. "You can worry me by doing stupid things. You can make me feel annoyed whenever you refuse to allow me to do things. You can make my heartrace by your touch. You can make me melt by some of the things you say. You can make me jealous by flirting or being intrested in a girl. You can make me laugh because your funny. And you can make me feel happy and safe whenever you protect me and hold me. But you cant make me upset by the things you do or say," she whispered to him. But she knew he would argue so she pulled her finger away from his chin and started to stand up.
Roland listened to her, noticing the things she said. Making her heart race, making her jealous. He wasn't sure whether his heart dropped or lifted. Or maybe even both. He reached up and took her hand as she started to stand up, his head bowed to hide his face from her.
"You don't know, Abby. You don't know me. Remember when Colt nearly broke your wrist? Remember when I almost broke your wrist? I can't let that happen to you. I can't. And it will. It will if I'm not very careful."

Abby settled back down and didnt stand. She again lifted his chin so he would look at her. "Colt did it on purpose. That doesnt count. You didnt know me let alone do it on purpose. I cant promise you it wont happen but...i am more than willing to try. But I would never push it with you. It doesnt matter what or who makes you happy. I just want to see you happy again.." she whispered and kissed his forehead softly before she pulled away. Taking off her shoes, she put them on the blanket then stepped into the grass. Thinking he needed sometime to think. "Im going to go for a walk.." she whispered before starting to walk away in the grass but none too fast wanting to enjoy the gentle breeze and sunlight.
Roland did indeed need time to think. He hid his face in his hands, trying to deal with the turmoil that swirled around inside him. He let her go on that walk, hoping she wouldn't go too far. But he did need time. Time to try to figure out just what he was going to do now. Her feelings were obvious. But how he responded to them was the big issue. (hopping off for a bit, I'll post later )
Abby didnt go too far, she walked across the open field and stopped at the edge of the woods. Looking up at the looming oak and pine trees, she smiled as she reached up and grabbed hold of the lowest branch. Climbing surprisingly made her feel better and she wasnt afraid of falling since she never had before. Glancing back, she made sure he wasnt looking before she quickly climbed up and dissappeared into the trees tangle of branches. Climbing up to the highest point she could, she sat down and leaned against the trunk of the tree. Closing her eyes as a little stronger breeze blew across her skin and the leaves rustled. The birds sang and the sun shined down. It truly was a perfect day. (okie dokie )
When Roland looked up and found her missing, he nearly had a heart-attack. He scrambled to his feet and looked around. Oh no. Oh no. What if it had all been a mistake? What if she really was going to tell people, and she'd just lured them into a false sense of security. "Abby?" he called, sniffing the air a little to try and get her scent. "Abby!" This was bad. She was supposed to stay with them at all times because of the other alpha. If the other alpha found out she'd snuck off... It wouldn't go well.
"Ab--" His last call was interrupted. "Lose something, alpha?" It was one of the girls from the Moone pack. Roland turned and frowned, immediately assuming his 'alpha' identity. "No. What are you doing here?" He crossed his arms over his chest. The woman smirked. "I'm keeping an eye on the human for my leader. He won't be happy to know she ran off while you weren't paying attention." Roland growled lowly. "I know where she is." The woman grinned. "Then where is she? Show me her, Roland." The use of his name nearly had his hand flying at her in rebuke, but he managed to hold back. "She's taking a walk. I told her she could."
"Tsk tsk, you know you need to be with her for those things. What if she ran off, hm? I think this is some information I need to report." Before he could reach out and stop her, she turned and ran off. Roland cursed under his breath, waited until the other werewolf was gone, then yelled. "ABBY!!" She better show her face now. Otherwise they were BOTH screwed.

Abby had started climbing down the first time he called her name and now she was scrambling down as fast as she could when she caught the sight of two people she had seen in the Moone pack's group. "Damn it.." she muttered as she slipped and almost fell. Taking a moment to calm herself, she went back into motion when Roland yelled her name. "Im getting there! Chill out unless you want me to break my neck!
Roland zeroed in on where her voice was coming from and he saw the rustling of leaves, quickly sprinting over to her. "What the hell do you think you're doing?! Didn't I tell you just the other day NOT to go climbing any trees?! You were supposed to be on a WALK, Abby! I look up and find you GONE! Why didn't you tell me?!" He ran a hand through his hair and took a few deep breaths, looking away. "One of the girls from the Moone pack saw me looking for you. She's going to tell her alpha right now. This is bad." He took in a couple breaths. "There's only one way to keep you safe now...I had hoped it wouldn't come to this."
He took her hand, a lot gentler than she thought he might, and started walking back to their picnic area. Now that he'd found her, he was calming down a bit. "Don't do that ever again. I was scared to death." He started packing up their picnic. "We have to cut it short, sorry. We need to get back to the house fast so that we can meet the other pack when they get there." He looked at her. "Maria has the car. Are you okay with walking? It's not too far, but if you want I could change in the woods and you could ride my back there. It'd be faster."

Abby winced as he yelled at her and she looked down at her the ground as she got down. "Sorry.." she mummbled. Following him as he pulled her towards the blanket, she stood there silently. She nodded when he started saying what they had to do. Then she helped him quietly put things up. "If its faster then we might have to do that," she said quietly. Picking up the things she packed, she waited for him to go in the woods and change then come back out.
Roland went in to transform, then came back out with his clothes carefully in his mouth. He dropped his clothes into her hands, then crouched down so she could get on. He waited until she had a good grip, then he started off. He started with a trot, then got a bit faster, then faster, running through the forest. It didn't take them long to reach his house, where he let her off and then transformed back into human in the bushes and got dressed in his clothes again. But this time, he just dressed in his pants and came out shirtless. There was already a group of werewolves forming, all of them in human form.
"Where is the Alpha of the Moone pack?" Roland questioned the nearest werewolf. He had his hand in Abby's, to keep her close to him, and safe. (I'll be getting on chat soon )

Abby put her head on his back as he ran, keeping the wind out of her face. Once they arrived, she stood quietly and waited for him to come back sticking close to him when he did. She gripped his hand a little tighter and looked around at the Moone pack members nervously.
The Moone pack alpha stepped forward. "I am here. The human disobeyed our simple rule. All she had to do was stay with you or your sister or inside the ground of your house. You are lucky i am in a meciful mood and i will ask for an explanation before i give my judgement," he said, narrowing his eyes at Abby. Who averted her eyes and looked at the ground. (awesome! )

Roland put his arm around Abby. "I allowed her to go for a walk. She climbed a tree without telling me, so when I looked up, she had vanished. I understand that it was my duty to have stayed by her. But that duty can be screwed." Everyone went dead silent, staring at him in shock. Roland pulled Abby gently against her. "You have no jurisdiction over her anymore, because I am officially claiming Abigail as my mate." Gasps went up everywhere. A HUMAN being the ALPHA'S mate? "So, I respectfully say that you can save your judgement." What...was...happening??
