Abby's jaw literally dropped and she snapped her eyes up to looke at Roland. Quickly closing her mouth, her eyes were still wide in shock. Did he just...claim her as his...MATE?! Abby didnt protest but she also had mixed feelings over this. Confusion, excitement and one she couldnt identify.
The alpha the the Moone pack, looked at Roland in shock and it took him a moment to compose himself. Then he gathered his pack together. "We are leaving then. I hope you make sure to Mark her. If you dont know what that is then look it up in Anna Marie's journal. It hasnt been used since her. I'll return in a weeks time to make sure you have. If you havent then i will pass my judgement." the alpha said before they all left in a flash.
Abby was silent and still looking at Roland in shock. "I-Im sorry..what did you just say?" she croaked out quietly.

Roland looked at her, then gently took her inside. "Nothing's going to change, Abby. It's just in name only. It's the only way I could save you and garuntee your freedom." He left her to go up and get the journal, flipping through it to find information on Marking. He knew how to Mark another werewolf, it was just a bite that left a mark, to prove she was his. But he didn't know how it went for humans.
Maria walked over to her. "Abby, just take a deep breath. It's alright. Don't worry about it. Roland wants to make sure that you're safe and sound, okay?"
Maria walked over to her. "Abby, just take a deep breath. It's alright. Don't worry about it. Roland wants to make sure that you're safe and sound, okay?"
Anna Marie described her her marking went and it was almost the same thing except for a human if it wasnt done if the exact right spot it could kill them. The alpha that marked her knew exactly where to bite. She described it as being the middle of the the back of her neck. The alpha had made sure to not bite down too hard or too shallow. His teeth had went in half way and not even a slight bit further. After words once he removed his teeth, it bled little and the bite marks healed over almost instantly. A few days after the bite, a full black moon was in place of the scars. The was the Mark. Each Mark was different according to the personality type who gave it. The Mark for a human was painful to recieve but the pain would fade after an hour or so.
Abby leaned against the wall and put her head back against the wall. "But he has to Mark me...the way Anna Marie described it..it would be painful since im human and i would officially be his.." she whispered looking up at the ceiling.

Roland growled under his breath, staying in his room and reading the journal. Maria sighed softly and put her hand on Abby's shoulder. "It'll be painful, but it won't be too bad, honey. And...isn't that what you wanted? You have feelings for him, right? And I don't think Roland would do this if he didn't secretly have feelings for you." She smiled softly. "It's okay. We'll be with you through it all. And you'll be able to go back to school, and go wherever you want to."
Roland came out of the room and leaned against the doorway. "I'm sorry, Abby." It was all he said. He looked away after that and walked past the two girls and outside. Maria sighed. "Oh...poor boy...He's probably thinking he just signed your death warrant."

Abby nodded and looked at Maria. "Dont get me wrong. Im not saying i dont want it. Im saying it was..a shock to recieve when he said it.." she said quietly. Turning to look at Roland as he came out of the room. Abby was still for a moment before she went outside as well looking for Roland.
Maria nodded. "I know. It's not exactly how a girl wants to be...well, asked out, and stuff. But he probably didn't have time to ask you beforehand. He just knew he had to save you." She pet Abby's head gently. "I'm sorry. But maybe...maybe you two should talk about it? Talk it through together. You know?"
Abby nodded then got off the wall. "I need to talk to him about this.." she said quietly then went into her room. Changing into shorts and a tank top, taking off all the jewelery too. Then she left her room and went outside in the front where she saw Roland leave. Pausing outside to look fro Roland so she could talk to him. She had already braced herself for this and she wasnt afraid. But she knew she had to talk to Roland about it from his past experience.
Roland was sitting on a tree stump a little ways from the house, looking at a small growing tree. He still had just his pants on, not bothering to change at all. He just sat there, lost in his own thoughts. The journal was held in his hands. He wasn't so sure he could do this anymore. The risk was too great. He wasn't so sure the good balanced out the bad.
Abby walked over silently then knelt in front of him once she got there, trying to get him to look at her. "I know what you read. I had almost finished the journal when you took it," she said quietly. Then she put her hands on his gently holding them. "Roland..i trust you..i know you can do it." Abby murmured and lightly ran her thumbs over his skin.
Roland held her hands gently and looked at her. "Abby...what if I can't?" He sighed. "I...I don't know if it's worth that risk. And you probably don't even want this. I mean, who wants to be locked to one person like that?" He pulled his hands away and rubbed his face. He felt so miserable. "I just...don't know what to do anymore. I thought it was a good idea...but it looks like I was wrong."
Abby groaned and realized there was probably only one way, maybe, to get through to him. Putting her hands on his cheeks, she stood up a little and crashed her lips onto his except it was a gentle but burning kiss that held, love, passion, and care in it. Then she pulled away but kept her lips brushing his. "Roland. I trust you to do this. If that kiss didnt tell you how i felt..then i cant think of anyway else to get it through to you.." she whispered as she brushed her thumb along his cheek before starting to pull away and leave.
Roland blinked in surprise when suddenly they were kissing. He closed his eyes and leaned into the kiss, smiling softly. when she started to pull away and leave, he pulled her back in and kissed her again. This shouldn't be happening. But it was, and he was in a 'screw the rules' kind of mood. He smiled, finally letting her go. "...okay. I guess you convinced me." He chuckled a bit.
Abby gasped when he pulled her back and then they were kissing again. Smiling as her eyes fluttered closed and she put her arms around his neck loosely. Whne he let her go, she pulled away a little but not much. Smiling as he said she convinced him. "Good. I know you dont want to do this..But i trust you with it Roland.." she whispered. "Can we get it over with?" she added in a quiet voice and looked at the grass as she asked.
Roland took a moment to breathe, then nodded. "Alright. I guess so." He got up and took her hand, going inside. "Maria, can you get things ready?" He went to his room, having her sit down on one of the chairs. "Just...hang in there. It's gonna hurt for the first hour or so, but then it'll be okay. Just try to hang in there, alright? I'll be here the entire time..."
Abby followed her inside and to his room where she sat in a chair. Offering him a calm, reassuring smile as he tried to reassure her, she took his hand and held it for moment before letting go. Letting out a slow, deep breath, she looked at the carpet. "I trust you with this.." she told him once more to reassure him that he could do it. She forced herself to relax as she readied herself for it.
Roland grimaced at his sister as she went about helping prepare everything. "That makes one of us.." he muttered under his breath. He read through the journal section about five more times before he had her sit on the bed instead, and then he knelt down behind her. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her gently against him. "It's going to be okay." he whispered. Taking in a deep breath, he opened his mouth, and bit down on the middle of the back of her neck. He was extremely careful and precise in where he bit and how far his teeth went in. He followed the instructions to the absolute best of his ability, pulling away and praying that she wasn't going to die.
Abby sat on the bed as he moved her and she put her hands on the bed covers letting out a slow breath as she did. Nodding as he whispered it was going to be okay, then she went completely still so she would cause him to mess up. Tears brimmed her eays as his teeth just barely started to poke through her skin then as his teeth continued deeper a small cry of pain escaped her and she gripped the covers hard enough to turn her knuckles white. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she choked back another cry of pain as he pulled his teeth out. She didnt want to worry him but muffled sobs escaped her as she tried to hold them back. It felt like fire was engulfing that one area on her neck and tried to scratch it as the pain got worse. Little blood came out of the bite marks and like Anna Marie had said, they started healing over right away.
Anna Marie had also cautioned that under no circumstance was she allowed to touch the area of the bite or it would surely mess up the process. In her journal she said that the alpha had held her tight as she squirmed to get to it in order to stop the pain there.
Abby wasnt as hard to deal with as Anna Marie had been. She just gripped the covers hard and her body trembled under the pain as she leaned back into Roland. Tears still streaming down her cheeks and muffled sobs escaping her as she hid her face from view with her hair. Pain was written all over it and she didnt want Roland to see it.

Roland simply held onto her. He held her to keep her from touching the bite, but he also held her to be her comfort. Maria stared in shock as she watched the two. Why? Because Roland started crying as well. Maria had not seen Roland cry ever since Crystal's death. This was a shock to her. But Roland was absolutely torn at the fact that he had caused Abby pain. At the fact that he had hurt her, like he had promised never to hurt her. He just held her close, not a single word being said but silent tears streaming down his cheeks. He stayed like this the entire time she was in pain.
Towards the last few minutes, the pains intensity rose through Abby's pain tolerance she started squirming hard. A cry of pain leaving her lips as she squirmed now trying to get at the bite. After several minutes of squirming and whimpering at the pain, she stopped and the whimpers died away. Left panting and sweating as she weakly relaxed into Roland and put her hand lightly on his arm. The pain had subsided and she was left feeling drained of her strength and exhausted. "Roland...its over.." she whispered and finally looked up at him. Weakness and exhaustion in her eyes as she looked up at him.
Roland had to tighten his grip upon her, but she really was no match for him as she tried to get at the bite. When it all died down and she whispered to him, he simply hid his face from her. "No..." he murmured. "This is just the beginning.." The end of her pain from the bite was done. But that led into a whole new mess. Roland was still convinced he was going to kill her some day, just like he killed Crystal. He let Abby go and gestured for Maria to help her, then he got up and left. Maria helped Abby take a bath, then helped her get into her pajamas and get into bed. "Just call if you need us, honey. Sleep tight."
