Abby nodded and sat on the kitchen counter. "To tell you the truth i've been more worried about him..... he just left the Marking.. I understand why though.." she said quietly and a bit on the depressed side. Picking at some strings on the hem of her shorts.

Maria looked at Abby and sighed. "Ah...yes. Well, you know how hard this is for him. He could have killed you. And the fact that he even just hurt you upset him so much. But he's been checking in on you, you know. While you've been sleeping. He worries about you." She smiled softly. "But when you two take a walk, you can just talk it all out and everything will be better. I know it will be."
Abby nodded and sighed, getting off the kitchen counter. "I know. Im just worried about him because of those reasons," she said then her mood lightened up as she looked at the clock and saw there was only fifteen more minutes till school ended. Excitement lit up her eyes and she ran out of the kitchen and to her bedroom. Hopping on her bed, she leaned down and took out the journal. Flipping through the pages to where she left off. Well she would need something to occupy her time with till he got home and the secrets of the journal caused too much curiosity.
Roland would be home soon, going right up to Abby's room when he got inside. He knocked on the door, then opened it up. "Hey, how are you feeling?" He smiled softly at her and walked over to sit down beside her. "Did you have something to eat? You slept all day yesterday so I was worried how you would be feeling, stomach-wise."
(What do you think of something like this? I really am bad at thinking up cool symbols xD)

Abby heard the front door shut and her Mark started tingling again so she knew it was Roland. Closing the journal and putting it back under her mattress, she sat up as soon as he opened her bedroom door. A smile lit up her features and she happily sat criss cross. "Im feeling great. Yep Maria cooked some pancakes," she replied.
Abby crawled over to Roland then stood up on her knees and hugged him, putting her head on his shoulder. "Im glad your back..i havent seen you in two days with all this sleeping.." she murmured.
(thats awesome! love it! What if it had barbed wire around it too?)

Roland hugged her gently, rubbing her back. He smiled softly. "So what do you want to do today?" He let go and looked at her face carefully. "You don't look like you're sick anymore. That's good. And it doesn't seem like you are hurting anymore. Has everything been alright?"
Abby smiled and nodded, sitting back as he let her go. "Everything has been perfectly fine. Except this tingle i get where the Mark is. But thats only when your near. It stopped after i touched you," she replied. "Wanna go for a walk?" she added.
Roland lifted an eyebrow. "A tingle, hm? Well, if my being near makes it stop, I'll make sure to stay close to you." He smiled softly at her. "A walk sounds great, Abby. Let me get changed first, then we'll go." He pulled away and went to his room, getting dressed into jeans and a t-shirt. Then he came out and held his hand out for her. "Shall we?"
Abby smiled and waited for him to get changed before getting up and waiting outside her room. Once he came out, she took his hand and smiled. "We shall," she replied happily and followed him out. Once they where otuside, Abby took a deep breath then let it out slowly as a contented sigh. "It feels great outside today," she said as she looked around. It was a bright sunny day with a few clouds dotting the sky. The sun warmed her up as they walked and a gentle breeze fanned across her skin.
Roland walked leisurely along with her, holding her hand while his other was in his pocket. "It does." he agreed. "And now you can enjoy it, and go out around the place and go anywhere you want." He smiled at her. "Go to school, get a job, things like that. Whatever you want to do. It's a new life for you, Abby."
Abby smiled then paused walking and looked up at Roland. "I was worried about you.." she said quietly and lightly touched his cheek with her hand. The tingling started up on the Mark again and she took her hand off his cheek to rub the Mark. Whatever the danger was, it was lurking around again. Before she could think of what the danger might be, she saw her dads red convertible lexus driving down Roland's driveway. She tensed and watched as it got closer, seeing her dad behind the wheel with his shades on. "Roland. Something tells me my dad isnt coming for a talk," she said quietly.
Roland growled softly as he too noticed the convertible. "Maria!" he called. His sister stepped out of the house and noticed the car. She gave a slight nod to her brother, then went inside quickly. Roland stepped in front of Abby, gently pushing her behind him. "Of course he's not coming for a talk. But I can try to change that." His eyes narrowed, and he kept one hand behind him and on Abby, to keep her there. Safe behind him. Roland's eyes were locked on that convertible, and the despicable man behind the wheel.
Abby's dad pulled the car to the stop and bent down to get something before he stepped out of the car. Holding it behind him so it wasnt visible, he started walking towards Roland. "I want my daughter back." he said simply then pulled out a gun aiming for Roland.
Abby gasped and gripped Roland's shirt hard as she saw the gun. "Dad! Dont! Please!" she begged quietly, afraid for Roland. Not knowing wether the silver bullet thing had to be true or not. Abby's dad looked coldly at her as a unmistakable anger lied there then he turned his cold eyes back to Roland. Cocking the gun as he pointed it at Roland. "Abby. Come here. If you want him alive that is," her father said and Abby just barely shifted on her feet debating wether to go or not but knowing she wanted Roland to still be unharmed and alive. Taking one step towards her father.

Roland pulled Abby back. "Do it. You're not getting her back, you abusive son of a bitch. The only reason I didn't report your sorry ass is because I didn't want child protective services to take Abby away." His eyes narrowed. "Go ahead. You're concerned with your job, right? Your 'image'? I'm sure that would all go just wonderfully if you shot someone, hm?" He kept Abby behind him. "You can't kill me. Because if you did, you'd land yourself right in jail. Then YOU would find out what it's like to get beat on."
Abby's father pulled the trigger once Roland was finished. It only barely scraped by his cheek though as Abby used all her body weight to push him down which while he was focused on her father worked out pretty well as he fell to the ground. She held onto his shirt so she followed suit and fell right on top of him.
Abby's dad cocked the gun again and point ed it at Abby who was on top of Roland. "Abby. Move away from him," he said but Abby didnt move only to hold onto Roland. She looked down at his eyes and only Abby would smile in a situation like this.

Roland blinked in surprise as suddenly he was being pushed down. He landed on the ground and rolled over quickly, wrapping his arms around her and sitting up so that his back was to her father. Suddenly, one of the werewolf boys tackled Abby's dad, knocking him to the ground. Another boy hurried over and tried to wrestle the gun out of his grip. That was when police sirens were heard.
Abby held onto Roland's shirt tightly and put her head on his chest, squeezing her eyes shut as she thought she might hear a gun shot. There was none though and she relaxed slightly in his hold but kept holding onto him. "Whats going to happen to him?" she murmured to Roland, hearing the sirens.
The police cars came quickly, since Maria had called them as soon as Abby's father pulled in the drive. "Jailtime." Roland answered. "He's guilty of attempted murder, Abby. Against a school teacher, no less. They're not going to let him off easy." He wrapped his arms around her and held her close. "You're safe. I promise."
Abby relaxed in his arms and put her head on his shoulder, silently starting to cry. "I thought i was going to loose you..." she whispered. Not paying attention to anyone but Roland. It had scared her half to death whenever her father's gun went off and she had done the only thing she could think of to save him. She didnt want to loose him
Roland held her close, petting her head gently. The police cuffed Abby's father and took him away, confiscating the gun as well. Maria had videotaped the whole ordeal from the house, so she had absolute proof that Abby's father had tried to murder Roland.
"It's okay, Abby. You're not going to lose me. I'm not going anywhere. I promise." He held her close in his arms, petting her head while she cried. "That gun wouldn't have killed me anyways. It has to be a pure silver bullet, and normal bullets just don't cut it. So don't worry, okay?"
