Abby nodded but kept her head on his shoulder, waiting till she was calmed enough. Pulling away from his hold, she sniffled one or two times and rubbed the tears away. After a moment, she was fine and calmed down. But she placed a light kiss on his cheek just above his scratch from where the bullet just barely grazed him. It was already healing up and she calmed a little feeling much better now that he was safe. Still, she stayed quiet and sat there in the grass with him. "Im sorry.." She whispered.

Roland smiled as she kissed his cheek, but at her words he looked at her with confusion. "Sorry? Sorry about what, Abby?" He stood up, helping her to her feet as well. The police cars were leaving now, having gotten statements and the video from everyone. Well, everyone but Abby and Roland. But obviously, the two would be the most shocked out of everyone, with what had happened. So they weren't deemed 'dependable witnesses'. "Come on, we had a walk planned, right?"

Abby smiled as he mentioned the walk, following him as they started to walk again. "Im sorry that i come with a whole book full of problems and i failed to have a manual to go along with it," she said trying to make a joke but was truly sorry for the problems that came with her.

Aby then paused and smiled, pulling her hair to one side of her neck then turning to show Roland the Mark. "So what does your personality's signature look like?" she asked with a soft laugh.

Roland gave her a loaded look as she spoke of coming with a book full of problems. "What, and I didn't? Abby, we all have issues. Trust me on that one." When she paused and showed him the mark, he was hesitant to look at it. "It's uh... kind of a crescent moon... but the tips are longer. And it's got these spots, that..." He finally realized what it was. "Oh. It's a paw. It's a wolf paw. And it's got barbed wire around it." He chuckled. "Well...that's interesting."

Abby smiled and pushed her hair back over her shoulder then turned to face Roland. "Awesome!" she said excitedly then it died down a bit as she thought of somethings. "Roland? What does it mean when im your mate?" she asked quietly, looking up at the sky for a moment before looking at him.

Roland kept walking, holding her hand. "Well...what it means when a werewolf takes a mate is...what humans consider marriage. That person is his, no one else's. She can't be taken by anyone else, or else there's big trouble." His other hand rested casually in his pocket as they walked, even though this was a rather awkward topic. "But for us, well...it's different. I guess. When a wolf takes a mate, that's like marrying them. The dating stage is over, and they're married, so they can...behave like a married couple." He looked away, clearing his throat slightly. "But for you and me, we're kind of just now getting...well...into a dating...stage?" He glanced at her warily. "I think. Correct me if I'm wrong." He didn't want to jump into the assumption that they were dating.

Abby nodded as she listned and interlaced her fingers with his. She smiled as she could feel that he was feeling rather awkward. Then she brightened up as he said they were in the dating stage even it was an unsure way he said it. "Your not wrong i dont think. I mean you havent asked me out yet but i guess we could skip that part," she said as she smiled and laughed softly. Everything felt perfect.

Roland chuckled softly. "Right...well keep in mind, this is all...well, I'm rusty." He smiled softly at her. "So uh... I guess to 'officially' get it done...Abby, will you be my girlfriend?" His hand gripped hers a little tighter. The last girlfriend he had, he killed. He wasn't expressing all the turmoil of emotions going on inside him with this.

Abby smiled happily and looked at Roland, squeezing his hand gently but letting him grip her hand. "Yes i will Roland," she replied. On the inside, she was bouncing all over the place with happiness. On the outside, that happiness was shining in her eyes. Then she stood on her toes and placed a gentle kiss on his lips with a smile.

Roland leaned down so she was better able to kiss him, and he smiled. "Good. Otherwise, it'd be problematic." He chuckled a bit and walked along with her after their kiss, holding his hand still. Silence held for now, but it was a good silence. He was with Abby, they were both safe. That was all that mattered.

Abby laughed softly and nodded. "Yea that would be," she replied. She was comfortable in the silence as they continued to walk. Pausing once as she watched a hawk fly low over the ground then quickly ascend into the sky. "Wish i wouldve had a camera for that. I bet i couldve got some good shots," she said with a smile as they continued on.

Roland looked at her for a moment. "You're a photographer, Abby? You never mentioned that before." He smiled at her and kept walking. "I guess there's a lot I don't know about you, though. So tell me about yourself, Abby. Let me hear about you."

Abby smiled and nodded as he asked if she was a photographer, continuing on as he started walking again. "Well lets see..i love photography and im pretty good at it. I can sketch fairly well. I've always wanted a german shepard puppy but my mom said they were too much trouble. I love animals. I like climbing trees and taking walks as long as their scenic and off trails. I absolutely love food. Um..my favorite colors are green and black..i think thats it," she said as they walked then finally came to an end after a few minutes of thinking and talking. Looking up at Roland, she smiled. "What about you?" she asked.

Roland smiled at her, listening intently. "I see. Very interesting." He laughed a little as he asked him the question back. "You already know a lot about me. Well, I guess about my past. I love history, which is why I'm a history teacher. I like swimming, and running in wolf form is one of my favorite things to do. I will admit, I like a good tussle now and then, but that's just my rebel side coming out. My favorite color..." He thought over it carefully. "Purple. Her favorite color was purple, so it kind of became mine too." Abby could probably guess who 'she' was.

Abby smiled as she listened and nodded as he said his favorite color and why. Stopping as they came to a fence, she leaned on it and looked up at Roland. "Sounds..wolfish," she teased with a smile and soft laugh. Then the excitemnt returned to her eyes as she thought of telling Maria. Smirking, she let go of his hand and got off the fence, starting back towards the house. Then she took off running. "Last one to the house gets to tell Maria!" she called over her shoulder.

Roland laughed a bit, leaning on the fence. When she suddenly started running, he grinned. "Do you really think you can outrun a wolf?!" He took off running after her, easily catching up. He wasn't just fast in his wolf form. After all, he had the muscles to play in any sport he wanted. "If I get there first, do I get to tell Maria about your secret puppy love that your mom repressed?" he teased with a grin.

Abby laughed and shook her head no. "Its worth a shot," she replied and kept running. Abby smiled as he teased her and she tried to focus on running. "Fine but no shifting!" she said with a small laugh. She was pretty fast herself, surprisingly enough. She had run track for her highschool before the one now. Using her track skills, she took the lead again though she knew she would loose since he was probably a whole lot faster than she was.

Roland smirked and pumped his legs faster, overtaking her again and then skidding into the house. "Maria!! Abby's a tattletale!!" Maria looked up from where she was sitting in the livingroom and reading. For a moment, she looked shocked. Then she laughed heartily. "Good heavens, Roland, what are you? Eight? You should behave your age, silly! Look at what a bad influence you are on him, Abby!" She teased and smiled happily.

Abby came to a stop just inside the front door, panting heavily and trying to catch her breath. "Im..not a..bad..influence..just..a good..teacher." she panted to Maria and laughed as best she could as she playfully came up with a comeback. Walking into the living room, she collapsed on the couch and groaned in comfort. "Maria guess what? Roland asked me out," she said, looking over at Maria with a big grin.
