Abby smiled and chose the top-middle area. Leaning into his side a bit as he put his arm over her shoulders. "It should be. I heard a couple people during lunch talking about it," she replied, looking up at him and smiling. Once the movie started, she settled down and got quiet. Halfway through the movie, she was done with her popcorn and drink. Then when it ended, she found herself smiling because it ended well. As they walked out of the movie theater, she turned to Roland. "I loved it!" she commented happily.
Roland enjoyed it as well, laughing at the funny parts and getting tense at the serious parts. When it was over and they walked out, he smiled at her. "Great! I'm glad, Abby." He took her back to the house and got out of the car. "Alright, go ahead and sketch away. I've got some werewolf things I have to take care of." He kissed her forehead, then headed into the forest.
Abby took a couple steps towards him when he started towards the forest. "Wait! Dont you want to know who the wolf i sketched on my arm is?" she asked. The wold's head was completed and if it had been colored in expertly it would look as if it would come to life.
Roland paused and looked over at her with a smile. "Sure. I didn't know you were drawing someone, I thought it was just a wolf. Let me see it, Abby." He stood still, waiting for her to come show it to him. He was curious as to what, or who, as she said, it was.
Abby smiled and walked over to him, showing him the sketch. It was Roland's wolf form and looked exactly like him, what she had gathered from memory. Two arms were wrapped around the wolf's neck in a gentle embrace and the wolf looked happy.
Roland looked at the sketch and then he smiled softly. He leaned in, pressing a long and loving kiss to her lips. Then he slowly pulled away. "I'll see you later." he murmured. He let go and stepped back, then turned and went further into the forest.
Abby smiled and leaned into the kiss, kissing him back gently. Happy when he pulled away now that she had gotten a kiss from him before he left. "Be careful please.." she whispered to him before he walked away then stood there watching him walk away before she turned and started back to the house.
Roland was gone for most of the evening, but things in the house weren't without excitement. About an hour after Abby got home, Maria got a phonecall. And after that phone call, she was different. She paced about, murmuring to herself and looking anxiously out the window. She often glanced to Abby whenever she was around, but faked a smile quickly if Abby ever caught her looking.
When Roland got home, Maria pulled him into her room and shut the door for a private talk.
When Roland got home, Maria pulled him into her room and shut the door for a private talk.
Abby frowned at Maria's sudden change in behavior. Knowing something was up even without her fake smiles. Suddenly worry set in thinking it was Roland, but getting confused because her Mark told her everything was alright. It wasnt stinging which meant he was fine but it wasnt tingling either which meant he wasnt close. Finally when it did start tingling, she felt relieved and looked forward to seeing him come in. Though she was about to get up to go over to him when he walked in, Maria pulled him into her room to talk to her. Getting off the couch, she waited anxiously for them to come out of the room.
It took a half hour for them to come out, and Roland didn't look very happy. He was somewhere between upset and frustrated. He passed by Abby without even a hello, getting the phone and sitting down. He dialed a number, then held the phone up to his ear. "...Hello, principal? It's Roland L--" He was interrupted, which made him sigh. "Yes. Yes, I understand. I'll be there soon." He hung up the phone and tossed in on the couch, then got up and left the house. Maria stood by, watching sadly as Roland drove off.
"Abby...you should go do your homework." she said quietly.
"Abby...you should go do your homework." she said quietly.
Abby sat on the couch as Roland passed by her, thinking it was better to say nothing. Then as he called the principal, she got a sinking feeling and looked at the floor. When Maria told her to go do her homework, she didnt move. "He's in trouble..because someone saw us..right?" she asked quietly, looking up at Maria.
Maria looked at Abby for a moment, then nodded. "Just go up to your room and do your homework for now. We'll talk about it later, when Roland's back." She went to sit down at the table with a cup of tea and sighed. This just wasn't good. It wasn't good at all.
Abby didnt have homework but she went up to her room, balling her hands into fists. "Three more weeks! Abby why couldnt you have just said no!" she scolded herself. Going over to the bed, she grabbed her sketchbook and started sketching. Using up the whole book as she sketched a story. One picture after the other telling something that would lead to the next and the next until the last page she left blank. It only took her an hour and a half to do, once it was done she set it down on her bed. Then stuffed a bunch of stuff in a backpack before setting it down beside the window. Opening the window, she climbed onto the window sill and crawled out onto the little portion of roof sticking out below her window. However she sat there and looked up at the moon, putting her hand on her Mark.
Pulling her knees to her chest, she heard the sound of thunder overhead as she sat on the roof. Dark clouds slowly covered the moon and after several minutes it started to rain. Abby sat there and let the rain beat gently down on her, letting the feel and sounds of the rain calm her down. Letting the rain hide her silent tears as they fell. Roland no doubt would loose his job over it unless he came up with a good enough lie. Nothing hit her harder then thinking of him loosing his job to something like one wrong person seeing them. She had to find out who it was that saw them..

A voice called up in the rain. "You'll catch a cold if you stay up there!" It was the boy who had taken her to the match! He got a running start, then climbed up the side of the house and sat down beside her. "You humans are a lot less durable than us. You should be inside while it's raining." He looked at her for a few moments. "Hey...wanna talk? The alpha sent me, you know. He called me up and told me to come see how you were doing." He smiled, rather proudly. "It's an honor, you know. For the alpha to give me a job like that. I mean, you're his mate. You're special. If he wanted me to come check on you, that means he really trusts me." He looked at her. "Do you trust me, miss Abby?"
Abby was silent as the boy rambled on talking then finally spared him a look as he asked her a question. "Yes.." she whispered and it was easy to tell by her voice that she had been crying. Though she didnt want to talk about it, she forced herself to lighten up because it wasnt the boy's fault. "You can call me Abby you know..I never did catch your name," she said, looking at the boy but was still serious unlike her usual happy self.
The boy smiled. "I'm Kevin. It's nice to officially meet you, Abby." He scooched a little closer, then put his arms around her and gently held her. "You don't need to be upset, okay? Everything'll be fine. The alpha'll figure it out. He always does." He smiled gently. "Abby, will you please go inside with me? You know it'll just make the alpha even more upset if you get a cold again. He was really worried about you when you got it that other time.."
Abby forced a smile when he said it was nice to meet her offically. Then reluctantly leaned into his hold not wanting to be mean or anything. She was quiet for a moment then sighed quietly. "Alright.." she murmured then pulled away from him. Standing up halfway as she made her way back to her window, she climbed back in and waited for Kevin before shutting her window. Glancing down at the backpack next to it that she had stuffed with clothes. Quickly kicking it under her bed before going into her bathroom to get towels for both of them.
Kevin brightened up. "Good! Thanks, Abby." He went inside with her, shaking himself off almost like a dog would. "Maria won't be mad I'm in here, don't worry. She knows if I'm here, the alpha sent me." He smiled and took the towel she gave to him. "Thanks. So Abby...how have you been? After the fight and everything, I haven't since you since then so how have you been?" He dried himself off with the towel and then sat down cross-legged on the floor.
Abby dried off as best as she could then wrapped the towel around her. "I've been fine. Me and Roland went on a date which was the best night of my life until someone reported it. Why didnt Roland come up here himself?" she asked, looking at Kevin.
Kevin listened, then blinked. "You went on a date? That's weird." When she asked why Roland didn't come himself, he sighed. "He called me from his cellphone. So he's probably still out. He was probably worried about you though, since he's gone, and wanted me to check in on you since he couldn't." He shrugged a little. "So anyways...what was this date like? What do you do during a date?"
