Abby looked up at him as he said something, her eyes widening as he suddenly pressed his lips to hers. Encircling her arms around his neck, she shivered as his hand caressed her belly. For a mere moment, Abby seemed like she was going to pull away but her wolf leapt at the chance to finally be mated with Roland. Pulling him closer with her arms, she smiled into the kiss and just nodded. Giving him the go ahead. (Aaannnnddd ftb! )

The next morning, the two of them ended up sleeping in. When Roland finally did wake, he found himself next to his bare Mate. He smiled softly and gently kissed her shoulder, then slowly got up. He went to the bathroom, washed up, and got himself dressed. It was getting easier for him to do so with the one arm, it just took a bit of practice. He sat down on the edge of the bed, his fingers brushing Abby's hair from her face. She was so beautiful, and she was all his. Roland knew he didn't deserve her. The way she loved him no matter what, the way she supported him, the way she dealt with all the crap he gave her. He gave her shoulder a gentle shake and kissed her forehead. "Hey, sleepyhead...you're gonna have to wake up if you want to go on that picnic today."

Abby stirred slightly as Roland kissed her forehead, rubbing her tired eyes before she blinked them open slowly. When she saw Roland, she gave him a sleepy smile and pushed herself up to sit. Looking around for a minute, she had to rub her eyes again just to make sure she was actually awake. When she made sure she was, she couldn't help but grin and attack Roland happily. Planting a kiss on his lips and nuzzling his cheek. "Good morning love," she whispered into his ear, just holding onto him for a bit before she pulled away. Sliding out of bed, Abby grabbed her clothes and headed to the bathroom. "I'll be right back," she said over her shoulder. Once she washed up and got dressed, Abby bounced back out into the main room and looked around for her Mate.

Roland smiled calmly at her. "Good morning." He watched her and kissed her back, holding her close for a moment. Then he let her head off to the bathroom. He gathered whatever was left of their things, since they hadn't really brought much, and once she was out of the bathroom he took her hand. "Come on, we've got to stop by the house to get our picnic stuff, right? And some clothes." Since they were both in their pajamas. He leaned in to kiss her cheek for a moment, nudging his head lightly against hers. "I love you."

Abby intertwined her fingers with his as he took her hand and nodded. "Yep, that's the plan. Are you going to be okay going back to the house right now?" she asked, concerned how he would take going back right now. Smiling as he kissed her cheek then nudged her, she rested her head against his. "I love you too," she whispered, then gave him a wink before pulling him gently towards the door. Once they got the car, she made sure Roland had everything under control but didn't point out that she was. She still wanted him to feel confident in himself, so she only waited for his say-so. Starting up the car, she backed out and headed back to the house. Getting out once they got there and waiting for Roland before she headed towards the house.

Roland nodded slightly. "...yeah. I'll be alright." He went back to the house with her. When they got inside, they would find only Maria. Ben was apparently out; Roland couldn't smell him. "Roland!" Maria sighed in relief and ran over to hug him. "You didn't take your cellphone, I was so worried about you!" He put his arm around her and sighed slightly. "I'm still mad at you, you know." he said. Maria grimaced slightly and let go before sighing. "I know. But I'm just glad you're back." Roland gave a nod, then looked to Abby. "Go ahead and change, Abby. Whenever you're ready for the picnic, we can go."

Abby stood beside Roland and waited for him to give her the go ahead. "I'll be right back," she said, standing on her tip toes to kiss his cheek before she headed off upstairs. Changing into a pair of white shorts, a red tank top, and her black converse. She did a quick five minute job of curling her hair before heading off back downstairs. Last night she had packed all the stuff they would need for a picnic and put it in her car, so she was all ready whenever she got downstairs. Looking around for Roland, she went to the fridge and grabbed a couple of drinks for them.

Roland went to get dressed as well. He put on a nice pair of jeans and a button-up dress shirt. Nothing too fancy, but nice. He found her at the fridge and smiled. "Ready to go?" Once she agreed, they'd be back in the car and he would let her take him wherever she desired. "So...what do you think we should do? About everything. About my job or lack thereof, about Ben, about the whole Alpha and pack thing..." He glanced at her. "..and about you being a werewolf. You seem to be fine with it, but I still have to ask. Do you...are you like..mad at me for it, at all? I mean, I changed your whole life. I didn't really mean to, but it happened."

Abby looked up as soon as she heard Roland speak, smiling and nodding. Leading him outside, she put the drinks in the basket then slid into the car. Once they reached the park and she had everything set up, they laid out on the blanket. Looking up at Roland as he began discussing the situation with her, she pushed herself up and sat criss cross next to him. "I think that for the best interest of the pack, you need to continue as Alpha. I have no problem with practicing and becoming the one that takes care of the physical aspect. But this Pack does look up to you Roland, I think they still need you making the decisions. I can get a job outside of the Pack or you could keep your teaching job. It wont be as hard as you think and if you need to, I can talk to the school about being your assistant or something along those lines. Ben, well it is really up to you. If Maria and him have Mated... and they want to continue being Mates, im not sure we have too much of a choice there. But if not, he can move elsewhere. But I do think it would be important to keep him in the Pack, he's dangerous off on his own," she said, not really making any decisions, just putting her piece in. Surprise flitted over her features before a frown took it's place. Sliding onto her belly next to him, she nuzzled his cheek and rested her head against his. "Roland... why would you think I would be mad at you for it? I am happy with how it turned out. I am happy being your Mate and it's just a bonus that I got turned into a werewolf. I mean it's pretty awesome," she said, smiling down at him. Leaning a little further over him, she placed a kiss on his lips.

Roland listened to her input, smiling softly when she reassured him that she was not mad at him for Turning her. He kissed her back and settled onto the blanket, looking at their food. He was starving. "I'll think it over. You have some good ideas." He started eating, feeling too hungry to thoroughly discuss the topics more. "I'm glad I have you around, though, Abby." He looked at her for a moment and smiled softly. "I don't think I'd be able to do any of this without you." He sat beside her and simply ate his food. With one hand, he couldn't do anything else at the same time.

Abby beamed happily as Roland praised her ideas and said he'd think it over. Watching him for a moment as he ate, she wondered briefly how she got so lucky with having him as her Mate. Then she moved to brush up against his side as he ate and told her he was happy to have her. "I will always be right here next to you. I love you," she said, kissing his cheek before she digging into the food herself. Once she was finished, Abby shifted into her wolf form and curled up around Roland. Her head in his lap and her tail brushing against his side. Ears flicking up as she heard some rustling in the bushes, a scent was carried to her by the wind. Well, more like a few of the same scent. Lifting her head off his lap, her ears flicked backwards in warning as she stared at the bushes.

The Alpha of the Moone pack and a few of his higher advisors strolled out of the woods. His eyebrow raised as he saw Roland and the wolf that was curled around him enjoying a picnic. "Well I wasn't expecting this. You turned her I see," he commented, his voice somewhat filled with distaste.

Abby started to let out a low growl of hostility but she stayed curled around Roland, not moving unless he did.

Roland smiled softly and finished eating. When she curled up around him in her wolf form, he settled back against her and closed his eyes. Abby caught the scent first, but he noticed soon after and sat up straight, frowning. "I wasn't expecting you either." he said calmly. He held himself firmly, despite secretly being quite self-conscious about the whole missing-arm thing. "I did." he stated. He might have asked if he had a problem with that, but in all honesty, Roland didn't care if he had a problem with it. "It was not against her will." Technically. Neither of them had intended it to happen, but she seemed to be enjoying it. "What do you want?" Finally Roland cut to the chase, his eyes locked on the alpha and his advisors.

The Alpha raised an eyebrow again in question at Roland's sharp tone. "I came to see how you were handling actually. My wolves had reported you had been in a serious accident recently. I am glad to see it hasn't effected you too seriously," he replied, glancing at Abby as she growled again. "I see your female is as bratty as ever. You might think of keeping her on a leash before she gets herself into trouble with the wrong people," he suggested, brushing off the shoulder of his shirt before he looked at Roland. "I also came to warn you. A group of people traveled through our town a month or so ago. Some stayed and others didn't. The few who stayed happened to call themselves Hunters. As much as I would love to tell you they are no threat, I can not. I had some of my advisors look into them. One of them has successfully taken out three packs in this region alone. He has extensive hunting background when it comes to our kind and im afraid he poses more of a threat then I would have originally thought. Keep your Pack close," he concluded, taking one more glance at Abby before he turned to leave. As they all shifted and dispersed back into the forest, Abby looked up at Roland.

Flicking her ears forward, her eyes posed the question of what he thought about the whole thing.

Roland listened to him, frowning. "If you dare say another thing about my Mate..." He let the threat hang, knowing it was more menacing to let them fill in the blank. He listened to the warning, growing tense. "..Thank you for the warning." He was honestly thankful to them. As soon as they left, he got to his feet. "Come on, we've got to get back. While you're in wolf form, all the others in to the house. We have to have a pack meeting." This was bad. This was very bad. He helped her gather everything as much as he could, and then they were heading back to the house.

Abby rubbed her head against his belly to soothe him when he threatened the other Alpha. As Roland stood, she did as well, shaking out her fur before she shifted back to human form and pulled on her clothes. As he helped her pack everything away, she started heading back to the Pack House. As soon as they arrived, she made sure everyone was rounded up so Roland could give the announcement. Bouncing back down the stairs dressed in her white ripped up jeans, a black tank top and her hair pulled back in a pony tail. Moving next to Roland, she gave him a smile and nodded towards the Pack. "Go ahead love," she urged gently.

Roland was thinking. He hadn't said much the entire time, and he was thinking very carefully about their situation. "Hunters are in the area." he finally announced. "The Moone pack's alpha came to warn me. One hunter alone has taken out three packs in this region. He knows what he's doing. I hereby forbid any shifting until the threat has passed, and everyone needs to stick to their homes as much as possible. We need to be as regular as possible until the hunter passes through. No shifting. If you're in danger of shifting, come here. We've got a room in the basement that is a safelock. You'll be kept there until you can change back. NO ONE is to go anywhere alone. Understood?"

Abby watched the Pack as surprised and worried murmurs began to spread throughout the large group. Giving Roland's hand a loving squeeze, she drifted through the Pack. Giving people quiet reassurance and soothing touches to their arms, taking her part as female Alpha seriously. Almost as soon as Roland came to a conclusion, Abby was returning to his side, brushing up against him for support. The Pack nodded their understanding of the situation and Roland's order, some even saying out loud that they understood.

Abby watched as the Pack started to group up and talk about the hunter, worrying about their pups or friends and family. Turning to Roland, she rose a brow. "Are we going to try to do anything about it or leave it alone and hope he moves on?" she asked, concern etched into her features.

Roland looked at Abby and held her hand. "We're going to leave it alone and hope he moves on. If we cause trouble, that will only make him want to stay more. But if we prove to be peace-loving and maybe even blend in with everyone else, he's more likely to just keep going on his merry way. Hopefully." He let go of her hand to wrap his one arm around her and hold her close. "I just don't want anything to happen to you. You're one of us now. If anything happened to you..." He clenched his jaw. He would never forgive himself.

Abby let Roland pull her into his side, smiling and pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek. "Nothing will happen to me or the pack. We'll be fine," she reassured gently, rubbing his shoulder for a moment. Suddenly Abby lit up excitedly as she remembered something. Graduation was tomorrow! She had missed a lot of the end of school but her grades were still good enough to pass and she had good reason to miss. "Hey, graduation is tomorrow. Are you going to come?" she asked, hoping he would say yes. But she would understand if he said no.

Abby's father stepped out of the car, pushing the door shut behind him. An older man was waiting on the front porch, thick, muscled arms crossed over his chest. He may be older but he was a hell of a lot bigger and stronger. "Micah, it's good to see you again. How's the hunting business?" Abby's father greeted, stepping up onto the porch to shake his hand. Micah only looked at him in disgust and rolled his hands. "What do you want Trent?" he barked, cutting to the chase. Trent rose a brow and dropped his hand. "I see my old partner still has some hard feelings. Well, it doesn't matter now. Thanks for bailing me out. Another offense like that and im screwed for life. Anyway, I have some information you might want," he said, catching Micah's interest. Opening the door to his home, Trent nodded for him to join him inside.

Roland grinned at her. "Of course I'm going to come. I wouldn't miss it for the world." He kissed her gently and nuzzled against her. "Besides...I want to talk to the principle about getting my job back. Maybe you can work as my assistant or something? I can't do everything one-handed right now, obviously. If you don't want to, they can always give me an intern or something." He brushed her hair from her face. "I'll see you after the ceremony then, love. Since you and I will both be busy beforehand." He kissed her nose and let her go, heading off to check on the rest of the pack.
