Roland let her go as she went for her phonecall, not wanting to invade her privacy with that. He tolerated Steffie while Abby was gone, though he kept glancing to the door, concerned about her. When she came back, he nodded. "Yeah, of course. Is everything okay?" He got to his feet, paid the bill and left a tip, ignoring Steffie completely. He walked with Abby out of the diner and got into his car.

Abby sighed once they got in his car and leaned back in the seat, taking off her shoes and propping her feet up on his dashboard again. "Not really. My parents are going to be gone for two weeks," she muttered and rubbed her forehead, wincing as she rubbed her bruise. Then she looked out the car window as they headed back. A small, soft laugh leaving her lips. "You looked like Steffie was annoying you. I thought you were intrested in her," she teased and looked over at Roland.

Abby couldnt help it as her eyes roamed along his arms, watching his muscles flex as he turned the steering wheel and gripped it tight. Then she remembered how they felt around her and she started to think what it would be like for him to willing hold her out of love for her. Then she quickly shook her head to clear it. No Abs! You cant start thinking that way! Bad Abby! she mentally scolded herself.
Roland nearly slammed on the breaks when he heard her speak. "..what?! Your parents are leaving you alone in this house, in a town you JUST moved to, for two whole weeks?!" He frowned. "What kind of parents are they? If you weren't going to be of-age soon, I'd call child protective services right now and get you somewhere safe. That's ridiculous!"

He started driving again, looking at the road with a frown, but a thoughtful expression. "Steffie was annoying me. I was worried about you, I didn't know if everything was alright or not. Obviously, it's not." He was quiet while they drove, and then he pulled up in front of her house. "Ms. Abby, I've got a proposition for you. I have a sister. She's twenty-four, she's really nice, and she just happens to have a spare room in her house. If you want, you could stay with her while your parents are gone. That way, you're not alone." He neglected to mention that his sister wasn't the only one who lived in said house.

Abby looked at Roland, surprised by how mad he seemed about it. "Theyre the type of parents that want more to do with their job than their kid. I think i'll be fine. But i'll let you know if i change my mind. Thanks for dinner Mr. Lyall and the ride back," she said as she put her shoes back on. Getting out of his car, she paused and leaned back in for a second. "Oh and the reason im skipping school tommorow is because its my birthday," she said before closing the door.

Abby walked up the stairs to her front door and entered their cold, empty house. Picking up her backpack, she closed the front door and went into the kitchen. Setting her bag on the counter, she didnt bother getting out her homework and just poured herself a glass of milk before hopping up and sitting on the kitchen counter.
Roland sighed. "Alright. The offer stands as long as you need it, Ms. Abby. Really." He listened as she mentioned tomorrow being her birthday and he smirked. "Alright...I guess that's a good enough excuse." He watched her until she was safely inside, then he drove off. He had to get home and alert his family to his offer. They wouldn't be happy, but he couldn't simply let her be alone for two whole weeks.

The next day, he wouldn't force her to class. But after school, he got there and knocked on the door. He had birthday balloons and a present, wrapped, tucked under his arm.

Abby was certainly happy that Roland didnt come around and drag her out of bed for school the next day. Though she wondered why someone would be at the door at this time. Walking to the front door, she opened the door and stood there leaning on the doorframe. She was wearing tight blue jean shorts and a black, tight fitting half-shirt and was barefoot. Her hair was in a cute mess as she pushed her bangs back a bit before smiling.

"Hey Mr. Lyall. You brought me balloons?" Abby asked with a cocked brow and an amused smile. Then it turned it a gentle, more relaxed one. "Thank you. It actually means alot to me. Wanna come in?" she asked and pushed the door open all the way to invite him in.
Roland smiled gently. "Happy birthday, Abby. I figured you shouldn't celebrate your birthday alone. It's just not right." He nodded and stepped inside, handing the balloons and present to her. "It's really not much. I don't know you well enough to get you something meaningful."

The present was a notebook, with a very neat, punky/goth design on the cover. "It seems to fit you." He chuckled a bit.

"Hey you called me Abby. Thanks cause i was getting tired of the Ms. Abby," Abby said with a small laugh as she took the balloons and present. Going into the kitchen, she tied the balloons to a chair then hopped up on the kitchen counter and sat there. "Make yourself at home," she invited and looked down at the notebook again for the third or fourth time. "I think you were right. It does fit me well," she said with a soft laugh.

Abby was silent for a moment before looking at Roland, studying him for a moment. "Thank you Mr. Lyall. This is honestly the sweetest thing someone has done for me," she said with a smile. Glancing out of the kitchen window, she came eye to eye with the black wolf she almost ran over. A gasp left her lips and she hopped off the counter. Setting the notebook down on the counter, she ran over to the back door and opened it. The black wolf stood at the edge of the woods with his ears pricked up as if beckoning her closer. Abby did exactly what it wanted her to, she quickly stepped off the porch and slowly made her way over to the woods with no fear of the wolf. Though it did bare it's fangs and growl, his eyes were enchanting her to get closer.
Roland got up quickly as she started out the door. He grabbed her by the wrist. "Abby, stop!! What the hell do you think you're doing?! It's a wolf! They're dangerous! Never, EVER go near them!!" He looked at her sternly for a long moment, then looked up to the wolf at the edge of the woods. For just a brief moment, Roland bared his own teeth in a silent growl, then he quickly turned his attention back to Abby.

"Come on, let's get back inside. Are you insane? You were like a lamb being led to the slaughter right there." He pulled her inside and shut the door, locking it. "Please, never do that again. You could get killed!"

Abby blinked several times, she looked to be in a daze as he pulled her back. Her eyes finally focused on Roland and she winced at his yelling tone, looking away from him as he scolded her. "I-Im sorry...." she whispered. The black wolf had turned and ran back into the woods as Roland appeared and gave him a silent growl. The black wolf was definitly a rogue and definitly younger. But it also definitly had its eyes on Abby in making her his.

Abby followed Roland back inside as he pulled her along. Frowning as he carried on about it, she leaned against the kitchen counter as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I said im sorry..I dont know what happened...its eyes were just..drawing me to it.." she said with a confused frown. "As if..as if it wasnt just a wolf..there was something about it..that seemed human.." she added.
Roland tensed, then scoffed. "Human? Are you kidding me? It's a wolf, Abby. It's a beast. A dangerous beast, a CARNIVORE. It will eat you. Please, promise me you will stay away from wolves. Promise me, Abby. Please." He looked at her, almost desperate. Then he let go and sat down. "Do you have a favorite movie or something? We could watch that."

Abby looked at Roland then relaxed and gave him a smile. "Fine. I'll stay away from the wolf," she promised then turned and walked over to the fridge as her stomach growled. Opening it up, it was embarrassingly bare of food except a couple of tomatoes, a couple slices of bread and some butter. Quickly shutting it, she hoped that Roland hadnt seen and ignored the thought of food. "Um yea i like the Titanic but i dont think that would be..appropiate. So um..how about..The woman in black?" she asked as she made her way over to the pantry which was also empty except for a jar of flour and a jar of honey. Abby again quickly shut the door hopeing Roland hadnt seen any of that.
Roland was watching her as she looked for food, so she wasn't in luck. "How about we call in some pizza? My treat, part of my birthday present for you. And we can watch whichever one you'd like. The painting scene in Titanic can always be fast-forwarded through."

He got out his cellphone. "What kind of pizza do you like?"
Abby (played by StillDoll) Topic Starter

Abby smiled and and leaned over the counter so she was a bit closer to Roland, unintentionally though. "Titanic it is," she said happily. Then thought for a second and got up, heading for the living room. "Pepperoni," she said as she walked in the living room. Grabbing the Titanic movie, she put it in the DVD player and turned on the TV. Turning up the volume, she plopped down on the couch with a happy smile.

This was the most fun she had had in long long time. "So if you can call me Abby can i call you Roland?" she asked with an innocent smile but she knew the answer would be no.
Roland smiled and nodded, ordering the pizza, giving the address and then sitting back in the couch. When she asked that question, he chuckled. "No. You can't. But you can call me Mr. Roland, you don't have to call me Mr. Lyall. It feels weird when someone calls me that, it makes me feel old. So Mr. Roland is fine."

He watched the TV for a moment before glancing at her. "It must be really lonely in this house by yourself. My offer to live with my sister still stands. I told her about it, she didn't mind at all." He glanced towards the door. "And...with that wolf being so near the house, it would make me personally feel a lot better knowing you were safe."

Safe. Safe in a house full of werewolves. He almost laughed aloud.

Abby looked at him as he glanced at her and she turned towards him, facing him now. "Well i wouldnt say lonely so much as creepy. I have slept a second since i've been here alone. I always feel like someone is watching me..i know that sounds crazy Mr. Roland but its just how i feel. The wolf doesnt bother me so much but if it makes you feel better and i get some sleep then i think i'll take you up on that offer," she said with a smile.

Abby turned back to the Tv and was quick to hop up as the doorbell rang. Walking over to the door, she opened it and smiled at the delivery boy. He was rather hot and she couldnt help but check him out. He had black messy hair and green eyes with yellow rims. He was tall about 6'1 and was well-muscled but not too much, enough to make normal girls drool.

Abby smiled and took the pizza. "Thanks how much?" she asked. The boy flashed her a white, perfect smiled and leaned on the doorframe. "Its free if i get your name and number," he said smoothly. Abby blushed slightly and smiled with a soft laugh. "Gimme a second and i can do that," she said and dissappeared into the kitchen. Writing her name and number down on a piece of paper then rushed back to the front door and gave it to him. He grinned and winked before leaving. Abby smiled and returned to the couch, setting the pizza down on the coffee table.
Roland got up when the pizza-man came. While Abby was in the kitchen, he went to the door and handed the boy some money. He gave a soft growl and said quietly to the boy, "Back off. You and me are having a talk later, and if you keep this up, it's not going to be pleasant." By the time Abby came back, he'd shooed the pizza boy away. "Abby, come on." he said, turning to her with a smile and the pizza in his arms. "I said it was part of my present to you, so let me pay." He pretended that he had no clue there was some kind of flirtation going on there.

He walked to the couch and set the pizza down, sitting down and smiling. "So tell me, Abby, what do you like about Titanic?" Meanwhile, he was deep in thought. He wasn't going to let a werewolf date Abby, that was just bad news. Werewolves dating humans. It was bad. And especially if the wolf was being such a stalker and watching her while she was alone.

"It really would make me feel a lot better, by the way, if you did take my offer. So after the movie, you can pack up some things and I'll call my sister to let her know?" He smiled. "I would really be able to relax more knowing that you were somewhere safe. It worries me when you talk about the feeling of someone watching you. Especially since your parents are gone."
Abby (played by StillDoll) Topic Starter

The boy growled softly and balled his hands into fists but he smirked as he left. No way was th ealpha of some other pack gonna get in between him and Abby. So he did somthing unexpected, he enrolled in school and made sure all his classes were with Abby.

Abby was slightly dissappointed she wasnt able to give the boy her number but she shrugged it off and smiled. Sitting on the couch with Roland, she started eating and looked at Roland as he asked her a question. "Just that it both has suspense, romance, and action. But mainly the whole forbidden romance thing," she said with a smile and shrug. Leaning back into the couch, she watched the movie and nodded at his plan.

Abby looked at him then shrugged with a smile. "Aww isnt that cute? Your worried for me," she teased and poked him in the side playfully before turning her attention back to the movie.
Roland was going to be wary of that wolf. Werewolves weren't to be trusted. He felt rather two-faced himself, being so kind to Abby like this. He chuckled slightly as she poked him. "I'm not allowed to be concerned about my students? Any teacher would be worried if one of their students was living alone for a few weeks and had a wolf come right up to their house. Geez, that alone makes me want to just escort you everywhere." He laughed a bit, then ate some pizza and settled in for the movie.

It was a good movie, something he as a history teacher greatly enjoyed. He would often point out little interesting facts about the Titanic and its sinking, some historical little thing that you knew to be true, instead of a movie that was obviously fictionized. Naturally, they fastforwarded through the risque painting scene, and then were able to relax and enjoy the movie again.

Abby did complain a bit about fastforwarding through the paintin scene but she let it go after the ship crashed and started to sink. She was sitting up straight and absorbed into the movie once it started sinking. "He could obviously fit on that door too.." She muttered as Rose said goodbye to Jack an let him sink into the water. Relaxing back into the couch after that, she brought her feet onto the ouch and sat criss cross.

After the movie was finished, Abby got up and rushed upstairs. Packing one bag full of her clothes, make-up, and random other stuff then she grabbed her backpack. Going downstairs, she set her stuff on the floor by the stairs and grabbed her car keys. "I'll follow you there in my mustang. I want something i can drive to school," she said to Roland and looked up at him expectantly.
