Abby gave Maria a reluctant smile, sighing heavily and nodding. She trusted that the pack would protect Roland to the best of their abilities but it didn't make her feel any better that she wasn't there to add extra protection for her mate. "Alright, thank you again Maria," she said, watching her leave before she set aside the food and curled up in bed. Sighing heavily, she resigned herself to sleep away the rest of the day till Roland returned safe and sound.
Micah stared at the picture of the house before looking back up at the second story bedroom window. Leaning back down to look through the scope, he pulled the trigger and grinned in satisfaction at another monster down. Making his way back to his car several blocks away in town, he paused when across the street he noticed a very high up on the list wolf make his way down the street. Lighting up a cigarette, he grinned to himself and simply blended into the small crowd as he made his way to his car. Getting in, he headed home for the night and would start planning his next move.

Roland had been smart about things. He'd set one of the younger werewolves to watching the ground, looking for anyone that acted slightly suspicious. Micah had been noticed, and the young Were made a note to keep an eye out for his appearance tomorrow. In the meantime, though, Roland arrived back at the house later that night and went up to visit Abby. All the windows in their house were blocked up. He had learned about the latest murder, and was noticing a method. The guy shot through openings. So all the openings in the house were blocked. He'd have to have x-ray vision to get through to them. Even then, there was too much resistance through the walls.
"Hey, Abs." he said softly, walking in and sitting down beside her. "How are you feeling? I was worried about you all day." He took in a soft breath and let it out. "I'm here, though. I'm heading back out tomorrow, but don't worry. It'll be okay." He brushed her hair with his hand. "Another Were was killed today. But we're starting to recognize the patterns, and how he works. Don't worry. I'll be careful. I promise." He kissed her head. "But I want you to stay indoors, alright? Don't go near any windows or doors or anything. I want you to stay in here where you're nice and safe."
