Roland simply chuckled, watching as the movie ended. He cleaned up their pizza mess while she went to pack. Once everything was cleaned up and she came down, he smiled at her and nodded. "Alright, sounds good. Let's go then." He got his keys and went to his car, getting in. He waited for her to be ready, then he turned on the car and drove off to his sister's house. The house was a fairly large size, and there was a group of boys standing around outside and throwing a football to each other.
He pulled up and parked, getting out of the car. The boys came running over to him. "Roland, Roland!" they said excitedly. "Play a game with us? Please, Roland? Please?!" However, as soon as Abby was spotted, they all went silent. "Guys, you know you shouldn't be tossing that around so close to the house. Let's not break a window, alright? But I'll play a game with you, as soon as my student gets settled in. Okay?" The boys nodded quietly, looking at Abby shyly. Finally, one jabbed the other and the small group ran off to a spot farther away from the house to keep playing with the football.
"There's always going to be someone around. It's a pretty popular place. My sister, Maria, likes having company. But if you ever want some privacy, all you've gotta do is go into your room and shut the door." He walked up to the door and knocked on it. It was thrown open by an enthusiastic, beautiful young woman. "Roland!" She hugged him happily, then let him go and looked at Abby. "And you must be Abby. It's so nice to meet you, I'm Maria. Here, let me show you to your room."

Abby was a bit self-concious as the boys stopped tossing the ball around and looked at her. She gave them a little wave then grabbed her bags and followed Roland up to the door. She smiled as Maria seemed so excited about seeing her. "Thank you for letting me stay here Maria," she said as she followed her in. Following her to her room, she smiled and looked around at the room thinking it was a bit bright for her tastes but she liked it too. She was rather grateful for it as well and she set her bags down by the bed. It was getting late into the afternoon and Abby inwardly groaned as she realized how much homework she still had to do.
Abby sat on the bed and put her backpack onto the bed with her. Opening it up, she took out her math packet, english homework, science homework, and her art class work as well. "Thank you again Maria," she said with a smile then took out a pencil and started on the work not expecting anything else or anyone else.

Maria smiled warmly at Abby. "It's not a problem at all, Abby. I'm glad to help in any way that I can. We'll let you alone for now, I have to talk to my brother." Roland smiled. "Take care, Abby." He went downstairs to talk with his sister, quietly expressing his concern about the boy from the other clan. "Oh Roland, you worry too much. If they do start dating, what does it matter? When that happens, it becomes their problem, not yours. Just let it go, maybe it won't be so bad." Roland frowned. "Won't be so bad? Maria, I almost broke her wrist the other day just because she touched me! What do you think a young wolf is going to do?"
Abby layed on her bed on her stomach and took out her phone. Looking up all the answers online, she copied them down then flipped her phone shut and put it in her pocket. It took her a good thirty minutes to copy down all the answers then she shoved it in her backpack, forgetting about it. Rolling onto her back, she sighed and put her hands behind her head. Lookin up at the white ceiling, she thought about the black wolf. Then an idea came to mind and she sat up before getting off the bed. Slipping her shoes back on, she grabbed her car keys and headed to the front door. Not thinking she needed to tell anyone where she was going, she went out to her mustang and got in. Starting it up, she backed out of the driveway then turned onto the main road. Going into town, she looked around for a library and once she found it she parked right away.
Abby got out and walked inside, signing up for a library card too. Then she went to the history section and after thirty or so minutes found a book she wanted. It was a journal of a girl who had lived in this town back in the 1800's. Checking it out, she headed out to her car and got in but didnt start it up just yet. Leaning back in the drivers seat, she opened up the journal and started reading.
Dear Journal,
My parents forced me to go to Wolf High today. I believe this town is hiding a secret. When i entered the school, the other students here had incredible strength and amazing speed. A fight had started shortly after the day began and what would normally just bruise people wound up breaking bones. There is something strange going on here and i shall figure it out. I have to go now. Till tommorow.

While Abby was in her car, she'd see a fight going on at a nearby corner. It was some of the boys from Maria's house, fighting against a couple guys from her school. They were pushing each other around, and soon some punches started being thrown. Before it developed into an all-out brawl, an adult from the library came and broke it up, scolding them. The boys scattered quickly, and the adult went back inside, shaking his head.
It was a couple minutes later that a knock on her window came. It was Roland! "Hey, was wondering where you went off to. Everything okay?"

Abby closed the journal and looked up when she heard scuffling. Frowning when saw punches being thrown, the punches from the boys from Maria's place were definitly stronger than the boys from school. Really strong. Almost inhumanly. Sitting up a bit more in her drivers seat, she watched the adult break the fight up and send them on their ways.
Abby jumped as she heard Roland knock on the window and the journal fell to the floor. Opening the door, she got out and leaned on her car after shutting the door. "Yea im fine. I just wanted to get a book from the library," she said with a smile. "Why are you here?" She asked, tilting her head to the side in a cute way.

Roland smiled at her, then shrugged a little. "The librarian called me up about a fight. Since I know the kids, I was going to come make sure nobody was hurt." He looked at her carefully. "I'm glad you weren't involved in it. When I couldn't find you, I was concerned you might have been part of the fight." He smiled. "I'm glad you're not, though. Fighting's not good."
He glanced around. "Well, I'm gonna get back home. I'll see you later, Abby." He smiled at her. "By the way, dinner's at six."

Abby shrugged and opened the car door. "Not every time i dissappear means im getting into trouble. Most of the time though i probably am," she said jokingly and got in her car but didnt shut the door yet. "Mr. Roland i..um.." She was gonna ask if he believed in mythical creatures but she decided not to. He might think she was crazy. "Er nevermind. See you at dinner," she finished with a smile then shut her door. Starting up her car, she backed out and drove to a nearby park.
Grabbing the journal, she got out and went to go sit on the swing set. It was an old park from the looks of it and i hadnt been used in a while. So Abby sat there and delved deeper into the journal. It turns out that she had been seeing two different wolves all the time. A brown one and a white one. The brown one often prowled around her house but stayed in the woods. Abby turned the page and saw a picture of the house she was living in! It was a rough sketch but it was definitly her house. Looking around the park, Abby realized it was dark out and way past six o' clock. "Shit!" She exclaimed and shoved the journal in her jacket but before she could ge to her car, she caught the sight of sandy brown fur. Turning to look at the woods, she walked closer and was at the tree line as she peered in.

Roland lifted a brow, smiling at her as he waited for her question. When she backed out, he nodded. "Alright. See you." He smiled and got into his car, then drove off to the house. When she didn't show up for supper, though, he got concerned. The best way to find out where she was...well, that was to search for her in his other form.
It was him which she spotted in the woods, and he backed off as she started coming towards him. He hurried off, turning and racing off. He couldn't let her see him, or get too close. That would be bad.

Abby debated wether to go inside the woods or stay out. Roland said not to venture TOO far into them but he never said she couldnt go in at all. So she let her curious, adventurous side taken over and stepped into the woods. Branches got caught in her hair and bushed scratched at her legs, twigs snapped under her weight but she hardly noticed as she tried to find what had been there. After several minutes, she realized she had ventured pretty far inside the woods but she wasnt worried. Her sense of direction was excellent and she always remembered the way out of places as well as into them.
Abby sighed as she realized she wouldnt find it. Turning, she walked back out and only came out with some tiny scratches but nothing big. Walking back to her car, she tossed the journal into her passenger seat and backed out. Driving back to Maria's house, she parked and got out taking the journal with her. She was preparing herself for Roland to give her a speech or something as she walked inside.

Roland was waiting for her, arms crossed over his chest. "Abby! You're back! When you didn't come back for supper, I got so worried about you! Are you okay?" He saw the small scratches, taking her arm gently and looking at the slight scratches. "At least it's nothing more serious than this. You're lucky. Where did you go?" He looked at her for a moment, then let go of her and sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm not trying to be like a parent. I just don't want you to get hurt. You're new, and you don't know the area. What if you got hurt, or in a big fight or something? I don't want that to happen to you."
Abby just looked at him as he asked her questions and went on. An amused smile making its way to her lips. "Mr Roland i promise you im fine. I went to the park and um tripped no big deal. Im not really hungry right now but i promise to come down and eat if i do get hungry. Goodnight Mr Roland," she said and smiled before brushing past him. Heading to her room, she went in and shut the door flopping down on her bed as she opened the journal to where she left off.
Roland smiled and nodded. "Alright. Sleep well, Abby." He let her go off, and then he went to bed himself. Maria was surprised, but pleasantly so. In the morning, a knock came on Abby's door. "Breakfast! I hope you like pancakes!" There were about five people around a large table that had a big platter of pancakes and all sorts of syrups and butter. Roland, Maria, and three of the boys she'd seen before. "Pull up a seat, Abby." Roland said with a smile.
Abby looked rather sleepy when she shuffled into the kitchen as if she didnt get much sleep. Sitting in the chair next to Roland, she put her head on the table and groaned. "Stupid school.." she muttered. After a minute or so, she sat back up straight then heaped about four pancakes on her plate and drowned them with syrup and butter. Eating, she ate quickly then downed it all with some milk. Licking the milk mustache off, she got up and washed her dishes before setting them next to the sink not sure where they went. "They were amazing Maria thanks," she said as she quickly left the kitchen. She still had to wash up, put on make up and all that girly stuff. So she didnt waste time with eating like a family. Mainly because she wasnt brought up that way so it never occured to her that they might want to eat that way.
Hurrying down to her room, she went inside and shut the door resisting the urge to crawl back into bed. Going into her personal bathroom, she took a quick fifteen minute shower before drying off and getting dressed. Putting on mascara and eye liner quickly then pink lipgloss she headed back into her bedroom. Grabbing her backpack and tossing it on before grabbing her car keys and heading out the front door.

Roland ate with her, and when she went up to get ready, he left to get there for work. She needed time to get ready, and he knew that. But he'd gotten up earlier and was already ready by the time they got to the table. When he saw her at class later that day, he smiled. "Enjoying the house?" He reminded her where her seat was, then leaned back against his desk like before and started taking attendance.
Abby had seen that guy from before, the pizza delivery guy in everyone of her classes. Now he was also in her history class and sitting right next to her. He had introduced himself in her first class as Colt Willings. He had walked her to every class except history and now he was there as well. Abby smiled at Roland and nodded before taking her seat next to him. Colt leaned over to her and whispered something in her ear before sitting back in his seat. Girls had been tripping over htmeselves all day to get his attention but he was solely focused on Abby. Abby scribbled down her number on a piece of paper and handed it to him. Colt winked at her but Abby just rolled her eyes and looked to the front of the class. Flipping his black hair away from his green and yellow eyes, he looked at Abby like she was the rarest and juicest piece of meat he had ever seen. Abby had her attention else where though.
Roland didn't like how Colt looked at Abby. Like she was a piece of meat, not a person. And since he knew what Colt was, that especially didn't sit well with him. He started his class and went on with his lesson. When it was over, he walked over to Abby and smiled. "Hey, Abby. The house group decided that we wanted to go on a picnic today. Want to join us?" He smiled at her.
Abby actually payed attention today and copied down her notes. Packing up her stuff, she grinned as he mentioned a pinic and nodded. "Sounds like alot of fun. Thank you Mr Roland," she said cheerfully. Hitching her backpack farther onto her shoulder, she walked over to Colt who was waiting at the door for her. He put his arm around her waist and pulled her close. He had noticed how Roland was rather protective of her and his eyes locked with Roland's as he leant down and placed a kiss on her jaw before leading her from the class a smirk playing in his eyes. Colt walked Abby out to her car and gave her a light kiss on the lips before opening the car door for her then closing it behind her. "See you tommorow at eight?" he asked with a grin. Abby smiled and nodded then waited for him to back up before she drove out of the school parking lot. His eyes flashed yellow as he watched her leave.
Roland was very unhappy. When he saw her later, he had a very concerned look on his face. "Hey, Abby. We need to talk." He gestured for her to follow him, and he stepped aside. "What's with being all touchy-feely with the new kid? You've known him for like what, a day?" He put his hand on her shoulder. "I know I sound a lot like a parent, but when people get that intimate in the very beginning of a relationship, it...worries me." He looked away, almost guiltily. "I don't want you to get in too deep, Abby. You don't know him at all. He could be trouble. But he could be nice, too. The problem is that you don't know yet.."
Abby frowned as he went on and shrugged his hand off her shoulder. "It was just a kiss on the low cheek. No big deal," she muttered and turned away from him. Picking up the journal she checked out, she opened it up to where she left off last night and began reading. Though she never could get back into it, thinking about what Roland said. Hoping in the slightest that maybe he was jealous then she shook her head quickly to clear it. "Forget it Abs. He doesnt like you and he never will. Stop thinking that way," she murmured to herself and groaned as she realized thoughts of Roland had been slowly consuming every other thought lately. She had been looking forward to seeing him everytime she knew she would and would be anticipating the next time she would. Growling under her breath, she layed back in the grass and stared up at the blue skies. They had already eaten and now the boys were playing with Roland in the field. It was just her and Maria.
