Abby looked up at him and got an eager look in her eyes as she smiled. "I would love too!" she said happily. Once the medicine and movie was brought in, she took it and put it in her lap but looked at Roland waiting for him to tell her, the light still in her eyes.
Roland made sure she took her medicine first, then smiled and started his story. "Alright. Well...when I was younger, I was kind of.." He blushed and looked away, embarrassed. "I was a bit of a wildfire. I was rebellious, so when my parents told me not to get a tattoo...well, I totally got a tattoo." He laughed a bit. "I am really not a good rolemodel.."
He shrugged. "Anyways, I got the tattoo, right? I get home, and I start wearing shirts with sleeves to hide it for a while. I knew I'd catch hell when they found out, so even though I was a rebel, I wasn't one with a death wish. Since I was a tough guy, though, I liked to go around shirtless and show off my 'amazing muscles'. So of course my parents noticed when I started wearing shirts. One day, they found out about my tattoo. And man did they let me have it." He laughed a little.
"My dad was so mad, he beat me up. I thought I was a tough guy, but after that I knew I wasn't nearly as tough as I thought. He broke a couple bones and threatened to burn the tattoo off my skin. He didn't, though. After I got better, they begrudgingly accepted the fact that I was going to have the tattoo no matter what they said. I think secretly my dad was proud of me for not backing down even after a beating."

Abby smiled and laughed softly as he said he was a rebel. Listening to him the whole time, she frowned when he said he got a beating a worried look crossing her face. Then the journal came to mind and she thought that maybe she should ask him about it. "They seriously beat you? Hard enough to break bones? Thats some serious stuff..even my parents dont hit that hard.." she murmured the last part but that happy spark came back after she thought he hadnt heard her. "You? A rebel? Thats actually hard to believe," she said with a smile and softly laughed at the thought of rebel Roland.
Roland smirked. "It's not that hard to believe. And yeah, well, my dad was in really good shape." He got an idea, then. "Hey, wait right here!" He got up and hurried off, back very soon with a small box. He sat down beside her again and opened it. It had many photos in it. "I haven't opened this box in years." He rifled through the various photos, then picked one out and handed it to her. "There. That's me. Maria took it when I got home one day after a fight."
It was a young, teenage Roland, with nothing but ripped pants on. The young boy was beaten, bloody and bruised, and holding up a middle finger towards the camera. There was a wild grin on his face, and an even wilder look in his eyes. "I wasn't just a rebel, I was a daft idiot. I don't know why I was ever that way."

Abby smiled and laughed softly at seeing the picture. Roland looked hot even then and defintily looked like a rebel. "Okay so its more believable with a picture," she said with an amused smile as she looked back up at him her eyes had a certain light in them that told him she was really happy for once. Slowly drawing his attention away from the photo as she handed him the movie. As he got up to set it up, she slipped the photo into the journal on her bedside table. Leaning back against the headoard, she watched Roland with a smile. It felt great to know him on a personal level but she would wait for the right time to ask him what happened that was so serious.
Roland set the box aside, closing it. Then he put the movie in and sat down beside her. He hadn't gotten that box out in so long because his rebel years weren't the only pictures he had in there. He leaned back against the headboard and closed his eyes, not really watching the movie. He was feeling a bit tired. He'd been up all night, after all.
He would open his eyes a couple times, but started falling asleep soon after. His head ended up resting atop hers as he slept contently.

Abby watched the movie the whole way through and it had taken her a couple of minutes to get used to Roland's head on hers. After the movie ended, she layed him down in the bed since he seemed rather worn out. Though she kept him out from under the covers and simply got up to grab an extra blanket laying it over him to keep him warm. Then she crawled back into bed and stayed a good several inches away from him.
When Roland woke, he was absolutely startled by the fact that there was a warm body cuddled against him. When he saw it was Abby, too, he got out quickly but carefully. He stood there, brushing himself off, trying to keep from being flustered. He took in a deep breath and rubbed his face, then left the room to get relaxed. He completely forgot that he left his box of photos in her bedroom.
Abby woke up to her bedroom door being shut and she realized Roland had left. Frowning she wondered why then felt that where he had been laying she had been very very close to. Groaning softly, she cursed quietly under her breath and mentally scolded her subconcious for doing such a thing. The she noticed his box of photos, knowing she shouldnt but curiousity got the better of her. Picking up the box, she opened it and started looking through some of the pictures.
Many of the pictures were of his rebel years, obvious from his punklike appearance and the constant bruises and blood. But then there were other pictures. Pictures of a girl. A beautiful brown-haired girl. There were pretty candids, then cute face-shots. Finally, there was a picture of the two of them. Roland and the girl. They had an arm around each other, and were holding each other close and smiling happier than ever.
Then, there was a picture at the very bottom of of the box. A picture of Roland, on his knees, looking to be in complete anguish. Scrawled on the picture were the words 'Never Forget'.

Abby frowned as she got to the pictures of the girl and Roland. He looked really happy and so relaxed. So who was she? Why hadnt they gotten married or something? Then she got to the picture with him on his knees and looking so..broken. What had happened? What wasnt he forgetting? Setting the pictures back in the box, she set it down where he had set it and leaned back on the headboard mulling over her thoughts. Then a tapping at the window got her attention and she threw on her hoodie before getting out of the bed. Colt was standing there with a new note pressed against the window. "Roland told me to come back during the day. So here i am. Come outside?" it read. Abby hesitated before growling under her breath and silently leaving her room, making it as quick as possible to the front door and opening it then stepping outside in the fall air. Colt suddenly hugged her and gave her a sympathetic look. "I hate that you had to come outside to see me. I just really wanted to apologize for getting you sick. Are you okay? How do you fe-" he was cut off as Abby put her hand up to stop him. "Look Colt, your awesome and stuff but Roland made some points that i have to agree with. Im not gonna see you anymore," she said quietly. Colt froze and stared at her in shock then his eyes burned a yellow and he grabbed her arm. "Exactly what do you mean?" he growled lowly and quietly, centimeters from her face. Abby winced then gripped his wrist hard as his hold tightened making it feel like he was crushing her bone into a fine powder. "I-I mean what i sai- ow! Let go!" she hissed/whispered.
Roland was there in moments. The scent of Colt was burned into his brain, so it was easily recognized. The wrist of the hand holding Abby's wrist was grasped tightly, much tighter than he was holding hers. "What are you doing? You're hurting her, Colt." He yanked the boy's hand away, then let go. "Thank you for coming during the day. But she's sick, you need to remember that. You might have broken something, grabbing her so hard." He crossed his arms over his chest.
"You don't want to hurt someone, now do you, Colt?" Maria was standing behind Roland, then, and some of the pack were standing behind Colt, all in human form, but rather protective-looking. Colt was outnumbered. He'd come right into the 'lions den', so to pick a fight was a bad idea. Roland wanted to remind the hotheaded werewolf of that.
"Maria, why don't you take Abby inside and make sure we don't need to take her to the doctor?" Roland said. Maria nodded and put her hand on Abby's shoulder. "Come on, honey, let me see that wrist of yours."

Abby pulled her hand back quickly as Colt's grip was jerked away from her wrist. Holding it to her stomach and inspecting it over, his fingers outlined on her wrist and bruises already starting to form. She looked around as she suddenly realized there were alot of people there and they moved so fast. Taking a step back to be closer to Maria since she was a whole lot more comfortable around her.
Colt looked around then growled, anrrowing his eyes as he watched Abby disappear into the house with Maria. Waiting, he stepped closer to Roland and growled. "This is your fault. If she didnt like you so much she would have never considered listening to you. Like i said before. You. Will. Regret. This." he growled lowly then turned and marched away.
Abby let Maria take a look at her wrist. It wasnt broken but nearly so. The bruising was already started to get bad and they would have to put some ice on it.

Roland grabbed Colt by the shirt. "No. YOU will regret this. I don't care if I get beat up. It happens. I've had it. But the moment you touch my family or friends, you piss me off so much that you will wish you were dead. By the time I'm done with you, you're going to never want to even look at Abby or ANYONE in my pack ever again." He growled lowly.
"If your pack has an issue with me, tell them to stop being cowards and send their alpha out. How pathetic, sending a freshling like you to slink around like a cat. No wonder you're trying to cause a stir. Your alpha must be pitiful."

Colt growled in more of an animalistic tone then he shoved Roland away from him. The only reason he wasnt shifting her and now was because Abby, had snuck away from Maria as she went to get ice, was watching from behind Roland a confused looked coming across her features.. "A pack? An alpha?" she asked Roland. Colt watched with a smirk as he watched Abby come to a conclusion then the look of slight fear crossed in her eyes. She looked at Colt and nodded. "Yup. Abby we're werwolves," he confirmed. Abby's eyes widened and she took a stumbling step back into the house. Turning quickly, she rushed down to her room and slammed the door to her room shut. Grabbing her suitcase and backpack she packed all her stuff away even the journal. Fear knawed at her even though they had never tried to hurt her. Locking the bedroom door, she left her bags on the bed and knelt down next to it as she started coughing hard. All this action was getting to her and making her worse. But she was happy she locked the door as she leaned against the bed and finally stopped the coughing.
Roland looked over at Abby. "What? Oh, that's--" But his excuse was interrupted by...Colt. Damn. Roland's pack was on him in moments, restraining him quickly. "You just made the worst mistake of your life, Colt. You know what happens when we reveal our secret." Roland said, looking at the boy. "...you remind me a lot of myself, kid. I feel sorry for you." He sent one of the other members to tell Colt's pack what he'd just done. Roland knew it wouldn't be taken lightly. In the meantime...Roland himself had a disaster to control.
He walked up to Abby's room and knocked gently on the door. "Hey, Abby? Are you okay?" He sighed slightly. "You really bought what Colt said? Really? I think we've been watching one too many movies, Abby, if you believe in werewolves." He sighed. "I know we have a lot of wolves around here, but...werewolves? I'm just a history teacher, so I'm a stiff. But that just doesn't seem possible." Damage control. He was doing damage control. He had to get her to think Colt had been teasing her.
"Colt was messing with you. He's upset that you're not dating him. You shouldn't let him get to you, Abby. He just wants to upset you, and when you're sick that's pretty easy to do."

Colt grinned wickedly and shrugged. "She found Anna Marie's journal you know," he said as Roland started making his way back in. Anna Marie was well known in the werewolf packs around the area. She was the only human so far to be trusted and shifted into a werewolf as well as being made a female alpha.
Abby balled her hands into fists and grabbed the journal violently before standing up. Her nager blinded her as she jerked open the door ripping the doorframe as the lock was still in place. Shoving the journal hard into his chest, she looked beyond pissed. "Dont try making me feel like an idiot Roland!! I have had several clues that i havent really taken into consideration! Like you survivng a three story fall without so much as a scratch!!" she snapped at him. The turned and grabbed her bags from the bed. "Move." she said icily since he was in the way.

Roland blinked when she was so...mad. Wow. When she told him to move, however.. "I can't do that." He looked at Abby, very calm, but very serious. "Unless we take desperate measures, you're going to die. When someone let's out our secret, that werewolf dies and the knowing human dies." He looked at her carefully. "If you stay here, I can protect you. And...I can even explain it. Tell you more about it, explain some things. You just have to calm down. Alright?"
(I gotta get some sleep now. I'll post more tomorrow! )
