Through the hushed whispers of concealed cemetery visitors, whimpers and growls of canines, and other such bumps in the night, the shrill sound of a police siren screeched, shattering the eerie quiet. Blue and red lights flashed, illuminating the heavy fog that blanketed the area, but not doing much to cut through it.

A slender figure was tearing ass blindly through the fog, slipping and sliding on the damp grass. A sack was clutched in one of their hands, thrashing and bouncing around wildly as the person dashed past the cemetery fence and into the mist smeared grave yard.

Her feet almost slid out from under her more than twice as she darted blindly, some how managing to avoid toppled headstones for the most part. That was until she was passing a large, gnarled tree near the center of the cemetery. One of her black sneakers caught a root, sending the woman sprawling to her stomach with a 'oof' as the wind was knocked from her. Heaving her chest and trying to catch her breath, she rolled behind one of the crumbling grave stones, resting her back up against it.

She was dressed in a robber costume; black, long sleeved shirt, black pants that hugged her shapely legs, and a black bandits mask tied over her eyes, making the big, round, green orbs of her's seem even more alluring and mysterious. The outfit was now almost entirely soaked from the damp grass, clinging to her pale skin. Her blonde hair clung to the sides of her striking, dewy face.

Holy shit, She thought as she fought to keep her panting quiet. Way more exercise than I was looking for tonight.

She peered out from around the tombstone she was concealed behind, watching the flashing red and blue lights for a moment as they searched for her, before they began to fade in the fog as the police cruiser continued driving past the cemetery.

Once all remains of the shrill siren and flashing lights had been swallowed in the darkness and fog, Rowen let out a low whistle. She was both surprised and impressed with herself that she managed to not end up in the back of that cruiser.

"Not too shabby babe, not too shabby." She complimented herself as she used the grave stone to hoist herself up to her feet.
Devil and Deme (played by Maylee)

A white wolf came running out of the nearby woods blindly running face first into the tombstone Rowen was leaning on. Falling on the ground she looked around wildly.

The bright white fur of the wolf stood out along with her bright red eyes.

A slightly smaller male wolf with black fur peaked out from behind a tree. He walked over to the female nervously his emerald green eyes were the only thing anyone could see. As he noticed the humans he quickly darted off behind the tree again.

Both of the wolves hadn’t eaten in days resulting in them being skinny with bones poking out painfully.
Paris 'Kelly' Kelly (played by SammyHarlan)

Good news: he was 99% sure he did not know this guy.

Bad news was that he now had to back out of a lie.

"What? No!" Paris fumbled with the crumpled ball of paper, juggling it for a few seconds before managing to close his fingers on it. Oh God, was he interrupting some kind of romantic encounter? Why in a graveyard? Why- Nope. On second thought, he wasn't going to think any further on that, taking out his phone so he'd have a light to read by. The note's contents, however, sounded less like a love-note and more like a threat. His eyebrows gathered with confusion, lips curling into a frown. "No, no no no, I really didn't write this," he muttered, putting away his phone's flashlight.

Mister?

The blond man's gaze turned upwards. That was a weird way to address him, unless-

He felt something grab at his back pocket, a fearful tingle racing up his spine just in time for the wail of sirens to shatter his eardrums. "What the-!?!?" he cried, leaping closer to tall-guy as his heart jumped into his throat. There were shapes darting around in the shadows, stirring up the fog, and as the sudden racket faded, Paris took a few more steps back, unknowingly drawing closer to those shadow-drenched, angry eyebrows.

Clapping his hand over his heart, Paris looked helplessly at the kid? man? next to him. "Was that what you were waiting for?"

He really wanted to get his hands on that note. It wasn't his business, but that never stopped him before, not when he really wanted something. He started to raise his head, then dropped it quickly. Sirens. Every hair on Alf's body stood up like soldiers saluting. He felt the same way about sirens as some dogs felt about fireworks and thunderstorms. No thank you. It became hard to maintain his boulder disguise.

He dug his claws in, tucked his head until he was almost a turtle, and went very still. His expression was all rapid-fire 'no's. Alf stayed like that until the blue and red ribbons went away, and didn't blink until he was sure they were gone. He didn't like cops. He didn't like their cars, or the sounds they made. He and cops had history.

They're gone. Said the voice in his head, the calm one that usually gave him good advice and told him when an idea was stupid. That one didn't get handed the wheel as often as he would have liked.
When Rowen whistled, the rest of him stood at attention. He widened his eyes so the light could get in and looked hard. They were round and reflective, like big green marbles hanging in the air, fixed to a dark shape hunkered down on the ground like a lion about to marathon after a waterbuffalo.
He looked like a cheap Halloween decoration.
The brazen she-robber had been about to dig through her loot sack when she heard the sound of rapidly approaching foot steps, more than a bipedal thing. Through the dark, she could barely see some kind of creature-shape dashing towards her and disturbing the thick fog. She took a cautionary step backwards, aiming to reach and retrieve a fallen branch from the previously mentioned gnarled tree if the creature-shape was dashing for her. Instead, she heard a thud before it reached her. Now that it was closer, she could make out the canine figure, and it had ran head first into the grave stone she’d been taking cover behind. A dog? Someone’s big ass dog runnin’ around out here?

Watching it look about wildly as if it were stunned from its head bonk, she couldn’t help but find some amusement in it. That was short lived though, as a smaller canine figure emerged soon after.
“Hey pup, what’re you guys doin’ around out here?” She asked. But as quickly as it had come, it was soon running off again.

Rowen shook her head slightly. I should be on the level of drunk that these dogs are right about now, were her silly, mundane thoughts as she brushed moisture from the air off her pale face.

Back to the loot, she turned her attention to the ‘$’ sack, shoving a hand in and feeling around for the treasures of tonight. Among a pile of candy, and three mini vodka bottles was one police radio, one police issue taser, and one and a half donuts, a little squished from being tossed around in the sack.

Silly piggy, she thought, shouldn’ta been sleepin’ on the job. He’d only awoken and caught her when she’d gone back for the donuts in his cup holder. Damn her sweet tooth. She pulled out the half of donut and took a sugary bite, before closing up the sack and turning her big ol’ eyes to scan the dark, foggy surroundings.

So damn dark. Which way is even up? The more she thought about it, the more disoriented she became. Had she really drank that much before leaving the party, or was she just seiking herself out?
Devil and Deme (played by Maylee)

The black wolf hurried over and tried dragging the white one but failed. The female stood up and started walking running into Rowen panicking she ran off hitting a tree. The male watched and sat down watching her.

Alf could see enough of what went on down the hill to imagine two rats running circles in a maze. It looked like dogs, probably abandoned. They bumped around the graveyard like a flies nearing the end of their life.
Nature's way. He wasn't going to do anything about it. He was a monster, not a spot-medic, and he wasn't a vegetarian to make a statement. Alf had a sort of let nature run its course mentality when it came to animals.

Speaking of...

He looked at Paris and Reece again, then down the way at the fuzzy figure. He blinked once. He'd come to the graveyard to be a nuisance, not babysit a delinquent and an accident prone cowboy. He was going to 'investigate'. That is, stalk up to it and decide if it was worth scaring for points.

Alf got up. He stayed on all fours, and bearishly snuck to the next scatter of tombstones big enough to hide behind, then peeked over them.

"Oi!" He huffed, in his deep, gravel and growling tone. "Whatcha got there?"
Rowen had found herself mildly distracted by the famished canines, running around like chickens with their heads chopped off.
Ha, what is up with these things..., she thought with minor amusement.

Because she had been distracted, the sudden sound of a voice from behind scared her all the more. She nearly jumped out of her skin, but instead slipped on the wet grass because of her jolt and landed on her rear. The half munched donut was squished into the grass under her hand, causing her to groan dramatically in anger.

She turned the fierce glare under her bandits mask in the direction of the figure crouching behind a grave stone as she struggled to stand herself up on the slick ground.

“Hey man,” She growled. “What the hell do you think you’re doin’, sneakin’ up on ladies in a cemetery? You some kind of weirdo creep?”

She snatched up her ‘$’ from the ground and whipped back to face the hunched male.

Crap, this is one big dude...
Yaritza (played by CoronelCoscacho)

It took her a while to realize that the graveyard's mausoleums just might not be the trick or treating hotspot her classmates told her it was.

After the third or fourth walk through the different mausoleum, and a sore hand due trying to knock on the concrete and marble doors, she realized she had been fooled. It was annoyed to admit to have been played by a species whose intelligence was considered by many others as highly inferior (and more than once, one could add), but she contempt by reminding that not all humans where the same. Although, of the merellian council was to send her classmates to the calcium mines, she wouldn't complain…

But that wasn't important. She should find the way back outside if she wanted to keep on trick or treating! After all, she had to study humankind’s habits, right? Then what better way to do so than joining them!... Which, was Yaritza’s excuse with her superiors. The alien kid be lying if she said that the idea of getting candy for wearing a costume didn't sound like the coolest thing in the galaxy.

After walking in between the tombstones for a while, she was able to see a duo of adult humans talking to each other. A female and a male, the seemed, although the latter was a bit difficult to see. She adjusted her glasses to see the duo better, but the sensors seemed to flicker. Maybe they where breaking? Regardless, she knew that adult humans helped youger humans, so the girl decided the wiser thing was to approach and ask for help.

“Excuse me…” She called out to the two of them once she was close enough, lifting the hem of her witch hat to see them clearly. “Do you know where the exit is?...Or have any candy?”

FINALLY, satisfaction. He'd spooked someone. He could end his day feeling like he was still scary. Then she ruined it.

"I'm not a perv." Alf declared from behind heavy eyebrows, like he wasn't sure. Paris had explained to him what a perv was, but he was still wrapping his head around what all the word entailed. If they'd handed him a pomegranate, he'd have gotten it on the spot, but that was how it went. He was from another world, where context included fruit.

The graves were doing a fair job obscuring him, but he couldn't help raising his head. He was a big boy, too. A very big boy, who had balled himself up in such a way that his hands and feet were gone. He was loafing. Just like a house cat. He looked at the bag again.
"Well, what is it?"

His theoretical cat ear flipped to the side and he ducked down until he was good and boulder shaped again, giving Yaritza owl eyes. He didn't know who she was talking to. He was still making leaps to maintain his hiding spot.
Devil and Deme (played by Maylee)

The male wolf trotted up to Paris and Reese cautiously. Since his fur was so dark black they could only see his bright emerald green eyes.

When he got there he got down on his belly and inches between them before looked up at them suggesting the fact that he wanted to be pet and was once tamed by humans.

Looking like a big black puppy his tail wagged hitting Paris’s foot. He dropped the object he had taken from Paris’s pocket and nudged it towards Resse’s shoe.
Monk (played anonymously)

Thup thup thup!

Monk's plush little feet left impressive prints. He was a chubby thing. Perfectly round in all the right places, with eyes crossed slightly inward, and ears with rounded tops that almost folded over his forehead.
Monk was a cat, a brown one, and he was on a mission.

"MAAASTTEEEER!" He turned in place. "Master?" The second time was a little more hopeful.

Then he saw it. Le gasp. A dog. An unholy. Bothering a sacred human! Improper! Blasphemer! How dare! His tail barreled. He would fix this. He set his path for the black wolf.
Rowen squeezed the bag in her hand, internally debating how she should handle going about with this looming hulk huddled behind a grave. Was this normal? Did she really care? She just wasn’t sure.

“Halloween treats,” She answered finally, shifting her weight from one soggy, black sneaker to the other. Goosebumps ran rampant along her pale skin in the dark night, under the blanket of thick, cold fog.
Damn, getting chilly. Gonna freeze my ass off out here.

While in a confrontation with a rather large, unknown figure crouching behind a grave in a pitch dark cemetery, the cold should be the last on someone’s mind. But, this was Rowen. Her priorities weren’t the most organized.

Off to her side, she could hear the squelching of the wet grass being stepped on, giving away that someone was approaching. From under the veil of fog, Rowen could barely make out a small figure, with a pointy witch hat. Some kid? What the heck was some kid doing way out here?

Vague memories of high school Halloween’s where she and her brother would trick the younger or more naive kids to come way out here for parties and treats, then either scare or just leave them out in the cemetery alone filmed through Rowen’s mind. She snorted quietly in amusement.

She squinted her big ol’ eyes, trying to make out more of the costumed child in the dark fogginess. The exit? Shit, where was the exit? Looking around herself, she couldn’t tell which way was which. Everything looked like the exact same scene of darkness and fog, with scatterings of silhouetted gravestones.

“Uhh...” She mumbled, her thin eyebrows furrowing under her bandit’s mask. Moving on to the next, and more easier option, she shoved a hand into her ‘$’ sack, thrusting it around amongst her treasures. “I got some candy.” She declared, gripping a fist full of the tooth rotting delicacies.
Devil and Deme (played by Maylee)

The bright white furred female heard talking and slowly approached Yaritza. She nudged Zaritza’s hand with her nose.

The males tail kept wagging as he looked up at them with his beautiful bright green emerald eyes.
Yaritza (played by CoronelCoscacho)

The alien's eyes squinted under her glasses. The sensors on them clearly indicated that there was a male and a female humans in the area, but the first was becoming harder to distinguish. Maybe it was one of those marble-based structures...statues she had seen before. There seemed to be quite a lot at the cementery, but her sensor never recognized them as humans, thought...

The sound of the woman's mumbling caught her attention, making her tilt her head as she watched rummage through her bag. "Candy!" Her eyes lit up at the mention of the sugary treats, her hands holding tightly on her pumpkin (witch was, actually, a dried gourd). "Could you give me some, please?"She asked, her eyes fixed on the fistful of caramels. So much that she didn't realized the wolf's presence until it's nose nudged her hand.

"Huh?...Hello!" She greeted the animal, looking at it almost as she expected an answer. the sensors on her glasses marked the words "CANNIS LUPUS" on bright red. Cannis...That meant it was a kind of dog, wasn´t it? She didn't really paid much attention to terrestial life from earth, exepting humans. Calmly, she patted the wolf's head with her hand a few times a bit clumsily, trying to repeat the way that humans on the street usually pet their dogs.
Devil and Deme (played by Maylee)

The females wolf wagged as she pet it as if she was a puppy. Her ears twitched at the talking.

The males tail slowly stopped wagging and he whined.
(Such a cute little alien character. Well done.)

Rowen wasn’t the most self-less lady in the world, not even close. And she did have quite the insatiable sweet tooth herself, making her hesitant in handing over some of her loot. Youre a grown ass woman, you can go buy yourself more candy. She told herself, before holding out the fistful of candy to the child.

The movement of the dogs caught her eye, and she had to squint to see them more clearly in the dark. Those drunk dogs again!

“Hey, are those your’s?” She asked the child, before cocking her head to the side slightly, back towards the huddled figure behind the gravestone. “Or ... your’s?” She asked the man.

If she’d tried hard enough, she would’ve convinced herself that there was really no person behind the grave stone. Looking now, with him being so still and hunched, it really could just be some sort of graveyard object or boulder. Had she imagined the voice? Nah, it had scared the bejesus out of her, she didn’t make that up. And it seemed that the little witch girl was also peering in that direction, so maybe she was seeing him too.

What a weird ass situation...
