"Now, Vega. What do you see here?"

"....."


Vega Solace isn't what you would call.. loud. He isn't energetic, either. He's not jumpy, or social, or even expressive at the least bit. In fact, he's mute. The boy has never spoken since he was eight years old. The reason why, he never told. How could he, really? Though the boy does communicate through sign language, he never really resorts to using it, since the only other people who could understand him was his family members and therapist, along with a shrivel of students from his school that never bother to speak with him anymore. That being said, Vega does wishes he could have someone, anyone, to talk with. And to get along with. Someone that he could listen to, and just sit and spend a day with. Though of course, that wouldn't happen. But it still didn't stop him from hoping.
Vega's only admirarion, however, comes from the planet surrounding us. He shows a great interest in space, and he loves being aware of how the world really works, and imagining what other things could be out there. Maybe someone he could talk to? Maybe there was a person waiting for him, ready to befriend him?
He didn't know, really, but he did know one thing: he loved space. Nothing else peaked his interests quite like it.

Moving back to the boy at the moment, Vega was sat down in his therapist's office. They only reason he was really put in therapy was because of his decision to go mute. He never spoke anymore, and his parents wanted to know what was the reason behind it. Though, of course, he never told why. Not even through sign language did he share any clues.
"Ah, right. Nevermind that question, then. How are you doing today, Vega?"
And yet again, silence. A silence a knife could cut through with the tangible tension in the air. It was always like this. Vega sitting still, hands in his lap, and eyes firmly planted on his therapist. It was as if he wanted to say something. He was desperately wanting to shout and be heard, but alas, nothing came out. Nothing ever came out. His therapist sighed at the silence he was given, though already knew he wouldn't get anything from the boy, as he never did for the past nine years. He let his eyes rest on the boy, making Vega uncomfortably squirm in his seat, before breaking the eye contact and glancing away. Being obviously shy, Vega never liked making too much contact with people. He could look at someone, yes, but once they stared right back at him, he retreated. It gave him too much to think about, staring into another person's eyes, so he never bothered to keep looking.
His therapist frowned, before finally coming to a conclusion. If he couldn't get anything out of the boy, what if someone else could?
"How about.. we get you a friend?"
Vega blinked, looking back at his therapist, concern and disbelief coloring his expression. Finally, he decided to use his sign language to communicate.

'What?'

Aight so I was looking to start a roleplay with Vega here, since it'd be really interesting to see how he develops a friendship with a new person. Obviously, as the story goes, his therapist assigns him someone he has to get to know, and eventually an actual friendship is formed. Romance could fit in, if the character ends up falling further than just a friend for him, and I'm sure the feelings would be mutual. This will most likely be a long-term roleplay, and I'm asking that whoever chooses to roleplay with me would provide at least a couple of paragraphs. One-liners aren't really my kind of thing, so you have my apologies on that. MxF and MxM are both fine with me, as I have no preference either way. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, and I look forward to starting some roleplays.

Maybe Willow or Jax? Jax and Vega both share an admiration for space, though Willow and Vega both relate with therapy and all, so Willow could be issued from another therapist to Vega's.

They both look like they could work, though my vote goes to Ayumi. One of her likes is science, which keys perfectly with Vega's love for space. They'd have some more things in common with that, though, either one would be great.
