The cravings. They rocked Roman Dracula's body, sending tremors down his spine and a sickening chill to spread throughout his body. For a vampire to go three weeks without a drop of human blood, it was like a drug addict trying to go sober. They want to quit so desperately, but the minute the cravings return they feel like they're dying. Though the difference was, Roman really was.
The teen vampire sat in the corner of the small house he had stumbled across in the woods. Sure, he knew that breaking into a house just to seclude himself from humans wasn't going to fly well with the cops, but he didn't want to hurt anybody. The thought alone had him half keeled over, trying not to vomit.
He knew he would have to feed sooner or later, but really, he was almost hoping that he would just sit there and die. He didn't care if it was a slow, painful death. It was much better than the crushing weight of the guilt he felt whenever he ripped somebody's life away so simply. He hated it. He despised it.
The sound of the wooden front door creaking open slowly had Roman on high alert, glowing red eyes peering through the darkness to watch as a figure stepped through the doorway.
Feeling frantic, and not wanting to kill anymore, Roman shouted through agonized sobs, "Don't come in here!" He didn't care if the person was the owner of the house, he couldn't let them get hurt. "Run away from here! I don't want to-" He couldn't finish because a shooting pain filled his chest and he cried out, gripping at the left side of his chest where his heart was.
(Your character can be human or vampire or any other humanoid, it can be female or male or anything in between. Just because somebody else responds, don't think that you can't respond! It just has to be a separate rp! )

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Iron age
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
