Pokemon Trainers (played by KansasVenomoth)

As the title implies, I'm looking to do an Eternal Sonata RP with a few people. The plot's gonna be be similar that of what was in the game, so unless you wish to spoiled, I'd recommend you avoid the RP. I don't care if you use an OC or canon characters, I'll be taking care of Jazz, Falsetto, and Tuba. Please keep your posts at a minimum of three sentences.

Combat will be written out and dice will be used to determine the outcome of a battle. An even number means you have succeeded in your battle, an odd number means it isn't quite over yet.

I'll be closing this to newcomers once we end up reaching the second battle with Tuba. PM me with any questions.

It was a dull morning in the beautiful city of Ritardando, the young floral powder merchant of the nearby Tenuto Village was making an attempt to make a few sales of her village's signature product. "Won't you try one of Tenuto's famous floral powders? They work wonders, they heal all kinds of aliments!" Polka spoke in a cheerful tone, hoping it would attract at least a couple customers. People have been buying the floral powders less ever since the new fangled mineral powders came to be. The mineral powders were cheaper and had a much higher production rate, with many of its users praising its high success rate.

Many people ignored Polka's attempts at a sale, except for one woman. "Sorry, honey. Since mineral powders hit the market, people just haven't been needing the floral powders anymore. You're wasting your time." She stated, waving as she headed off towards who knows where, leaving behind a distraught and discouraged Polka. She wanted to make her mother happy with the income generated by sales of the floral powders, but shat the woman said was true, they just weren't needed anymore. The high taxes on the floral powders only added to their list of depressing woes.

Tempo quietly listened to the conversation between Polka and the woman, sighing. The man with the sword and shield had been friends with the young merchant since they were both young and he harbored a deep love for Polka, though he's never been successful in coming out with his feelings. Pitying the defeated Polka, he gently pat her shoulder. "Don't worry, Polka... We'll make some sales soon." Tempo assured her with a smile. "If anything, why don't we just go to Forte and see what we can do about the taxes on the mineral powder?" He suggested.

Polka took the idea into consideration, "You think the Count will listen to us? We're just a couple of kids." She reminded her secret admirer. Just as the girl was about to open her mouth, a fight broke out nearby. In response, Tempo prepped himself for a potential battle. In the past few years, he'd grown increasingly protective of Polka, especially after learning of her magic disease. He wanted to make sure her last moments in the world were in peace.

Incoherent and unintelligible shouts reverberated around the city square as two men squabbled over some unimportant nonsense. At first, it was just a verbal confrontation, but it quickly turned physically as they slugged at each other, until one fell down a small flight of stairs. His body reacted pretty negatively to the fall, as his leg and potentially several other parts of his body were injured.

Concerned, Polka rushed over to the injured man, prompting Tempo to follow behind her. "Are you alright?" She asked in a concerned tone. In an attempt to help her, she used the strange magic. Raising her hands over the man, a soft, green light shined for several moments as the man's injuries healed. After several moments, the healing process was finished and just a thing in the past. "There.. How's that feel?" The girl asked happily.

The man moved his leg in a surprised fashion before looking up at Polka in a fearful manner. "S-Stay away.. D-Don't touch me!" The man jerked up, running from her. The crowd surrounding them also dispersed, while a child watched. "Whoa! Did you see that, mommy? That girl was glowing!" He stated, attempting to approach only to pulled away from his mother. "Don't you ever go near anyone that can use magic like that girl. Do you understand me?" The mother's tone was harsh. The child pouted before hesitantly heading off with his mother.

Polka remained kneeling in a saddened silence. Tempo gently hugged her, not sure what he could say at this point. They remained like that for several seconds before deciding it'd be a good idea to return home before Polka's mother became worried.
