Nalani sat on top of a building, looking over some information in a folder. Her next target was a man ordered to be killed on sight and bring in the body. The hit had been ordered by an anonymous person so she couldn't figure out why this person had a hit out on this person. She sighed before looking at the sky. Her blue crystal horn glowed slightly from the moonlight along with her aqua eyes. She had no weapons and very little armor to protect her.

Vergil was walking down the street minding his own business, a katana sheathed in his left hand. No one dared to run into him unless they wanted to keep their lives. A demon ran out of a building with a woman's child in hand and ran in Vergil's direction, without a second of thought a click noise was heard from Vergil, be slid his katana back into his sheath. He moved so fast that you couldn't even see him move.

The demon cut in half and turned into ashes, the kid slid down the path towards him and instead of doing anything Vergil just walked on. The child stood up Watched him walk away, not knowing weather to thank him or hit him so he did neither. His mother ran out with tears in her eyes

"I don't care much for you both, but a mother should never be denied her child" Vergil whispered to himself.

Nalani looked at the commotion and saw that the man she had been ordered to kill was walking her way. She said nothing as she watched him. She wondered if he could sense her.

In his time he'd seen too much, felt toouch pain, pain no child should feel and yet he was put through it, Vergil looked up at Nelani, he did nothing but instead he vanished and re appeared behind her "why are you watching me, you're certainly no demon or human"

Nalani didn't even react to his disappearing act. Instead she simply stretched, her blue crystal horn dimming slightly." I have my reasons." Her voice was soft and light with a hint of no emotion to it.

"I suggest you stop following me, if you want to live" his cold voice would normally send shivers down spines. As he turned the air around him became cold, how is it that a half breed devil can make the surrounding air cold?. He stepped off the building and fell landing gracefully on the pavement.

"What life is there to care about?" She said to herself before jumping off the building as well and landing a few feet from him." Tell me something. Why would someone have a hit out on you and ask to let one of the most deadliest of assassins to deal with you?" Nalani looked at him.

Vergil's hair fell over his face, there was a gap in his hair which revealed a blood shot red eye "because everyone that has faced me has died, even the arch angel, the devil Lucifer is no match for me" he ran his hands through his hair to return them to their original backward spiked form. "if your the deadliest assassin, then maybe you will witness my blade Yamato unsheathed" nobody in hell or earth has seen his Katana fully unsheathed.

"if you have a family, then leave. I have no quarrel with you" his voice was slightly pained as he said family.

"I have no family. My older brother hates me and my parents think I'm a waste of space." Nalani's eyes flashed with pain and hatred but it went away quickly." But why do I care? They are nothing but a bunch of idiots." Her eyes closed before opening and looking at Vergil." Thier hate made me who I am and I plan to show them the damage they have caused."

Anger slowly bubbled up inside Vergil as she said she hated her family "foolish girl, you try not reason with your family!? Having a family is better than non at all..." Vergil grasped Yamato tighter trying not to let his rage take over "just get out of my sight" he waved her off then turned to walk away his anger building up every second he stayed.

"I think not. I'm the assassin." Her horn glowed blue." Besides, my family won't listen to me. My father never wanted a girl in the first place and my mother thinks I'm a monster because of the way my other form looks. My brother never forgets to remind me that I'm a failure." SHe watched Vergil." I became an assassin so I wouldn't be the failure, so I wouldn't be the odd one." SHe looked at the ground." I want to be a part of my family but they won't let me. They cast me aside like I'm trash."

Vergil didn't even stop instead he carried on "so what?! I didn't ask for your life story anyway" he ran his hand through his hair returning it back to its normal backwards spiked form "leave if you value your life" the air shifted from cold to warm, the warmth even made the floor slightly black from each step he took.

Nalani glared at him before holding out her hand and creating a barrier in front of him." I care not for my life. I did say I am an assassin and I do have information to kill you on sight. Give me a reason to kill you and I will but I'd rather you help me find the person who has ordered your death."

Vergil felt his anger raise even more as she made a barrier in front of him but was still able to keep it in "don't... Don't do that or you will lose both you arms before you could raise a finger" his eyes red as he turned to face her. He could've easily broken the barrier with Yamato but decided to hear her out.

"I bet it was Lucifer's demon, they've been hunting me since I was a child" He glared at her with anger in his eyes, a little less than before.

"Lucifer? I'm guessing you ticked him off really bad." Nalani looked at the sky, thinking." If I knew what kind of demon it was, I could probably track it." She looked back at Vergil." And don't threaten me again."

"I can threaten you if I want to" Vergil said in a mad tone, he became much less angrier than he was "it doesn't matter what I did, I don't give a damn abou Lucifer... One day... I'm going to kill him myself and take over hell" Vergil got up close to her stopping a meter away then held the tip of Yamato's sheath up to her neck "just one movenout of line... Then your arms will be the least of your worries..." his voice became quite... That memory... That night... Haunting him again...

Nalain held no fear in her gaze as she looked at Vergil. Holding out her hand, she made a sliver of light cut her hand. Instead of red blood coming out, silverr blood dripped down her hand."Then do it already. You are right about me being not human or demon. I have no life to live."

Vergil lowered the sheath then turned around "it's an arch angel, an arch angel that follows Lucifer" the air slowly returned to normal, his power was truly immense. He stared into her eyes not showing any emotion but just by looking you can see a broken shell of a man...lost to the world and people in it...

"Well unless you want any more trouble, I suggest we start looking for this arch angel." Nalani looked at the ground, not liking the look in his eyes.

Vergil looked at her, then looked away. A tear escaped his eye but his face still held no emotion "it's probably Luther..." he started to walk the opposite direction until eventually they both reached a forest cut off from civilisation.

"I'm going home to train and get ready, follow me if you want" his voice cold and deep.
