His eyes glanced down at the smaller dragon. He did not reply in words, but with a slight burst of chilly air from his nostrils. It was meant to be a greeting, not a threat. But for now, most of his attention was focused on the village. He had lived in the mountains for countless years, but rarely visited the valleys below.
With his dragon-sight, he spotted two people would gained his interest. A female with golden hair, clad in what the humans called armor, and a bearded man that stood with her. With his attention mainly focused on them now, he folded his magnificent purple wings against the white scales of his sides.

Kino was both afraid and amaze at the same time because of both the beauty and fierce looking dragon he have seen with his whole life. He slowly reaches to his axe and he was shaking while unsheathed it.
“Sir Kino, don’t threaten it.” Katja warned, putting her hand out. Staring back at the beast that was resting in the field, she sighed a bit, “I...I don’t think we’ll be facing any trouble for right now. It seems...calm. This isn’t the one that attacked...and judging on the fact there is no more smoke coming from those trees...” she pointed towards the previously burning forest, “This dragon has put it out. Perhaps we have an ally here...”
Or at the very least, they shared a common enemy.
Katja pulled off a glove and raked her fingers through her hair, gazing around the small town. Most citizens had remained inside, with this new dragon perched so close by, and she sighed faintly. She would rest outside tonight, to make sure no attack would occur without resistance.

Kino felt relieve after hearing what she said. He sheathed back his axe and take to to regain reliefness in his chest. " Well I hope that dragon is not gonna back stab us once we turn around. I am not telling if that dragon has a good motivation to save this town." He stretch his body and scratch his beard.
"I think this town can sleep peacefully..." He pack his bag and his belongings "I guess Ill be staying here for tonight and continue my travel tomorrow morning." He started to walk to nearby in and took a rest from the tired travels he has.

The dragon would watch for a few more moments before laying his head in the grass. From the village he looked like a great white mountain. As he lay there, his eyelids steady became heavier, and eventually closed into a fitful sleep.
Katja had found a farmer willing to let her rest in the hay bales, a sleeping place she found often. She was not here for comfort or for travels; Katja was here to be rid of this fire-breathing dragon, and she took her duties seriously. Sleeping outside allowed her quick access to her horse if needed, as well as a good ability to hear if anything went on.
That would be needed later in the night.
She managed a few hours of restless sleep, the pain in her burned leg and of her broken bones, and the illness she would not mention kept her from sleeping well at all; she stirred just before dawn, and began to wipe down her armor to reveal its gleaming, though scratched surface. Katja was warm with the fog of sleep still acting on her, so nothing seemed to worry her when the horses began to pace.
It wasn’t until the first squeal that she bothered to look up, and the great beast, with wings black as night, flew overhead. The mother had returned.
“DRAGON!!!” She roared; she hadn’t had the time to put on her armor, only securing her sword on her waist and her shield on her arm, tearing down the main road and repeating her call; the dragon had returned, and this time it was targeting the city.

Kino was awake by the roar of Lady Katja. He quickly look at the window and saw that dragon. He grab his black bow and quiver and axe. Then he rush to her" What's going on Lady Katja?"
Quickclaws had laid beside the other dragon, noticing his lack of speech. He felt honoured to be accepted or, at the very least, not given a literal cold shoulder. In the end, he drifted off and almost fell asleep... Until he heard wingbeats followed by screaming.
He snapped his head up and whipped it towards the village and bore witness to a much larger dragon, heading for the populated area. Was this the chance he had been waiting for? Probably not. But may as well go and check things out. And so he did, being careful not to take flight yet to prevent more commotion.

His red eyes snapped upon upon hearing the shouting, and the steady wingbeats. His upper lip curled up in a low growl that rumbled through his body. The great white beast raised his head to look for the approaching dragon, and saw it above the village. He would then got to his feet, and slowly stalked towards the village and the attacking dragon. His low rumble of a growl still sounded in his chest as his claws dug gouges in the ground.
“We’ve gotta face this thing, it seems—!” Katja just tore back towards the horses now, sprinting for her own and swinging up onto its back smoothly. With one sharp motion she dug her heels into into the horse, and it reared up on its hind legs, before taking off.
She needed to find a way to get the creature away from above the city. If it died and fell onto these buildings— or worse, started spitting fire, then there would be serious casualties. She turned to look at Kino, “Grab a horse! We need to lure the dragons away!” Dragons now; she saw the white one, stalking towards them. This was not her ideal situation at all, she had only wanted to fight one of these creatures. She had yet to notice Quickclaws, but when she did Katja would not be pleased at all.
Katja started to ride towards the woods, “Sir Kino, use your arrows, but don’t aim to kill— if it falls on this village these people will die. Aim for the bottoms of his legs. And follow me!”
This was what made Katja so good at what she did. Even under pressure, even scared, Katja was cool and collected. This was courage to her, bravery when facing even the gravest of odds.

Kino quickly mounted a grey horse and follow Lady Katja to the forest. Whe the horse is leading to the wood, Kino aim his bow and arrow at the leg of the dragon. His arrows didn't inflict any damage. "This aint good....tits skin is more 3 times the iron...If only if there where balista to inflict more damage."
Kino didn't look on his way that his head was hit by a tree branch. He fell on the ground while the horse keep going without him. He tries to stand up quickly before the Dragon spotted him.

He continued to stalk forward, yet his growls weren't aimed at the villagers. In fact, they were aimed at the other dragon. To attack smaller creatures so much weaker then they were, he found that utterly despicable. As he reached the edge of the village, he stopped. His gaze still focused on the she-dragon in the air. He lifted a front paw, his claws flexing and clenching in anger.
Oh boy oh boy I am not ready for this...
Continuing to stealthily creep, it wasn't until the horse took off that Quickclaws had to mimic its gallop. It wasn't the brightest move but he would be easier noticed flying.
One of the humans mounted their horse only to fall off a bit afterwards. He was falling behind.
Acting under pressure, he did a rather idiotic move: he came out of hiding, slid his snout under the human and galloped after the horses as smoothly as his legs would let him.
To be fair, he wasn't that big to begin with: it would've taken two bites to eat the average human. But that didn't stop him from trying to help, though, depending on what the human was like, his situation could end up a lot worse...
(Edit)
Before he could notice, Quickclaws brought him closer and lowered him again, judging his own opinions.

The mother dragon turned to gaze only for a moment at this strange white one; she flared her nostrils and let out a snort, smoke pouring from them.
She was a mother. Normally she remained dormant, but when she had her child, it was wild and curious, and had gone out to try and play with the humans and their animals. But what mother would sit by when Knights came to hunt her only child? No, she would not.
Her yellow eyes focused on Kino for a moment, but he hadnt been the one to come after her. No, it was the white horse, with the golden haired rider. That was the one who had come for her child. The beast let out a fiery roar, and Katja shreiked herself, jerking the reigns to the side to avoid the blast; it took her off her horse and she went rolling into the dirt, her horse already sprinting off wildly.
“G-Good god!!”

Kino manage to see from afar that lady Katja feel on her horse. He look up in the sky and saw the dragon flying. He was thinking what to do that even his arrows cannot break through the iron scales of the mother dragon.
He was thinking of giving up until he saw an old Balista that was covered with mosses. Kino went to it and examine the Balista, he know this would be good enough to pierce to its skin. He push the Balista and positioned it in a perfect place where no trees blocking. He carried the large rusted arrow and place it on the Balista.
He pull the string real hard and lock it. He double check everthing and he though to himself " I hope this will work and this is only one shot to do it."

Racing towards the female, Quickclaws let out a blast of flames directed towards the mother in hopes of stunning her, as his' species' fire wasn't as hot as it was bright. Thinking on his feet, he leaped, grabbed the human and combat-rolled into cover, still praying that the mother was stunned just enough to not currently know where they were. Once covered, he opened his wings and claws, examining the human for injuries.
Katja had been doing pretty well during this fight, for someone being chased down by a giant beast such as a Dragon. She felt like she had kept it together well.
Above, the dragon let out a deep rumble of a roar, soaring higher into the sky, above the clouds; it wouldn’t try to fight blinded as it had been by Quickclaws fire. But there was only so much time they had before her sight was restored and she came back.
Quickclaws was really testing the upper limits of Katja’s willpower. She stared, wide-eyed at the dragon above her; while it was smaller, and probably young, she had lost her blade when he rolled them away, and without her armor, she was practically defenseless. Her injuries were minor, assorted scrapes and bruises on her legs, arms and face, besides for a deep slash wound across her arm, seemingly from falling on a stone when she rolled away.

Kino witness that Quickclaw stun the beast and protected Lady Katja as he ran to her. "Lady Katja are you alright? Is this beast hurting you?" He turns his head to Quickclaw that he immediately pull out his bow and arrow.
Kino wasn't sure enough if this dragon (Quickclaws) is a friend or a foe. He aim his arrow at it and asked "Tell me...are you a friend or a foe?" His hands were sweating and his legs are shaking.

Shifting uncomfortably, he struggled with words, as it would sound like nonsense to the humans.
Instead, he took a step back and bowed his head respectfully, hoping they got his message. Every now and then, his eyes would drift from the arrow to the ground, quite wondering what a fatal arrow would feel like.

Kino examine the gesture of Quickclaw that he lower his bow. "I Guess your not of those type of dragons..." he take a deep breath and look at it with a normal expression. He ask It" Tell me...why you helping Lady Katja? I know you can't speak but can you gesture your answer for me?"
