Long term sci-fi roleplay with about five people. Romance welcome, combat possible.
Khaaris is easily one of the most unpleasant but still livable planets in the known galaxy. That's why most of the galaxy's inhabitants use it as a prison for their less lawful citizens. Unfortunately, there are no restrictions present to restrict who gets put down there. People strand their enemies down there, they dump the people they don't want to care for, people they need out of the way--with no consequences. No one goes to the planet's surface willingly. It is dangerous as they come--with vicious wildlife, contaminated water, poisonous plant life, violent weather, and even more violent people.
Thea Ionnou was stranded on the surface a year ago by supposed pirates that murdered her husband and six-year-old daughter. However, her daughter might not be as dead as she was lead to believe. She needs to get off of Khaaris, but she's going to need help to pull it off.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (faster than light)
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
