I just read over all the suggestions in this thread, and so many of them just crack me up. Plus I'm now brimming with ideas for ways to try and make the site easier to use.

There were so many fantastic suggestions in this contest, I deliberated every day far past the deadline and still just couldn't narrow it down to first, second and third place. Finally, I have given up trying to pick my very favorites, and instead present to you all the entries which will today be joining the ranks of new Did You Know hints. Some of them have been rewritten slightly, but the nougatty center still remains the same.

I wanted to include a whole lot more of these, there were SO many funny suggestions. Unfortunately, too many funny comments runs the risk of drowning out actually helpful hints, so we have to limit ourselves. I forced myself to pick these because they had some of the widest appeal. All the star wars and star trek references and such just about made me fall out of my chair, though.

We had some "ties". In these cases, more than one user suggested a Did You Know Hint for the same feature, and I ended up using the idea to talk about the feature without using the specific phrasing any of the people suggested.
Dragonfire, f0x1nth3b0x and CelestinaGrey suggested mentioning the ability to roll dice.
CelestinaGrey and f0x1nth3b0x both had different suggestions for Forum Chat.
So, we have five people who suggested winning hints, and a selection of prizes. Since we didn't pick first through fifth place to determine who gets what, let's interject some randomness into the process. Some you already knows how this works.
I'm going to announce a prize, and then someone will roll a six sided die for us. Whichever number it lands on is the number of the winner from the list above.
Remember, only one prize per person, so if we have a repeat, we have to keep rolling until we get a new person.
