I'm needing to resize a gif. More, the canvas of said gif, that's animated, not the actual image itself.

I don't have a program to do this, I don't have money to purchase said program to do this, and..please do not direct me to free online gif resizing things. They don't do what I need.

I just need the canvas size bigger, not the image, as said. And to keep the animation. Does anyone have a program to do this that would be willing to do this for me? I'm not really looking to download a free trial of a program or anything to do it myself. I'll never use it for anything lol, other than this one thing, and learning a new program I have 0 patience for right now.

If I understand what you want, you can do this on GIMP (free program) very easily.

1) 4drM26G.gif
Open the starting gif.

2) V6muhwv.png
Image-> Canvas Size and adjust as required

3) GYxXPC1.png
Export as gif. When the box pops up check 'As Animation'. Depending on the gif you may also need to change the option to 'One Frame Per layer' (if there's any transparency will be probably be unusable without this)

4)opEBMmY.gif
The new gif now with plenty of empty space.

I did state that I'd rather not have to download any programs, free or not. GIMP..I've had it a few times in the past and all it did was make me want to throw things. I guess if I have to download the crap and do it myself I'll try. Later though, I'm going to bed. If I can't get it to work, I'll be back to report such. If I do..probably report that too. GIMP just....ugh... -_-

Ok. You apparently didn't read where I clearly stated not to do this kind of thing. I've been to that site. Guess what I couldn't do there?

I need to resize the canvas, not the entire gif.

Trying really hard to be halfway nice here because this answer made my blood boil...

I have a program where I could change the canvas size of each picture, but turning it back into a gif may prove to be a little difficult for me, as it's a drawing program.
Hmm,I thought there was a canvas resizing option.

Fwiw, your response was incredibly rude. I offered help. I wasn't attempting to ignore parts of your post, but maybe it wasn't helpful anyways. Sorry about that. If genuine help (useful for your particular situation or not) gets your hackles up, please consider asking a friend directly instead of lashing out at strangers. This behaviour isn't acceptable.
Good morning. Moderator stepping in to ask y'all to cool your jets a bit--both sides. If responses are making heat and getting heated, step away from the screen and cool off before posting. There are politer ways to rebuff and respond.

I wish there was a like button.

If you need someone to change the canvas size for you, send me a PM with the original gif and which dimensions you need it set to, I'll get that taken care of you as soon as I can.
Just popping back on to apologize for the less than friendly rebuff. Fayeth, I hope one of the folks who answered can help. Apologies for being terse; your response felt kind of hurtful and I reacted instead of letting it go.

Next time, if you don't find a comment helpful, could you maybe skip over it without comment or send a PM to ask for clarification? I promise I wasn't attempting to bait you, I was just responding from my phone on the bus to work, so thought I'd keep it super to the point.
