So I'm me and this is about me I suppose. I'm rather new to this whole thing, although I've been playing role-play for a long time. Until now mostly on rpol.net where I've had quite a history. I've played on gaiaonline and have a character on there, and also I have played a lot of dungeons and dragons.

I'm pretty flexible on just about anything when it comes to RP, I enjoy roleplaying and I'm a writer so I love to work with a good storyline. I'm more into long-term type RPs with a major plot driven atmosphere.

Right now the character that I'm focusing on the most is hertz spider, I will be making two more characters soon that I also plan on putting into the golden tether which is the RP I suppose I'm focusing on. It's in furcadia, I was a player on furcadia a long time ago, but have disappeared and haven't returned to it in ages. I see a lot has changed, well I'm excited to go forward with the golden tether.

If you want to know more about hertz or RPing with me let me know. I would be more than happy to join some good RPs as well.

Side note: I'm gay! So is hertz so you know.

I never heard of rpol.net but it seems like a pretty tight system from a quick lookover. Is it freeform roleplay or is it really heavily based on dice and such?

Haha, yay for pansexuals! (My family is a mess of different things, we joke my mom has an inability to pop out a heterosexual child to save her life. There's four of us and none of us are straight lol, my brother is pansexual.)

Rpol really depends on the game you choose to play, there are a lot of different games run by the players and depending on the game you might need to use a dice roller or play free-form. My game on there is a psychological horror game right now.

Really? That's actually quite funny! I don't think I know of a family (besides my own) with multiple children where not one is straight. Well, until now.

And that's pretty neat! I'm assuming it's not something like we have on our forums here though, right? Here the topic starter has full control over the RP and can do whatever they want (within our rules' limits of course), it's not really directed by a GM unless the poster wants it to etc. Just trying to get a sense of what you're used to on that site and how it differs from what we have to offer. Or maybe we're very similar after all!

Actually you can start your own entire forum, and be able to make your threads as you please and control them. There is a GM Panel and you can elect moderators and co-gms. It's pretty intricate, but really fun. Members of the site need to request access usually with a character sheet from your game that you provide and have to be accepted into the game in order to post.

Also wow, I think I just spent a full 24 hours on hertz spider's site. I hope that it looks good in the end, and I definitely went for a good level of detail. I hoped that the Cthulhu twist makes him interesting. There is more background, but I don't want to ruin further RP experience by giving away too many spoilers about his background. It's perhaps the biggest thing he brings to the table, although at the same time that leaving things out will upset people.

So advice, what do you think should I go ahead and spill all the beans now? Or should I go ahead and reserve some information to come out slowly over time. Let's keep in mind I'm a long term minded individual I plan to keep hertz active for a very long time to come and hope to see him develop a lot.

I think it's best to unveil more info through RP. His profile is already quite extensive and it may be daunting for players to 'have to' read through so much. Especially if it allows for fun and unexpected twists, I definitely recommend keeping it hidden until the time comes where it's useful!

Wow, I can see you put a lot of time and effort into his profile, it looks awesome I agree with Sanne on this point, if you give away too much at the beginning then there aren't any surprises for people to discover on their own This is why all of my profiles are super basic, I never know what to give away and what to not give away. I always admire people that can do really detailed profiles, awesome job!
