Lol, look at this big old welcome wagon already pulled up on you! I hope it's not too intimidating.

Anyways, if you're looking for some idle chit-chat, there's a forum called 'small talk' here--if you go to the 'just chatting' thread, and click the 'launch chat' button near the top, you can hang out in the live chat area with anyone else who's online. I find it's kind of nice if you're wanting some background company while working on other things.
