Hello! This is my first thread, so I appreciate taking the time to view a newbie's poor attempt at a sign up thread. I'm going for a D&D/Pathfinder-like roleplay with a group of about 3-5 people (excluding myself). Feel free to ask for additional details on the plot. If you are unfamiliar with Pathfinder or D&D and still wish to participate, feel free to filter any questions to me and I will gladly help explain as much as I can! Enjoy yourself here.

RULES
1. As always, obey the RP Repository rules. Be respectful and courteous-- if you have beef with someone in this thread, bring it up in DMs and we can try to get it sorted out.
2. You may have up to 3 characters (this does not including NPCs with minor roles. If your character dies and is not brought back, replacing them with a new character does not effect your number of characters).
3. In reference to #2, yes, your characters can die, but do NOT go out of your way to PvP other Player Characters (PCs); there are plenty of monsters to do that for us.
4. No Godmodding or Spotlighting. Everyone's PCs will share an equal amount of importance in our story once we get it rolling.
5. Please try to stick to the basic premise and 'era' that D&D holds. Keep your character races as close as possible to any of the core or advanced races. If you have a monster or creature you wish to modify into a PC race, let me know and I'll most likely be able to approve it.
6. If you decide this isn't for you a short time into the RP, no worries! There's always ways to wiggle characters in and out of threads, so this is not bound to you. However, that being said, please keep a small level of commitment when we are later on in the thread. If your PC(s) are not interacting with others or the world, feel free to post a small filler to let us know you're still with us!
7. Lastly, please enjoy yourself and have fun.
PLOT INTRODUCTION:
Perhaps it is a good thing the world has long since forgotten Deskari, Demon Lord of Infestation. Deskari appears as a horrible beast, human from the waist up, and locust-like below. Semi-solid wings—composed of clouds of locusts—protrude from his human back, and he carries the terrible scythe Riftcarver in his fleshy hands. However, the Children of the Braki, a cult of High Elves, are to thank for his gradual return to our plane... unless they can be stopped before his return, of course.
The cult has unleash their unholy wrath upon the continent, sucking the life of the land through darkness that eats away at the land, casting plague and disaster. It is up to our player characters will attempt to liberate the lands by destroying the artificial power-house runes that keep the draining powers focused in specific areas.
Our characters will begin in (or around) the small elven town of Doressa.

Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Details: Occasional dice use, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
