This post is a dedication to the artwork of another artist. Because it's exceptionally awesome.
I’m taking a moment of my time to express the crazy artistic goodness found in these drawings. Through a method of clever hatching, controlled pressure and dedication, Samuel Silva has created these images with nothing but ballpoint pens. The redhead girl uses only 6 colors + black! The color variation is little more than an optical illusion thanks to the technique he uses.
I am absolutely baffled, impressed and feel very insignificant as an artist now. I can only hope to achieve this kind of level and patience by the time I’m dead.
I thought I'd share this awesomeness with you all, even if it isn't relevant to RPR by itself. If this isn't inspiring, I don't know what is!
If you're interested in a sneak peek on how the artist does this will ballpoints, take a gander at his tutorial teaser.
