(This is based on the game 'Call of Duty Black Ops 2. If you've played it, or the other Black Ops games, you'd know about the zombies mode where you fight against waves of the undead. IN this, four players get sucked into the map Town, and are forced to survive. Gameplay mechanics work the same. You have a small tablet that displays your HUD. I will write the starter and wait for three other people) Cole groaned as he woke up. It was so hot. Where the heck was he? The teen stood and saw three other people. He was about to say 'hi' when a decaying arm popped out of the ground next to him. He yelped and backed away. Then he realized he was holding a pistol. He looked at it, then the arm. An arm that was connected to a body. A body that was halfway out of the ground. "Ahhhh!"
On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
The world IS war, but there may be RPs that don't feature it. Warhammer Fantasy/40k, etc.

(Yes you are, child) Cole turned quickly and nodded. And the body was all the way out of the ground. It shambled over to them, moaning and groaning. Cole turned and fired, sending the firearm out of his hand. And the person kept on a-shambling.
Richard ran leading the group "In here" He ducked under what looked like a shed door
Cole rushed over as the rotting figure kept walking and another joined it.
