Dadj Avers (played by f0x1nth3b0x)

"Alright, that's fantastic. I'm blind too. Are you going to be less blind now that your lizard has returned?" Mort had smacked him at least once with his thick reptilian tail, so Dadj knew the mount was back. "Where is everyone else?"

He was still groping around without sight, trying to find anything that would tell him where he was and how to proceed from here.

Annoyed by it's failure to stop Mort, the wall hastened it's advance even more. The wall's movement made the corridor shake enough to loosen the stalactites on the ceiling and make them fall, along with large amounts of accumulated dust. As it happens, these stalactites are quite sharp and can do some damage in the event that one hits somebody.

((Sheesh, you guys. Always carry some Eye Drops, Antidotes, Echo Screens/Herbs, Gold Needles, Chronos Tears [cures Stop if you don't know], etc. with you at all times! Better yet, get some Remedies.))

((Unfortunately, most of our characters come from worlds with non-simulated economies, which means we can't kill unlimited numbers of respawning monsters for trash to dump in town for unlimited currency that never inflates to buy potions from vendors who never run out of resources. :( ))

"Maybe," she said in response to Dadj's first question. She rummaged around in her pack for her bottle of healing pills. When she found it, she popped the top off and stuck a hand in. Just two pills left. She sighed and removed one, then recapped the bottle and returned it to its satchel. She then took up the skin from where it lay, and turned it around in her hands until she found the larger cap on the back, the one normally removed when refilling the skin from a water source. She unscrewed this. Placing her fingers almost inside the opening, she crushed the healing pill. Pulverized, its dust sank in to the blessed water and dissolved.

"If you have any gods, I'd pray to them right about now," she mumbled. After replacing the cap, she shook the skin as vigorously as she could manage for a few seconds, then allowed the contents to settle, then shook it again. She wasn't really sure if that was necessary. Finally, she popped off the smaller top, letting it dangle by its cord, and took a drink.

Tyval's holy magic combined with the power of the apothecary's concoction to create a powerful curative elixir. Almost immediately, she felt her sight and nausea clearing as the poison and dark magic were neutralized. Her sides and back first went from constant throbbing pain, to numbness, to no unusual sensation at all.

Just as Pinkie-planned,
Sam thought to herself with an impossibly smug smile.

Then she remembered what was going on. "Here, drink this!" She thrust the skin in to Dadj's arms. "It should fix your eyes. But hurry! We've got to help Tyval, and destroy that... thing! Somehow."

She'd forgotten all about Dadj's "unique" nature, so it hadn't occurred to her that drinking holy water might not end well for him. As such, she'd neglected to mention that that's what she'd just suggested he should do.

((Samantha's party-wide reversal spell has worn off. Fat lot of good it did them.))

((Edit: original image went poop. have an even creepier one!))
Tyval (played anonymously)

Not much more to say about Tyval. For the time being, he was making an incredible effort to stay conscious. Panicking, poisoned, and overall exhausted - he could, in fact, barely move.

But this post isn't about the Paladin. It's about his squirrel that was by then climbing up the big mean wall.

How? Well, after being poisoned AND blinded, Gabby didn't even flinch. He swiftly used cancellation on himself, thus ridding himself of the annoying blindness - smart guy, wasn't he? Sure he was. And unlike his wimp master, he didn't collapse to the effect of poison easily. And then, like a tiny, shiny and furry bold of lightning, the mini-paladin dashed towards the wall.

Now the rest was history. Well, not really, the rest was him leaping onto the wall and climbing it, until he reached its 'face'.

The wall, furious due to the pest crawling upon it's face, put away one of it's swords and started clawing at the nuisance that plagued it, unaware of the fact that the intruders were starting to recover from the maladies previously inflicted upon them. Furthermore, while clawing at it's own face, the Demon Wall managed to accidentally damage itself by embedding a claw in it's face. Not a very bright sentient wall, it would seem. *GrandFinale facepalms at the wall*

Dadj Avers (played by f0x1nth3b0x)

Dadj took the skin and put it to his lips after feeling for what it was and where it opened. He had a gulp and swallowed it quickly. The blessed water almost came back up, but he forced it down for he could feel it's healing effects on his vision. He coughed after the liquid made it to his gut and he did in fact feel rather queasy. Now that his vision had returned, he took stock of the room. The squirrel had disappeared, maybe it was stepped on? He could see Tyval suffering and made strides towards him.

"I'm giving this to the paladin," he said over his shoulder to Sam. He sprinted over and told to drink, shoving he skin in his face.

((Don't forget the falling stalactites. Also, progress report: Demon Wall HP is 9,027 out of 10,332.))

((BUMP!!))
Tyval (played anonymously)

And while Gabby, the brave, ran around on the Wall's face, poking it with his needle of a sword and hitting hit with his shield whenever he had the chance, Tyval, the cowardly, was drinking some water he had just been offered by Dadj.

The effect was almost immediate. The poison was cured, and with it died a little - just a little - of his terror. He thanked Dadj, gave him the skin back, and stood up.

Then he heard something above him? He look up and saw something big and spiky falling on his face. Were it not for his quick reflexes he would have died right there! He raised his shield, blocking the stalactite, and once he got up again - the impact had made him fall on his buttocks - he glanced at the stalactite on the ground and smiled.

Was he being brave for once, or stupid as always? We might never know. He dropped his shield and sword. "You can have them if you wish.", he would tell Dadj... and then he grabbed the stalactite from the floor, wielding it as it if was a two-handed mace.

And with a yell of 'For the Eternal!', he charged towards the wall.
Dadj Avers (played by f0x1nth3b0x)

He looked at Tyval like he had actually just tossed his brain on the floor and then ran off skipping. He watched the angel run off to his more than likely death and left him to return to Samantha. Water skin in tow, Dadj looked to the roof of the room to make sure he wasn't about to be crushed as he walked.

Once safely to the lizard woman, he dropped the skin in her lap and looked behind him to what he expected to be a dead Paladin.

Seeing an enemy much larger than the squirrel, the wall forgot about the rodent and picked its sword it had dropped back up, and then slashes wildly at the other rodent charging straight towards it. And I thought the wall was acting dumb, Tyval must want to die.

((Sorry about all the short posts, there's just not really much I can say.))
Samantha Brooks (played by The_Ross)

"Thanks."

With the skin safely in her satchel once more, she grabbed a hold of Mort's saddle and somersaulted up in to it. Clearly, she was feeling better.

Once more she raised her sword, and thumped Mort's side with her boots. They charged flat out towards the wall, and DESTINY (actually death).
Tyval (played anonymously)

Tyval was indeed possessed by... something! How else could he be so deftly dodging the Wall's slashes, sometimes by hopping out of the way, sometimes by sliding underneath them, and at least once by tripping on his own feet, thus getting out of the way of a horizontal slash?

His brand new weapon in hand, he looked up at the Wall during a breather moment, and didn't waste the chance.

First he took a step back. Then he tightened his grip on the stalactite. And then he swung the weapon upwards in a broad arc, hitting the monster with great strength, right on its... chin?
Vadraaghain (played by GrandFinale) Topic Starter

((I'd say he's been possessed by "I'M GONNA F**KING KICK THIS WALL'S ASS!", wouldn't you say?))

Despite his looks, Tyval could truly deliver a strong hit. Cracks started forming on the wall's head, where there had not been some due to it's self-inflicted damage earlier. HP: 8,005. Never knew you could deal 1,022 damage with a big chunk of stone. Probably would have dealt more damage with the sword, though. In response, the wall lashed out with a powerful new spell given to it by Alphanus before it was posted in the cavern: Flare. And it knew just how to cast it so the blast would not harm itself in the process. A large, fiery explosion *still non-elemental* erupted just a few meters behind Tyval, extending in all directions. To explain, the blast's radius brings it just a few inches short of hitting the wall itself.
Dadj Avers (played by f0x1nth3b0x)

Dumbfounded, Dadj watched Tyval attacked the Wall and actually do some sort of damage. At least, he had pissed it off because the thing exploded with fiery light. The flare attack burst through the room and the Ranger made an attempt to look away. He failed however, and the brightness stung his vision, causing him to back-peddle to get away from the Wall. He held his hands over his singed retinas and cursed below his breath.

The stalactites continued to fall down into the room, previously unnoticed by the party. However, one was hurtling to the ground with Dadj's name on it.
Vadraaghain (played by GrandFinale) Topic Starter

Good God, this thing must be a retard. Sure, Flare can be a game-winner...but it should have made the explosion a bit smaller, because two large holes were blasted into the long, non-sentient walls that make up the cavernous 'hallway', and as such all the intruders could easily slip into one or both of them and the wall would just pass by. Have I mentioned the wall can't stop one it gets going? That means it may very well have made this battle unwinnable for itself- it will slam against the far wall at the end and crush it's entire frontside, and the intruders can then demolish the rest of the wall. What makes it worse for the Demon Wall? It hasn't even noticed the holes yet. Wall, I am dissapoint.

((Hey Dadj, you're treating it like it's a fire-based attack. Remember, this is Flare, a non-elemental attack.))
