In a world where magic users and the supernatural are hated and feared, there lie a few settlements for magical people and supernatural folk to reside. The largest out of those is Haven.

Haven is a fairly large city full of magic and supernatural creatures, and all are welcome, from the ordinary magic-using human to the strangest supernatural creature.

It's a generally peaceful city, with everyone knowing if they break a rule too badly, they could be banished from Haven, and it isn't very safe outside.

There is a magical barrier around Haven, enchanted so normal humans cannot enter or exit (Weather is let through.). Bombs, missiles, and weaponry cannot enter either, preventing terrorist attacks from normal humans. However, if a bomb does hit, the city will shake as if there was an earthquake.

Haven is far away from any normal human civilization, in a grassy field large enough to hold the place. There is a small village nearby, but it's part of Haven. The magic barrier leads to it as well, and protects it. The village is known as Moral.

Haven is a modern city, and has a metal frame installed underneath. The main forms of travel are hoverboards, which are magnetic and work with the metal frame, teleport checkpoints scattered around the city, and magic, of course! Some people fly or walk, though.

In Haven, there's an arena in the heart of the city where citizens can battle if they want. Surrounding it are 3 major schools:

Sunset University, a school like a community college about basic magic;
Prism Institute, a school offering courses on magic-tech engineering;
and Nightcloud Community School, which is essentially a preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school in one building, but adapted to Haven by teaching students of Haven's history, along with helping them with any abilities they have.

Instead of the normal Internet, in Haven, they have the Magic Communication System. It's like the Internet, but is only accessible from computers enchanted to do so. All computers in Haven can access the MCS, and the Internet. The MCS differs from the Internet in that it's powered by magic-tech servers that never shut off or hiccup, it's free to use, protected better, and is a hub for different settlements to chat and access information regarding magic, settlement laws, and to arrange for a trip to other settlements.

Travel between settlements is extremely rare, and is expensive and difficult to arrange. Teleportation is the safest option at this point.

If you haven't already, please ask before joining.

It was an average day in Haven. Okay, it was raining, but still, it was normal. Jamie was sitting in a cafe, not wanting to get cold. Yume was working a part time job as a waitress, despite her young age.
Vox (played by koobler)

This DJ has been all over. But nothing ever came close to this place.

Haven, a typical, populated gargantuan city; though the people made it different. They all were supernatural in one way or another. Whether they be a human controlling the elements, or a half-beast hybrid, all were welcome in this place. It was the perfect place to reside.

Well, there was one crucial thing missing.

....That thing, was sick beats. At least, from the man himself, the infamous DJ Vox!

New places meant new people, which meant a wildly different audience. That fact alone made Vox's heart almost burst with excitement and joy. He couldn't wait to start planning his first solo concert. But there was one thing he had to do first.

Coffee.

Vox had already made his way to the local cafe, heading inside. He brushed off his T-shirt that said, 'Drop The Bass', with a picture of a sea-bass printed below the words. He looked around. The customers there had given him odd glances, because of his helmet. Vox shrugged it off. It was nothing new, to be perfectly honest.

He strolled over to an empty seat and plopped down in it. Vox patiently waited for service, his head bobbing to the everlasting music that played in his brain.
Harry Pyae (played by BasilPiggles)

A bright light forced itself through Harry's eyelids, slowly provoking his awakening. God damn it, daytime already? Harry tightens his eyebrows in response to the light, which turned out to actually be the blinding illumination of a cafe.

Fluttering his eyes, Harry manages to sit up in, apparently his, booth. With an overexaggerated yawn, he stretches his arms upwards and, shortly after, takes in his surroundings. Where on Earth was he?
"I think I overslept..." He said to himself, adjusting his dull grey cap.
Harry, once he had sufficiently had his fill of looking, rests his eyes on the odd-looking man across the cafe. He thought to himself "What a cool helmet!" and continues to stare at him, judging his choice of attire and scooting forward in the booth.
Vox (played by koobler)

For a little while, Vox was preoccupied with the strong beat that played in his helmet. He tapped on the table where he sat.

Maybe I should make a new EP album just for this town. That'll be cool.

His head moved to take a look at the other customers. When he was about done, his eyes had moved to a young man in a gray cap. Vox was about to move on, but he noticed that the guy in the cap was staring at him. Well, isn't someone just fascinated with his bewitchingly good looks? Vox was going to give him a smile, but at the same time, he remembered that his face was obscured by his helmet.

So he opted for something else.

Vox raised his hand and gave a little wave to the guy in the cap. On his helmet screen, a pixel hand appeared and also gave a wave.
Meanwhile, Yume trips on her own two feet, spilling a drink on the floor. "Darn it!" she says, slightly frustrated.
Vox (played by koobler)

Vox noticed the short waitress walking through. He was about to raise his hand, but saw that she tripped and spilled something. Quickly, he stood up, and went over to her.

"I got it!" He reached into the pocket of his jeans and pulled out a handkerchief. Vox reached down and started wiping. While he did so, he glanced up at her. On his helmet, a red question mark appeared.

"You good, little lady?" He asked.
"Ah! Yeah, thanks!" Yume picks up the cup she dropped. She stands up and brushes off her clothes.
Vox (played by koobler)

"No problem!" He replied, finishing soaking up (most) of the liquid. Vox soon straightened up.

He looked to the waitress. "So, uh, can I order something?" Vox asked, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.
"Yeah, I guess.." Yume says. "I'd have to get another one of the drinks I spilled and serve that first though, sorry.."
Vox (played by koobler)

"No problem! I'll uh, just be at my seat. Sitting. Because that's what you do when you're in a seat. You sit." Vox stepped back towards his said seat. "I'm gonna just, sit. In the seat. And wait. In the seat."

He hurried back to the chair he was on previously. Very slowly, he lowered himself and sat, twiddling his thumbs.
Yume hurries off. A minute later, she can be seen giving a customer a drink. She then goes over to Vox. "What can I get for you?"
Vox (played by koobler)

He looked up once he was addressed.

"I'll have an espresso, please." Vox told her. There was a short pause as he put a finger on his helmet. He tapped it.

"Actually, make that two."
"Alrighty!!" Yume goes off to get the aforementioned drinks, then a few minutes later she places them before Vox. "Anything else?"
Vox (played by koobler)

Vox soon turned his focus to the music as she left to go get his order. His finger tapped onto the table's surface in sync with the beat.

When she returned, he looked down at his drinks. Then he tapped his helmet thoughtfully.

"May I get.... One more?" He asked, looking back up.
"Already! Just don't die from the caffeine or something.." Yume gets another espresso and puts it in front of Vox.
Vox (played by koobler)

"The caffeine's the least of my worries!" Vox remarked, smiling from under his helmet.

Once she had returned with his third espresso, he nodded, indicating thanks. Then he gave a thumbs up. "Thanks little lady!" He reached into his pocket, digging around in it for a moment. Then he pulled out a twenty dollar bill and offered it to her.

"Keep the change! You work hard, I can tell!"
Yume looks stunned for a moment. "Wow..! Thank you so much!"
Vox (played by koobler)

He chuckled at her reaction. On his helmet, appeared the letters, 'LOL'.

"Hey, no problem at all!" Vox said. "Just try to keep a steady beat when you deliver drinks. You'll fall a lot less, trust me!"
Yume chuckles. "So I should dance while I work?"
Vox (played by koobler)

"I don't see why not!" Vox replied. "Everyone's got their own rhythm. Once you find it, you won't stumble as much."

He reached over to one of the cups in front of him and picked it up. Then he lifted it to his mouth, forgetting that he couldn't really drink that way.

The cup tapped his helmet's glass with a clink. Vox flinched, then chuckled to himself. "Whoopsie!"
