Sci-fi:
#1. Years after the battle of jakku someone manages to dig up the remains of an old battle droid. nothing is salvageable except one thing, the personality template. you find this template and insert it into a custom-made droid. The droid boots successfully and hilarity ensues.
#2. Years after the battle of Starkiller base the Personality template designed by Temmin 'snap' Wexley is uploaded on the holonet, but gets almost no hits, you are one of the few people who find it and uploads it to a droid, It designates itself as 'Mr Bones' and hilarity ensues
Fantasy:
#1: You hear tales of a sadistic mercenary only known as Mr Bones, so you decided to investigate his story across the land and not only find out why he is killing, but you meet him along the way
#2. you find a sadistic automaton and somehow befriend it and find it is named Mr Bones
#3. you join a group of mercenaries who are destined to take down an evil empire (Group rp)
Modern:
#1; you find a beat up robot and repair him, along the way befriending him

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Occasional dice use, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
What about a post apocalypse setting like fallout? This kinda will be like your modern idea 1. But if not I’m all for Star Wars!
