Hey! I noticed that this forum lacked this little cute game, which honestly surprised me! So I'd figured I'd bring it along here.
But to make things more exciting, let's make it IC instead of OOC!

For those who don't know how to pay the game, it's very simple - you make a post with a statement about the person above you, a statement about yourself, and an assumption about the next person to post.
^ points to above, < points to yourself, v points below

Person 1
^ Is an invisble person
< Is starting this game
v has never played this game before

Person 2
^ a statement in response to the person above them (answering their assumption basically)
< some statement about themselves (random fact about your chracter basically, usually related to the previous assumption)
v an assumption or statement about the next character to be posted

Or you could:
^Response to the previous' person's question.
< a fact about your character
v A question for the next character!

I'll start as my lovely girl, Minerva.

< Minerva used to fight for her kingdom's army, until the Demonic empire fell to the hands of unknown enemies. Then, Minerva found herself in a small village on her home world and became a Town Guard.
v "What do you think is worth fighting for?"

^ "That's a tough question. At school, they taught me that orders were what we fought for, but that never felt right to me. I guess, I fight for those who can't fight for themselves."

< Jackson really doesn't know where he fits in with the world anymore. He's different than other people, and that's scary. Also, there are people who know what was done to him, what he is now? Are they just going to leave him alone, or do they have plans?

v "Do you think power is inherently corruptive?"

^ "Power is corruption. You've only to look at the goddess to see it. Or my people, or anybody with a lick of it who feels like wielding it carelessly."
< "I've found myself in a position where it's impossible to succeed. I've already lost my faith, my family, my friends... and I've been set to guard my human charge as though she were a prisoner for the rest of her days. Any interaction I have with her is necessarily skewed. We're both pariahs, but we have no solace in one another's company."
v "Do you believe that one can surpass the bounds set by the divine?"

^ "I don't believe in the concept of divinity. There are people and creatures with lesser or greater degrees of control over their environment, but the concept of divinity necessitates worship. I don't believe in giving up my will based on religious dogma."
< "There's a reason humans are so good at what they do, and it was never because of their adherence to religious dogma. We've got the scientific method and good record-keeping, which allow us to build on the discoveries that came before us, and enough curiosity to take us anywhere."
v "You're not religious either, are you?"

^ "You got that right. Religion is a waste of my time. I have more confidence believing in myself, because I know I am real."

< "More than two thousand lives have been taken by my blade. Though each and every time, they seem to scream louder and louder than the last."

^ "If I am a shape shifter, it is for ostensibly good and meritous reasons. I'd hardly deign to compare myself to a cretinous monster."

< "I believe that killing is abhorrent. My job, when I took up the mantle, has always been to protect the weak, not to relish in ending the lives of others. Why is it that when I seek out monsters, then, that snuffing their existence seems so right?"

v "How do you determine when a gut feeling is justified? What if you're wrong?"

^"Simple," she began, shrugging and smiling wide, "just be me! I'm never wrong! Plus, Bullet always has the same ideas, so really, I don't see how I could be wrong."

<"I really, really like hunting monsters. Something about it is just... I don't know! It's the thrill of a fight without the weight of the guilt of murdering a human."

v"You get that, right? You get how fun hunting monsters is?"

^ No, I didn't get it since all the monster I know is the one that live inside my head

< Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety. See....that's the monster inside my head

v What kind of monster you know??

^ "Ff... you want a running list? Alright, let's frickin do it. You got your standard Goner, a person who I don't wanna call a zombie because they're not after brains, but they're effing crazy. You got your weirdos you can't explain, like the crying lady straight out of some Lewis Carroll crap; she nearly drowned us. You got your sky-effers and your ground-running effers, both of which are quiet and deadly, and greeblies that cluster in the eves of buildings and scream blood when you interrupt them. Giant winter-resistant bugs that take out a windshield, roaming chunks of highway like lamp posts or signs, which aren't friendly either. I think I saw one of the skyscrapers move, but hell if I'm going to the city's core. Eff that, I want away from these things, not closer to them."

< "You know what gets me worse than all that, though? It's frickin cold, and all I want to do is curl up in front of the heat vents in my truck until the battery dies, but I have to keep going because if I don't, my friends are going to get themselves killed."

v "Is it worth it? Having friends who make you wanna scream every day? Why do I frickin bother?"

^"At this point, they're all dead. We're doomed and nobody's listening to me!"
<"I'm the last one left in this war. It's real, I swear! It's real! They're trying to kill us! They're trying to eat us!"
v "Ever see the look in a man's eyes when he realizes he's about to die? Ever feel that little twitch their throat makes to try and resist? Ever hear someone cry for their mother as you bleed them out with a shard of glass!? They had him! I know they had him! They'll kill us all!"

^ What with all this killing?? Have you ever heard the scream of the dead when they burned in hell?? Do you have any idea how loud is it?? How annoying is it??

^ "Throwing my roots down. You rot if you stay in one place, y'know?"

< "I'm not homeless-- just that the roof's under my feet instead of over my head. Keep an eye on the cops, see. Watch 'em like a hawk."

v "What about you, kid? Where would you go if you could?"

^The three talk for a minute, then nod. The one with the tiger stripes steps forward to deliver the group decision.

"We would not go anywhere. Other places are full of people. Dangerous people. We prefer where we are."

<The one with the Venus symbol is next to speak. They clear their throat lightly before they begin.

"We are the Tabije. I'm very sorry, but you are trespassing in our territory. Unless you have a good reason for being here, we need you gone." They smile wide as though they'd just delivered good news.

vFinally, the one with tears speaks up.

"So... What's more appealing to you: justice or mercy?" He gets a look from the other two. Obviously, he wasn't supposed to ask that but did anyway. "I'm sorry... I'm just very curious!" he explains to his companions.

^"Justice, of course. Mercy should only be given to those who deserve it. Sadly, that is few and far between..."

<Once upon a time, Lexi actually had Rekushi's current look, and Rekushi was named Alexys. (Creative name for Lexi's sister back then is creative.)

V"Don't remind me, master..." A pause. "Ah, I have to give an assumption then. Hmm.... Then I'll assume that the next poor soul doesn't know at least three main differences between Eastern and Western styles of swordsmanship, aside from what kinds of swords are used."

^ "I fighter, hmm? I'll profess I know nothing of your world's systems, but that just makes a sparring match more interesting, doesn't it?"

< Laedo wears a dagger and a long-sword when in human form; he likes fighting with sharp pointy ends because in his draconic form, he uses teeth and claws.

v "The person below me is not a fighter, but a peaceful soul."

^ "Its a part of me, I can't really bring myself to be any other way. I don't want to hurt anyone and I'd rather disarm a situation with words rather than force."

< Detests fighting but dislikes inaction even more regardless of personal views; injustices must be addressed even if committed by persons or forces of 'order'. Sometimes this leads to altercations he cannot really succeed in without some sort of physical action.
