Gabriel, in the form of a great wolf, stalking through the trees. His flame red eyes vigilant for any movement other then the wind through the leaves. The thick winter mists made it near impossible to trust his sight. Soon a sweet, somehow metallic smell came to his nostrils. The smell of blood. He would have smiled if he could. It didn't take long before he found the trail of red droplets in the snow covered forest floor. Easy prey was his thought in all this, as the alpha didn't really feel like truly hunting at this moment. He padded along, following the trail. He was near silent despite his massive size. It was a feat for a wolf of about 10' at the shoulder to be as quite as he was. Yet soon he came across something he wasn't expecting at all.

He must have gotten turned around at the forest path.

Though Orpheus never frequently got lost, he had admittedly made a wrong turn this time. The city was definitely the other way. Winter's chill slowly crept up on him; he would never let it impair his movements. His hand was prepared, ready to whip out Silencer at any given moment, if anything should happen. There was a rumor going about; this particular forest had werewolves running about. While his experience with said creatures was rather reliable, you couldn't be too careful.

That being said, he did have a run in with a werewolf a bit earlier. He escaped, albeit, narrowly. His wrist was injured, badly. Orpheus hastily wrapped a handkerchief around the bite wound. The scent of his blood would attract something unwanted. He would have to hurry and--

It was a bit too late for that. He heard footsteps approaching. No--they were heavier. Another werewolf perhaps? That was no good. Orpheus watched as he caught a glimpse of the massive, black wolf in the distance. He couldn't exactly shoot in this state, but what was the harm in trying? But as soon as he tried to move his arm, his injury made him freeze in pain. So much for that idea.

At this time his pace had slowed down to a walk. When he finally came upon the source of the trail, he would neither slow, nor quicken. He circled the man, his flame red eyes showing more intelligence and control then the other wolves who were wondering the woods at this time. They where all rouges, or the bitten as his village had called it. All the tribe's people were still in the village, anxiously awaiting new of prey from Gabriel, or news of something else. The bitten didn't have the same control of their instincts that those born as a werewolf did, thus causing the widespread hate of them. Soon, he stopped circling, and sat before the injured man before him.

His wine red pupils scanned the black wolf as he circled him. While it didn't attack right away, which was definitely good, it still gave him a sense of unease. What was it planning? He had no intention of voicing any of this. Instead, he decided to wait on it.

When the wolf had sat down before him, he relaxed some. Orpheus tilted his head, intrigued by this gesture.

"Greetings, stranger." He quietly greeted.

The wolf dipped his head in reply, when suddenly a red glow would appear around him. Soon a vortex of circling flames, born from the red glow, hid the wolf from view. When they dissipated, where once the wolf sat, stood a tall young man with shaggy black hair and eyes all to similar to the wolf's. He wore black clothes, that were relatively thin for being in the middle of winter. Yet he didn't seem to be cold. He stood in a circle where the snow had been melted away by his transformation.

"Are you lost?"
He asked.

He watched the transformation with interest. Though once it was done, he studied the now tall man before him.

"Indeed I am. If you could direct me to the nearest town, then that would be grand."

"The nearest town would be my village. Just north of here."

He said, confident of know the forest they were in. He did know it quite well, as he had been running through it mist of his life. He shoved his hands in his pockets as he spoke, out of habit, and continued to look at the man before him.

"I have people who could tend to that wound of yours as well. The quicker the better, unless you want to become one of us."

He nodded slowly at his words. At the mention of his wrist, he glanced down at it. Becoming one of them would be troublesome for him.

"I would appreciate that very much." Orpheus reached into his pocket with his other hand, pulling out a pocketwatch. He flipped it open and checked it. He had some time before his deadline.

"Lead on." Orpheus said, looking up.

He gave a short nod, and turned towards the north. Then he started walking off through the snow and trees. HE glanced back only once, to be sure the stranger was following. He knew since he wasn't a wolf, he would probably be cold. With nightfall coming soon, he thought it best to get him there before dark. The temperature only dropped once night fell upon the forest and mountains.

As the other began walking, Orpheus had followed behind closely. The cold didn't bother him much; he quite liked it, if he had to be honest.

This sort of stillness made him feel calm. Orpheus began to softly hum a tune.
