Starter:

The kingdom of Guarlidian. A rather fine, wealthy kingdom, that consists of humans, Elves, and Werewolves alike, with the occasion of a few visiting Vampires that are quite friendly. Guarlidian has been successful in thriving through the land of Aridisione, guaranteed that it is the largest kingdom in this land.

The Astral Forest. A vast, enchanted forest in the vicinity of the kingdom of Guarlidian. Wyverns, Dragons, Elves, and Faeries live and thrive in this suiting forest. Beautiful and mystifying sights are held deep within the heart of the forest. Though it may be diminishing, the Astral Forest has managed to recover, and rebuild itself around Guarlidian. It is indeed the largest forest to exist in the land of Aridisione, and many lumberjacks, and hunters come to this place.

In the recent years, the Astral Forest hasn't been coping well with the Guarlidian kingdom constantly expanding. Many more lumberjacks chop down the trees, and an terrifying amount of hunters are heading in and rounding up more and more Wyverns by the day, and selling them to traders around the land, in exchange for priceless riches.

The population has been steadily declining for the Wyverns, and they haven't managed to recover from it. This is very grave for the forest, for if the Wyverns are to become extinct, the Astral Forest will die, without the Wyverns' assistance.

The Mother and Father of the Wyverns are doing their best to protect their subjects, and in need of their allies-the Dragons, Astral Forest Elves, and Faeries-to protect them. With their allies protection, they can slowly, but surely, recover from the declination that the people of Guarlidian have been causing.

Well, hello random person reading this! This is a fantasy-ish roleplay, for you people needing to know. You can roleplay as a Wyvern, Dragon, Faerie, Elf, Human, Werewolf, maybe a visiting Vampire, and probably some other things...

[The following below is optional for you to read, and will be in bold. If you want to skip, scroll down until there is something that isn't bold.]

Now, before I even begin or something, there are some roles open for people who want them. When someone gets the role, I will edit them, so others know that it's already taken. Make sure to check every now and then, so you are 'informed' about what roles have and haven't been taken!

Mother of Wyverns (AKA - Wyvern Queen): Open
Father of Wyverns (AKA - Wyvern King): Open
Mother of Dragons: Open
Father of Dragons: Open
Elf King (Forest): Open
Elf Queen (Forest): Open
Faerie King: Open
Faerie Queen: Open

If you want any of the roles, please, do the following:
1. State the role you want
2. State what character you will use for said role
3. State an explanation as to why you want the position

In some time, I will decide the lucky people who will receive the role they asked for. But, as of when I don't respond, be paitent. I won't message the lucky person on their comment thing, but I will put their roleplay character onto the role they wanted.

You can use multiple characters for the roleplay, just don't go overboard with it.

Now, as for writing standards real quick.

It doesn't matter whether you type out a novel, or just a one-liner, just as long as it is enough to respond to. Also, make sure to spell most of your words correctly, and try to use proper grammar (unless if your character is talking, and they speak like "We was walking down the street.") otherwise, I'll have an internal screaming attack, and I'll have to correct you, which might make you annoyed.

I'm also looking for at least 3-4 people to at least start this off, so I appreciate it when someone likes to join (cause I'm usually forever alone ;_;).

And, this roleplay will also be a group roleplay, for any of you who will ask that.

Would a young blacksmith warrior from the lands of Veritae be welcome to partake? He would also like to aid the dragons and wyverns and maintain peace in the land.

Why, yes, I suppose so!

This has caught my imagination a bit. I've never played something this high fantasy before, but I'd like to try. I have many questions about the setting and the races' lore, but let's just start with Dragons for now as that's what I'd like to play. What is the typical Dragon you (or maybe a citizen of Gaurlidlian) would say lives in this enchanted forest? Are we to be portraying them what Dragon's are like typically in fiction; Naturally greedy and wrathful, colossal in size, solely fire breathing, etc.? Is it safe to assume the distinction between Wyverns and Dragons (besides the difference in number of arms) is that Wyverns are more magical in nature while Dragons more physically inclined? That's what I assume with Wyverns being the "heart" of this forest rather than both flying reptiles.

Citizens in Guarlidian would believe that Dragons are merciless killers out to strike their kingdom, and sieze it, for they have only seen the side of a Dragon that involves destruction, due to the fact that these people have invaded their home, and faced the consequences. However, Dragons in the Astral Forest are actually quite 'peaceful' in their way, and only fight if it is necessary. They may seem colossal in size, since some Dragons can be, but those colossal Dragons use that colossal size to their advantage, so that their enemies can be intimidated by them. The Dragons in here are not greedy or wrathful, unless they must be to their enemies, which they may fine 'fair' for them. The Dragons can breathe fire, as it is for defense/attack purposes, but if you ask something about their home burning because of that fire breathing ability, the Astral Forest isn't affected by the Dragons' fire breathing.

Besides the number of arms for Wyverns and Dragons, yes, the Wyverns actually have more magic ability than Dragons. Dragons are more physically inclined, because the Dragons aren't as deeply 'bonded' as the Wyverns. See, the Wyverns are more 'bonded' since they are literally their source of having the ability to thrive, whereas the Dragons are more suited as one of the protectors, and provide safety.

I did my best to explain what I needed, and if you have more questions, remember to feel free to ask, and I will explain it as best as possible!

Okay, I was mostly right on some things. Thank you for the explanations. I've been pounding out some details for the character in the mean time. I'm a bit indecisive with some of these though. I want my hulking colossus cake and I want to magically eat it too. I believe changing him to a Wyvern would be the best way to suit the setting then, as I want his breathe to be a mystical substance rather than simple fire. I'm going back and forth on it even as I type, so I'll get back to you later.

Oh, I do have another question before I let time pass and hopefully some more people join: Are their great mystical beasts for which the larger beings feed on, or does the mana of the forest take care of many of those earthly needs? I at first thought peasant farmers would make great "trade partners" for my guy, but hustling for goats seems below wyverns and dragons if they are so reclusive.

Occasionally, they may decide to feed on actual beings, but other than that, the forest's mana care for those needs.

See, why I may say 'occasionally' instead of something like 'they never feed on actual beings' is because there is a week called 'Vetus Linguae Radices Praecipuae Week', which is Latin for 'Old Roots Week'. During this week, the Astral Forest 'disables' its mana for the Wyverns and Dragons to go back to their roots, and hunt the old fashioned way. The reason the forest does that is so if it ends up dying, they may be independent in hunting. A similar thing happens to the Elves and Faeries, but more on that soon.
