I'd like to band together a small group of RPers to embark on a fantasy quest. All of the basic races and classes are acceptable for this RP, with allowance for alternative choices, though it will make it a lot easier for me if you are all humans! Of course, magic is allowed, as long as your chosen powers are not ridiculously strong or unreasonable.
In a world where violence on the streets has become normalised and peace is rare, how is it that four unseemly characters, newcomers, no less, end up making a difference? Imagine a land called Conquiastor; a realm in which warfare between humans and 'beasts' has plagued entire kingdoms. Your characters will begin in a small lakeside town and from there, it will be your actions that determine the course of the story. Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.

Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
I like this concept and I'd like to join with this character if possible. (I will add an equipment/skill list soon if needed for him.)

Ok guys, the group page is all set up and ready. We should be able to start the RP once enough people have joined the group, we'll be ready to start the RP.
I'm excited to start and I really hope that you guys enjoy it; I'm not an experienced GM though so please if there is any constructive criticism you have at any point during the role play, bring it up because I will not be offended and am completely happy to employ your advice.
Anyone who hasn't responded to the thread before this post is completely welcome to join as well, you just need to go to the group page (which I will link below) and click join, which will take you to an application page where you basically just need to summarise your character to me, and if you've created a profile for them then you can link that too (this isn't just to waste your time or anything, I just think it's helpful if I can read through your characters and get a feel for what you guys will be most interested in exploring before we begin).

Ideally, your responses to the game prompts will be at least a paragraph (they don't need to be polished works of art but I think that paragraphs are nice because they allow full immersion and also let players demonstrate their writing abilities) but if most people would prefer to stick mostly to dialogue, I'm happy to accommodate that. And please, if you're new to writing and role-plays then I still encourage you to join because although the story will have continuity, it's not going to be dead-serious and really the point is just to have fun.
