It occurred only near Halloween, and perhaps right on it too. The days the ghost that once terrorized ancient cities escaped an innocent looking creature.
Fear.
Fear was a force that had been trapped within a mortal body. An entity that created fear through the lands in the past, free'd by accident on some remote building at night by a scientist who was trying to figure out what made us fear things. Certainly you'd think he'd figure out that Fear feeds on fright.
She escaped, her form taking that of the young creature she'd been trapped in. Though bladed wings graced her back instead, longer claws, and a tail ending in a crescent moon blade. She cackled madly, and ran into the night....
Now it was near the time of Halloween that she set out to find ones to terrorize. A see through ghost with glowing green eyes, yet an ability to mimic fears.
She hears someone or something coming, and ducks behind a bush.
(ooc : Anyone can hop in. Or anything. Fear is my personal rendition of things, as such any resemblence to any other Fear out there is accidental. She does live inside Silver, but for a rare time she appears here!)

Corvina was out on one of her midnight strolls around the forest. She was always exploring its depths, but never feared for her safety. Her ability to disappear kept her safe when something came close.
The feeling of Halloween could be felt in the air. Corvina gazed at the moon for the few seconds it had chosen to peep out from behind the clouds. A breeze blew through the trees and she crossed her arms and shivered. The sweater she was wearing wasn't quite warm enough for a night like this.
Corvina decided she'd start walking back and noticed some movement over by a bush. Maybe it was just a rabbit. Maybe not. "Hello?" Corvina called softly.

Corvina decided she'd start walking back and noticed some movement over by a bush. Maybe it was just a rabbit. Maybe not. "Hello?" Corvina called softly.
''Heheheheee...'' She hissed, hopping out of the bush as a rabbit with glowing green eyes. ''Hello.'' She replied calmly, ears flicking.
Corvina jumped when she had heard the voice. It was silly thing to do, seeing as how she had been the one to call out first. She looked saw a glint from near the bush and moved around to see better.
It was a beautiful dragon with silver scales, golden horns and claws, and a halo. "Sorry, I guess I wasn't really expecting anyone but myself out here." Corvina said smiling. "If you don't mind me asking, what's your name?"

''I am Fear.'' She hissed coldly, growling llightly as the nearby bunny fled in terror.
Corvina felt shivers run down her back when the dragon said that. Somewhere deep inside her, a primeval instinct awakened, yelling at her to run, to do anything she could to get away from this creature that could cause so much fear.
Corvina swallowed her fears though. Just because the dragon had brought out fear didn't mean it would harm her. At least she hoped it wouldn't.

''Who are you?''
"My name is Corvina." She told the dragon, steadying herself from the moment of fright.
''Why did't you flee in terror?'' She hissed, growling darkly with bladed wings glinting.
Corvina trembled with the choking fear again. She had never felt it so overpowering as it was now. She gulped. Maybe staying here was a bad idea. She could hardly form a coherent thought through her head in her fear, however. She was rooted to where she was, eyes big with terror. She could've easily disappeared if she wanted to but the thought didn't even occur to her.
With a stern snort Fear lowers her aura of darkness, the uneasy feeling dissipating. ''Your...Strange. Most who see me scream..'' Scratching her chin with a gold claw, looking at Corvina.
Corvina swallowed. "I was once told that fear cuts deeper than a sword. It can make you forget who you are and make you do things you wouldn't normally do. So I try to control my fear." I probably won't be able to the next time. Corvina added to herself
''True.'' She replied with a grin. ''It is a hard thing to avoid.''
Corvina nodded then crossed her arms and shivered. It had only gotten colder since she met the dragon. But in a strange way, she enjoyed Fear's company, even with the bouts of fear.
"It may be hard, but if you can learn to control your fear, you'll be more likely to survive whatever situation caused it." Then she shrugged. "At least that's how my teacher explained it."

''I was born with knowledge to control it, and the power to use it as a weapon if needed. It is a talent that most can learn if given the chance to do so.''
"Wow...Are you the only one that's been born with the knowledge?" Corvina asked, her curious side coming out.
''Several are born with that knowledge, but they often stay so hidden no one can find them.''
''It is hallowen night, a night when cold and fear spread with ease.''
