It's super fun so far, but I've got a lot of words inside of me right now. I'm aiming to temper myself a little bit better and not going on HUGE jaunts so that I can save some of the creativity for later!

I always forget how disorienting it is to write the 1667 at midnight and then call it a night, to wake up later on the first and think "I need to write another 1667 for day two!"

Husband made me stop when I reached 2000 last night at midnight. The moment I actually got out of the bed I was back writing. I couldn't help myself.

I'm trying to keep up with RP, but for now it's a little bit on hold. I've got plans for homework even. I'm allowed to write as much as I can before I go to school. That gives me somewhere between twenty and fifty minutes depending on when I decide to actually get out of bed. Once at school I have to do some form of homework before I'm allowed to write anything.
This morning I dashed out another 932. If I had been actually awake, I've found I'm able to get approx 900 words in 15 minutes if I'm competing. I'm very competitive... I don't like to lose. One guy last night was averaging about 3000 words in the fifteen minutes. He's a published local writer though, and I know he does about thirty writing competitions a year!
My goal is to get to 10 00 today before I go to bed, plus my English homework.
Tomorrow I'm going to work on my Philosophy essay before I go to my write-in. I can't stop getting excited. I've never been this excited about writing before! I think I have a good chance of winning this year, or I'm going to burn out in the next few days!

Hehe I'm attempting NaNo for the first time. It's all because of Pen, I blame her for this insanity. While I -am- highly competitive I will probably not participate in word wars lol. I get WAY too caught up in that kind of thing. But, I'm also a terrible perfectionist when it comes to writing so my goal is to at least make a concise story hopefully by the end of NaNo. Should be fun!

But Rubix, word wars are perfect for the obsessive! They only last 10-20 minutes, and then you're free to be a normal person again!

word wars are when you pick a time and write as many words in a time frame as you can (I have bested myself and got 1016 in 15 minues!). They're really fun and a great way to boost word count.
If anyone needs any help with their novel or motivation, I'm free for the rest of the month if I keep up with my homework.

I just broke 25k! Halfway there. But I cheated and skipped ahead to write the climax and ending. Heh heh heh, revenge is so so sweet for Sam.
