Bare with me guys, this thread might get pretty lengthy.
So, my first RPing experience was on a different site (Quotev to be specific) and the differences between it and RPR is incredible. But one of my favorite things I discovered here was that there are so many amazingly creative people. I've always been a fan of world building and other forms of RP that helped express unique plots and themes, and that was exactly what I saw when I joined. More so than any other site I've been to.
But sadly, sometimes those fantastic ideas people develop never come to life. Or they're flat out forgotten. I've seen incredible ideas for worlds, cities, universes, races, culture, nearly everything. But not everyone gets put their ideas up to test, and other people just can't seem to write out a good explanation of their creation.
It may not seem like there's that much being lost. But trust me, I've RPed in may different places, and I can honestly say RPR has some of the most innovative and creative people I've had the pleasure to witness. So it's upsetting to see when characters are left unused or requests that dont reach popularity.
So the main reason for making this post is for everyone to be able to show off their ideas. All the little details and concepts behind their characters and races, and the worlds they've built with them. Even unfinished products should at least get some love for the pure effort and individuality put into them. You never know who's idea will inspire another's.
So, like I said, for any of you with amazing world-building ideas, unique characters and races, or concepts for plotlines and ideas, please share!

For the sake of support I’ll put mine here it this is where we place them yes?
If not I’ll remove mine.
The genre is post is... the best way to describe it is Post Post-apocalyptic. The world has seen many massive wars and battles and has ultimately changed far beyond what we remember it.
The world is mostly now run by small Companies that have built and established themselves as settled areas over the course of centuries in a sort of Corprate feudalism, warring with each other and the inhabitants of the desert wasteland or ‘Wasters’.
The story itself however has little to do with the wastes, but a new section of their world called The Green-sea. A massive continent almost layered in pure green vegitation as far as can be seen of it, the trees themselves are massive reaching incredible heights and grow with an aggressive consuming speed the likes no one in the wastes has ever imagined.
Now a section of the green sea is called the Katali area, previously known as the Katali properties as it was previously owned by a company called Vanderton Industries, before the Locals demanded independence about ten years prior to the story.
Since then it is called the Katali republic, as the locals wanted to try democracy instead of corprate feudalism.
The problem is, the primative locals were not nearly prepared for independence and have recently split into a civil war, one supported by Vanderton industrial’s Rival, Wakatashi Military Industries.
So feeling a sense of paternalism and wanting to prevent wakatashi from claiming the ever plentiful Katali Vanderton industrial has agreed to aide the Katali republic with funding and supplies, and sending out billions of recruitement fliers into the wastes to recruite ready and willing mercenaries to aide in defeating the rebels.
The roles people would play are up and coming mercenaries from a place far different than they’ve usually seen.
Backgrounds are a mix of diverse people with Diverse backgrounds.
Some examples are Corporate Security soldiers, people who used to work for a company’s military or police force.
A waster, which are the inhabitants of the waste and Range from the bordering tribal raider types, to the homely barely surviving settlers, and wanderers.
Or a professional mercenary who’s life is waging war for a dollar, fighting for no country, but dying for good pay.
Most recently one of the character ideas is for some one to be a reporter for the wastes many companies hired to depict the mercenaries negatively

I don't have much to say except that my roleplay days started on MySpace in the MySpace chatrooms. I wasn't really welcomed because of it so I decided to join the resident evil verse as a polar bear in the year of 2008. 9 years ago. And those times were the best times ever. For the most part. As soon as MySpace died I went to this MySpace clone called "SiteModel" in 2011. Once that died I went to Facebook for a while and when that died down, I now currently reside on Roleplayer.me and Aniroleplay.com but both are utter shitholes so I came here after my unfortunate experience on Roleplayerguild. Sorry this doesn't seem as long but I wanted to get to the end is all.
AND I JUST REALIZED THIS ISN'T A WHERE DID YOU START ROLEPLAYING thread and I apologize.
