Welcome to the Hallow Halls Inn.
How did you end up here? Well, you were on a road trip and needed somewhere to stop and rest for an hour or two, to your luck, a blizzard came and hit the mountain side the Inn is on. You have kindly been invited to stay by the owner, who you have not seen since your initial meeting.
Luckily, you have been talking to a member of the staff by the name of Janet Kim. Janet seems less creepy than the rest of the staff... well, that is until you hear she’s the in house medium.
So, come sit around the fire, relax, enjoy your time at the Hallowed Halls Inn.
If you don’t mind a few uninvited guests...

Janet could see and hear people she knew weren’t there. People who had passed away. She’d had this ‘gift’ since she was a young girl, however people rarely believed her. As she sat next to the fire, looking around at the guests who were sadly trapped inside the evil motel, she wondered if they believed her.
Ghosts were never her best friends. Half of them didn’t know they were dead. “I know I sound crazy for saying I can speak and see dead people, but I’ve been tested for schizophrenia and a load of other mental illnesses. They put me on different meds and different types but of therapy, but none worked. They stopped when I told my psychiatrist her sister is okay.” A small laugh left the girl’s lips.
Her eyes glanced back down at the flames, the smile on her face dropping.
It was going to be a long night for everyone, even the dead ones.
Kino was sitting in front of the fire. He put down his bag and try to relax on this cold blizzard day. He look around and he was fascinated with the old gothic design. He grab his smartphone and there is no phone signal that he put it back on his pocket.
"Man...I hope I can make it to the country fair...who knows what good events happening."

Travis was rather frightened in this place. He seemed to glance around and look behind his back every couple moments, making sure there was nothing behind him, before shifting around in his seat because of his nerves. The vibe of the house itself gave him massive jitters, though of course, they had to be snowed in. Right when he was planning on leaving, too! Nonetheless, he was glad it was some place warm, like here, and not outside, in the cold.
He heard Janet's words and lightly shivered, nodding at her, before looking over at the other guests. He sure hoped nobody meant harm here, because he didn't know what he'd do if anything like that was on the line. He shivered once again, wrapping himself in his oversized cardigan, before signing in content. He really should've picked a better outfit, because shorts weren't quite doing it right now.
Wait, Janet had mentioned she was a median. That means ghosts, right? Great, more things to add on to Travis' list of fears, as if this wasn't enough! But, still, he only hoped for the best.

Andrew came to sit around the fire, shivering. It was freezing outside, and he was grateful to escape the chilling weather. He looked around briefly at the other two people sitting there. Janet Kim had said she was a medium. Obviously, that was a ridiculous lie for people not as logical as himself. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and started reading the latest robotics article, although he wasn't very focused on it. There was something definitely off about the Hallow Halls Inn, he just couldn't place his finger on it...
Nonsense. It probably wasn't anything important, definitely not related to the supernatural at all...

Kara was seated at the far left of the group, her knees pressed together. She swept her hand through her dark hair, trying not to feel nervous. It was unfortunate that the blizzard incident happened, her destination was just an hour or so away...
When she first went in, it came to her that the hotel was unique, to say the least. The hotel's staff made her uncomfortable, and the place was oddly dark, despite the fire's orange glow. She was lost in thought for a while, thinking of her apartment's nice warmth and comfort, writing stories on her laptop, doodling in her sketchbook... She suddenly came out of it, just in time to listen to what Janet, the staff member, was talking about.
“I know I sound crazy for saying I can speak and see dead people, but I’ve been tested for schizophrenia and a load of other mental illnesses. They put me on different meds and different types but of therapy, but none worked. They stopped when I told my psychiatrist her sister is okay.” She spoke, letting out a weak laugh.
Kara's eyes widened a little. A medium working at a place like this? She felt like she heard of something like that before. She was also deeply interested in the staff member's story, as Kara herself encountered what might have been called 'paranormal'. It's just that she never knew if it were a hallucination or not.
"Uh... What did you do then?" She asked, just loud enough to hear clearly. She leaned forward just a tiny bit, curious as to what she would say.

I woke up in the treeline outside, this place had a chill that edged its way to the bone. I hurried over to the house before I froze to death. Inside there was a fireplace directly ahead. Some people sitting by it, I assume they're here because of the conditions outside. After taking in my surroundings, I closed the door and proceeded to kick the snow off of my boots. I sighed and sat by the fire to warm up. I took in the place. Very eerie and creepy. Then again, I've seen worse. It wasn't my choice being here, I just take whatever the evil hand of life gives me. I looked at the others unfortunate enough to get caught in this weather. They had places to be... I thought to myself. They have family and friends waiting for them. I hope that despite this creepy hotel, my experience here will be somewhat enjoyable.
I just have to play the hand I'm dealt I suppose. I took a deep breath, then sighed.

"It's colder than a bowl of chilled custard..."
The Young French Male rubbed the side of his arms. His small robot that stayed with him would try to keep his master warm. Even if he wasn't large like Galette Krone. Asroc kept his distance from the others. He was not one to mingle with others. He was not a people person.

I looked around and tried gathering my surroundings. It was dim despite the roaring fire behind me. I was warm now, almost hot. As I looked, a figure outside of the group huddled by the fire caught my eye. He was pretty shady looking, not much younger than I am.My curiosity was peaked. However, in my time, I learned not to interfere with those who wish to be avoided.
Everyone has a story. I began pondering as to what his could be. I always enjoyed a good tale.

Jacob shivered, scooting closer to the fire from where he sat on the floor; Slink was snoring just behind him and Sophie was curled in a fluffy ball in his lap. Sunny and Calliope were with his siblings at the hotel they'd meant to stay at overnight, and the rest of his family were at his grandpa's ranch for the two weeks' celebration they had for all of the winter holidays. He'd already called when he saw the blizzard coming in, letting them know he wasn't stranded and that he was safe.
"Ain't nothin crazy about you, Ms Janet. Me'n my family investigate paranormal stuff with our dogs for a living, and seein' ghosts is tame compared to some of the stuff I've seen..." Jake trailed off, one hand rising to the shoulder that bore the mark of wendigo teeth. "If you don't mind me askin', do you only see human ghosts or do you see animal ones too?" The thought of Theodore, the St. Bernard he'd grown up around, was on Jake's mind as he asked. Sophie lifted her head and whuffed at him gently.

Lilla opens and closes the inn door quietly behind her before taking in her surroundings and lowering the hood on her fur cloak. She quietly takes note of the layout of the ground floor. The atmosphere seems lacking. Lil removes her cloak and hangs it up before she lifts her trunk and carries it over behind the desk. It settles with a thud, likely startling some of the frozen feet by the fire. Lil lets them be and pulls a tea kettle from the trunk. She steps outside to fill it with snow before joining the group at the fire. After hanging the kettle over the open flames, she sits as close to the fire as possible. Snow crusted the fur socks with leather soles that she considered boots and needed melted off.
Lilla couldn't partake in supernatural musings with frozen ins and outsides. This has been a very difficult journey, and she was still miles away from her new apprentice's home. She had never had an apprentice before, and began to muse on the concept and remember her early days with Mistress Rach. Mind wandered as snow melted.
